The leading cause of illness in aging is a group known as Noncommunicable Diseases. There should be some meeting points that modify the cells homeostasis and impaired the cell physiology developing different diseases. Quantum physics studied the atomic and subatomic particles and revolutionized the reality perception with paradoxical and weird concepts. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle established that it is not possible to determine the two characteristic properties of particles with accuracy. Subatomic particles have a wave-particle duality. Two subatomic particles are entangled, something happening over here can have an instantaneous effect over there, no matter how far away there are. All these concepts have tried to apply to biology and life sciences, quantum biology is behind photosynthesis, mitochondrial respiration, enzyme activity, the sense of smell, animal migration, heredity's fidelity, and consciousness. We can apply all these concepts to diseases pathogeny. So, we describe quantum phenomena in oxidative stress, calcification, signal transduction, vitamin D production and cancer mutations. Aging diseases also could be explained by applying quantum physics concepts. It is a new, hard to believe, and an incredible path to be built, but we need to open the treatment options to our patients with new perspectives. Keywords: Oxidative stress; Calcification; Signal transduction; Vitamin D; Cancer mutations; Quantum phenomena

The leading cause and foremost reason for mortality and morbidity in the world is a group known as Noncommunicable Diseases. The best approach to treat them is to evaluate and control the risk factors. There are shared by all these diseases leading to the existence of some meeting points behind all of them. There should be some key to acquire conditions that modify the cells homeostasis and impaired the cell physiology developing different diseases. Physics try to explain the nature of the phenomena that surround us, at first, at the level of our macroscopic perception. Quantum physics studied the atomic and subatomic particles and revolutionized the reality perception with paradoxical and weird concepts. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle established that it is not possible to determine the two characteristic properties of particles with accuracy; measurement affects the system and change it. Subatomic particles have a wave-particle duality that could be in a coherence statement, also can pass through high-energy barriers. Two subatomic particles are entangled, something happening over here can have an instantaneous effect over there, no matter how far away there are. All these concepts have tried to apply to biology and life sciences, especially when classical physics fails to give an accurate description. Quantum biology is behind photosynthesis, mitochondrial respiration, enzyme activity, the sense of smell, animal migration, heredity's fidelity, and consciousness. We can apply all these concepts to diseases pathogeny. So, we describe quantum phenomena in oxidative stress, calcification, signal transduction, vitamin D production, cancer mutations, and microbiome induced pathology. I want to propose that medicine also can be explained by applying quantum physics concepts. It is a new, hard to believe, and an incredible path to be built, but we need to open the treatment options to our patients with new perspectives.
Biological processes such as photosynthesis, enzymaticcatalysis, smell, and vision, which cannot be explained by the laws of classical physics, can be addressed by quantum physics, specifically biological physics, and thus be transferred to phenomena described in the health sciences. This will undoubtedly revolutionize the understanding of human life. For example, within the framework of quantum biology, consciousness and the soul are believed to be contained in microtubules, structures within brain cells. The understanding and subsequent prediction of chemical reactions responsible for the signs and symptoms of disease, and for health (homeostasis), are addressed by quantum science, which allows us to redescribe the properties of DNA and proteins. This essay presents reflections on the fundamental processes that occur in humans from a quantum perspective, a possible dialogue despite the limited number of quantum theories and the pretension of considering the complex phenomena that characterize the health sciences as classical and reductionist.
The interrelation between quantum physics and biology was once excluded as impossible, but it is now being reconsidered in unexpected and unprecedented ways. Quantum biology is a novel frontier of science that studies quantum effects in biological systems: Life functions and senses of perceptions appear to be mediated by quantum mechanical processes, which allow living organisms to sustain themselves and experience reality. Photosynthesis, magnetoreception, olfaction, and potentially our sense of consciousness would be possible through the weird quantum-energetic behavior of subatomic particles. Modern medicine is being impacted as well by the quantum revolution, with a shift in perspective from material particles to energy fields, in accordance with the principles of traditional medical systems, such as Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Homeopathy.
Quantum mechanics, the branch of physics that deals with the behavior of matter and energy at atomic and subatomic scales, may seem like a highly theoretical subject confined to laboratories, but its principles are deeply embedded in our everyday lives. This study explores the profound influence of quantum mechanics on various phenomena and technologies that shape modern society. Concepts such as wave-particle duality, superposition, and quantum entanglement, though initially counterintuitive, provide explanations for numerous occurrences and innovations in our daily existence. One of the most visible impacts of quantum mechanics is in the realm of technology. Semiconductors, integral to devices like smartphones, computers, and televisions, operate on principles of quantum mechanics, enabling the development of advanced electronics. Additionally, quantum phenomena underpin technologies such as lasers, LEDs, and MRI machines, revolutionizing fields from medicine to communication.Quantum mechanics also plays a crucial role in natural processes, such as photosynthesis, where quantum coherence boosts energy efficiency in plants. In the biological realm, quantum effects influence senses like smell and vision, adding another layer to the complexity of life. Even the colors we see in objects or the efficiency of solar panels are outcomes of quantum principles at work. Beyond practical technologies, quantum mechanics challenges our fundamental understanding of the universe. Concepts like the uncertainty principle and quantum superposition disrupt classical views of reality, leading to new perspectives on causality and measurement. As quantum research progresses, its applications are poised to expand further, potentially leading to breakthroughs in fields like quantum computing, cryptography, and energy systems. This exploration emphasizes how quantum mechanics, despite its abstract nature, is central to both the technologies and the natural phenomena that define our everyday experiences.
This study explores the potential of quantum computing as an alternative information processing approach, utilizing quantum bits (qubits), superposition, and entanglement to significantly expand computational capabilities in the healthcare domain. It is evident that quantum mechanics has become a foundational component in the construction of our contemporary physical reality. This scientific field is distinguished by its rapid advancement and the potential to transform various aspects of our daily lives. In this era, quantum biology is of significant importance and has the potential to act as a transformative force, particularly in the field of medicine, specifically in addressing the challenges posed by cancer. Cancer is defined as a complex and abnormal alteration of cells, orchestrated through intricate signaling pathways. This transformation is characterized by the accumulation of deleterious mutations. The concept of phenocopy, representing genetic mutations influenced by the environment, challenges the linear process line of molecular biology involving DNA, RNA, and proteins. Notwithstanding the augmented focus on quantum biology in recent decades, a plethora of unresolved issues persist within the domain of cancer biology, thereby giving rise to unexplored avenues. Quantum theory has demonstrated its ability to explain models related to biological and biochemical processes, encompassing the effects of carcinogens on genes, the mechanism of interactions between chemotherapy drugs and DNA, and the understanding of DNA mutations and defective protein synthesis. Recent skepticism among quantum physicists regarding the fundamental role of quantum effects in biology has emerged, particularly with regard to open quantum systems and the impact of decoherence on the destruction of coherence necessary for significant quantum effects. The document under scrutiny herein undertakes an investigation of recent studies that are rooted in the principles of quantum physics, with a particular focus on the manner in which these principles apply to the domains of cancer biology and metabolism.
