Abstract

This paper proposes a novel secure distributed storage protocol leveraging the principles of quantum error-correcting codes (QECCs). Traditional distributed storage systems face significant security vulnerabilities due to the inherent risks of data transmission and storage across multiple nodes. This protocol aims to mitigate these vulnerabilities by utilizing the inherent redundancy and error-correcting capabilities of QECCs. The core mechanism involves constructing a distributed storage system based on QECCs, ensuring data protection during both transmission and storage phases. The protocol's design addresses the limitations of conventional approaches, enhancing security and improving system reliability. Mathematical formulations and key concepts are presented to illustrate the protocol's operation and demonstrate its effectiveness. The key contributions lie in the efficient application of QECCs to a distributed storage environment, offering a robust solution against various attack vectors. Further research will focus on optimizing the protocol for large-scale deployments and exploring the integration with existing distributed storage technologies.
