Abstract

This paper proposes a novel distributed database consistency protocol leveraging quantum error correction (QEC) techniques. Traditional distributed database systems often struggle to achieve strong consistency, leading to potential data inconsistencies and reliability issues. This protocol addresses these challenges by encoding database transactions into quantum error-correcting codes and utilizing QEC to guarantee data consistency across distributed nodes. The core claim is the utilization of quantum error correction to achieve strong consistency in distributed databases, enhancing data reliability and availability. The proposed mechanism involves decomposing database transactions into quantum error-correcting codes, thereby providing a robust framework for data transmission and storage across nodes. We demonstrate that QEC offers a superior level of data protection compared to conventional approaches, leading to improved data integrity and availability in distributed database environments. This work represents a significant advancement in the field of distributed database systems, offering a path towards highly reliable and consistent data management solutions.
