Abstract
This paper presents a novel approach to designing secure distributed databases by leveraging quantum error-correcting codes. Traditional distributed databases face vulnerabilities to data corruption and unauthorized access. This research proposes encoding database data into quantum error-correcting codes, utilizing distributed storage and the inherent correction capabilities of these codes to achieve fault-tolerant data storage and retrieval. The core mechanism involves mapping database records to quantum states within a chosen error-correcting code, enabling detection and correction of errors introduced during storage or transmission. We explore the feasibility and potential advantages of this approach, emphasizing enhanced data security and resilience against various attack vectors. The design considers the challenges associated with implementing quantum error correction in a distributed environment and proposes strategies for optimizing performance and scalability. This work contributes to the emerging field of quantum-secured data management and lays the groundwork for future research in this area.
