Abstract

We propose a Multi-user Quantum Key Distribution(MQKD) protocol, which only needs n quantum channels for a communication system of n users to realize the protocol with entangled states and entanglement swapping.By the quantum mediator, any two among n users of the system can communicate with each other, even though there is no direct quantum channel between them.Based on the traffic theory,we present a relationship formula of the number of user n and the number of Bell state measurement units m.Because entanglement swapping entangles the quantum states of the two users, the quantum mediator has no way to fraudulently intervene in or eavesdrop on the communication.

Authenticated Multiuser Quantum Direct Communication using Entanglement Swapping

Changho Hong, Ji‐In Kim, Hwayean Lee +1 more

We present Authenticated Multiuser Quantum Direct Communication(MQDC) protocols using entanglement swapping. Quantum direct communication is believed to be a safe way to send a secret message without quantum key distribution. The authentication process in our protocol allows only proper users to participate in communication. In the communication stage after the authentication, any two authorized users among n users can communicate each other even though there is no quantum communication channels between them. For this protocol, we need only n quantum communication channels between the authenticator and n users. It is similar to the present telephone system in which there are n communication channels between telephone company and users and any two designated users can communicate each other using telephone line through the telephone company. The securities of our protocols are analysed to be the same as those of other quantum key distribution protocols.

Quantum key distribution protocol based on any Bell states

Liu Lin-Yao, HU Meng-Jun, Guangjun Xie

In order to improve the security and efficiency of quantum key distribution protocol,a protocol was proposed based on entanglement swapping. The two parties of communication establish the key by performing the Bell state measurement. No other people can get the key without being found.Different from the proposed protocol, the Bell measurement of any two Bell states can be realized to achieve the purpose of quantum key distribution. It does not need multi-particle entangled state but only EPR pair to realize the protocol.Analysis results showed that this protocol not only ensures the security of the quantum key shared information, but also uses the entanglement states of two photons without unitary operation. And the protocol is simple and efficient.

Quantum Cryptographic Network Using Entanglement Swapping

Dexi Zhang, Qiuyu Zhao, Xiaoyu Li

Traditional quantum key distribution schemes are carried out one-on-one. Both quantum and classical channels are needed between any two users. This paper presents a quantum cryptographic network based on entanglement swapping and a key manage center. People can fulfill key distribution between any two users. Only channels between manage center and users are needed while users need no communications between each other. So it can save resource effectively and it is more reliable and flexible.

Quantum Key Distribution Using Four-Qubit W State

A quantum key distribution and identification protocol based on entanglement swapping

Fei Gao, Fen-Zhuo Guo, Qiaoyan Wen +1 more

A quantum key distribution and identification protocol is proposed, which is based on entanglement swapping. Through choosing particles by twos from the sequence and performing Bell measurements, two communicators can detect eavesdropping, identify each other and obtain the secure key according to the measurement results. Because the two particles measured together are selected out randomly, we need neither alternative measurements nor rotation of the Bell states. Furthermore, less Bell measurements are needed in our protocol than in the previous similar ones.
