Abstract This paper proposes a hybrid bidirectional quantum communication protocol, in which two parties simultaneously transmit two-qubit states: one via quantum teleportation (QT) and the other via remote state preparation (RSP). This approach establishes a more flexible model for bidirectional quantum communication. The protocol utilizes a specially designed maximally entangled quantum channel to enable hybrid bidirectional communication. By performing Bell measurements, joint projective measurements, and corresponding unitary operations, quantum teleportation from Alice to Bob and remote state preparation from Bob to Alice can be accomplished synchronously. Furthermore, the robustness of the proposed protocol is evaluated under three typical noisy environments, namely the amplitude damping (AD) channel, phase damping(PD) channel and the depolarizing (DP) channel. The proposed protocol provides a novel framework for effcient bidirectional quantum communication, with potential advantages in enhancing interactivity and optimizing resource utilization in future quantum networks.
Quantum secure communications could securely transmit quantum information by using quantum resource. Recently, novel applications such as bidirectional and asymmetric quantum protocols have been developed. \n \nIn this paper, we propose a new method for generating entanglement which is highly useful for multiparty quantum communications such as teleportation and Remote State Preparation (RSP). As one of its applications, we propose a new type of quantum secure communications, i.e. cyclic RSP protocols. Starting from a four-party controlled cyclic RSP protocol of one-qubit states, we show that this cyclic protocol can be generalized to a multiparty controlled cyclic RSP protocol for preparation of arbitrary qubit states. We point out that previous bidirectional and asymmetric protocols can be regarded as a simpler form of our cyclic RSP protocols.
We present a controlled quantum teleportation protocol. In the protocol, quantum information of an unknown state of a 2-level particle is faithfully transmitted from a sender Alice to a remote receiver Bob via an initially shared triplet of entangled particles under the control of the supervisor Charlie. The distributed entangled particles shared by Alice, Bob and Charlie function as a quantum information channel for faithful transmission. We also propose a controlled and secure direct communication scheme by means of this teleportation. After ensuring the security of the quantum channel, Alice encodes the secret message directly on a sequence of particle states and transmits them to Bob supervised by Charlie using this controlled quantum teleportation. Bob can read out the encoded message directly by the measurement on his qubit. In this scheme, the controlled quantum teleportation transmits Alice's message without revealing any information to a potential eavesdropper. Because there is not a transmission of the qubit carrying the secret message between Alice and Bob in the public channel, it is completely secure for controlled and direct secret communication if perfect quantum channel is used. The special feature of this scheme is that the communication between two sides depends on the agreement of a third side to co-operate.
Quantum teleportation relies on pre-existing entanglement, local operations and classical communication to transfer an unknown quantum state. Quantum remote state preparation (QRSP) shares the same objective, but the sender already knows the state to be transmitted. This research introduces an innovative tripartite scheme for QRSP, allowing three users to simultaneously send and receive single-qubit states. The scheme is further extended to accommodate the transmission of states with an arbitrary number of qubits among the users. The protocol's functionality is validated through circuit implementation in the Qiskit library, ensuring its practical feasibility. Additionally, its performance is analyzed in a noisy environment, providing insights into its robustness. The efficiency of the proposed protocols is compared with recent schemes, highlighting their advancements in quantum communication. Compared to previous tripartite RSP schemes, the proposed protocol achieves higher efficiency (η = 0.50), modular scalability, and experimental realizability using standard quantum gates. This study contributes to advancements in multi-user quantum communication, secure quantum cryptography, and quantum networking, paving the way for scalable quantum systems.
Abstract The scheme for asymmetric and deterministic controlled bidirectional joint remote state preparation by using one ten-qubit entangled state as the quantum channel is proposed. In this scheme, Alice and David want to remotely prepare an arbitrary single-qubit state at Bob’s site, at the same time, Bob and Eve wish to help Alice remotely prepare an arbitrary two-qubit entangled state. Alice and Bob can simultaneously prepare the desired states with the cooperation of David and Eve under the control of Charlie .
Since the first protocol of quantum teleportation based on an EPR pair was presented by Bennett et al. in 1993, it has become a hot topic in quantum communication. It is known that entanglement plays a key role in quantum teleportation. Various schemes of controlled quantum teleportation and bidirectional controlled quantum teleportation have been developed by using all kinds of multi-parties entangled states as a quantum channel, e.g. GHZ states, W states, 5-qubit cluster states, 6-qubit cluster states, 7-qubit cluster states, maximally entangled 5-qubit states, maximally entangled 6-qubit states, genuine entangled 6-qubit states, genuine entangled 7-qubit states, genuine entangled 8-qubit states. In this paper, a genuine entangled 9-qubit state is used as channel of quantum teleportation, and two schemes of bidirectional controlled quantum teleportation are proposed. One scheme is that with the control of Charlie Alice can transmit an arbitrary unknown qubit state to Bob and Bob can transmit an arbitrary unknown 3-qubit state to Alice in the same time. Another scheme is that with the control of Charlie Alice and Bob can transmit an arbitrary unknown 2-qubit to each other simultaneously. Compared with the existed schemes, our scheme can transmit more qubits of arbitrary state in total by an entangled state, and the intrinsic efficiency of our scheme is maybe the best. Moreover, the genuine entangled 9-qubit state used in our scheme can be produced through some simple quantum unitary gates.
