Abstract

In this work, we examine a nonlinear version of the Tavis-Cummings model for two two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode field within a cavity in the context of power-law potentials. We consider the effect of the particle position that depends on the velocity and acceleration, and the coupling parameter is supposed to be time-dependent. We examine the effect of velocity and acceleration on the dynamical behavior of some quantumness measures, namely as von Neumann entropy, concurrence and Mandel parameter. We have found that the entanglement of subsystem states and the photon statistics are largely dependent on the choice of the qubit motion and power-law exponent. The obtained results present potential applications for quantum information and optics with optimal conditions.

Quantumness Measures for a System of Two Qubits Interacting with a Field in the Presence of the Time-Dependent Interaction and Kerr Medium

S. Abdel‐Khalek, K. Berrada, Eied Mahmoud Khalil +3 more

In this work, we introduce the standard Tavis-Cummings model to describe two-qubit system interacting with a single-mode field associated to power-law (PL) potentials. We explore the effect of the time-dependent interaction and the Kerr-like medium. We solve the Schrödinger equation to obtain the density operator that allows us to investigate the dynamical behaviour of some quantumness measures, such as von Neumann entropy, negativity and Mandel's parameter. We provide how these entanglement measures depend on the system parameters, which paves the way towards better control of entanglement generation in two-qubit systems. We find that the enhancement and preservation of the atoms-field entanglement and atom-atom entanglement can be achieved by a proper choice of the initial parameters of the field in the absence and presence of the time-dependent interaction and Kerr medium. We examine the photons distribution of the field and determine the situations for which the field exhibits super-poissonian, poissonian or sub-poissonian distribution.

Wigner function and entanglement dynamics of a two-atom two-mode nonlinear Jaynes–Cummings model

Mahnaz Ghorbani, Mohammad Javad Faghihi, Hassan Safari

In this paper, a model in which two moving atoms interact with a two-mode field with nondegenerate two-photon transitions is studied in the presence of intensity-dependent coupling. To discuss the entanglement dynamics between subsystems as well as nonclassicality of the system, the time-dependent form of the state vector of the system is exactly obtained. The dynamics of entanglement between the atoms and the field is evaluated by the von Neumann entropy. To examine the degree of entanglement between the atoms, concurrence and negativity are obtained. Then, in order to understand the nonclassicality feature of the state vector of the system, the two-mode Wigner–Weyl quasi-probability distribution function is precisely derived. It is deduced from the numerical results that the domain and the maximum amount of the degree of entanglement and nonclassicality of the system can be appropriately tuned by suitably adopting the nonlinearity function and the field-mode structure parameters.

Nonlocal correlation dynamics of two qubits interacting with a cavity coherent field: time-dependent atomic location effects

Mostafa Hashem, Fahad Aljuaydi, Atta Ur Rahman +1 more

Abstract This work delves into the nonlocal correlation dynamics of the maximum-Bell nonlocality (MBN), uncertainty-induced nonlocality (UIN), and concurrence of two two-level atoms having time-dependent atomic locations within Tavis-Cummings model. By considering a scenario where the pure two qubits resonantly interact with an even coherent cavity field through a two-photon transition, we explore the nonlocal correlation dynamics of both moving and stationary two-atom configurations under varying conditions and coupling parameters. Our findings reveal that the coherent cavity induces the successful generation of nonlocal correlations between atoms in both modes, with moving atoms exhibiting higher and symmetrical nonlocal correlations. Interestingly, dynamical maps showcase distinct behaviors for atoms at rest, exhibiting precocity at higher atom-cavity strengths. Moreover, equal coupling strength results in lower quantum correlations. The UIN measure emerges as the most robust quantum function, showing enhancements with sustained unequal coupling strengths, contrasting with the MBN and concurrence. These insights offer a nuanced understanding of nonlocal correlations in the Tavis-Cummings model, essential for advancing quantum information science and technology.

Single-atom entropy squeezing and quantum entanglement in Tavis–Cummings model with atomic motion

Zou Yan

We examine the single-atom entropy squeezing and the atom–field entanglement in a system of two moving two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode coherent field in a lossless resonant cavity. Our numerical calculations indicate that the squeezing period, the squeezing time and the maximal squeezing can be controlled by appropriately choosing the atomic motion and the field-mode structure. The atomic motion leads to a periodical time evolution of entanglement between the two-atom and the field. Moreover, there exists corresponding relation between the time evolution properties of the atomic entropy squeezing and that of the entanglement between the two atoms and the field.

Manipulation of entanglement and preparation of quantum states for moving two-atom and the light field via intensity-dependent coupling

Xiaojuan Liu, Zhou Bing-Ju, Liu Yi-Man +1 more

In this paper, the Tavis-Cummings model is generalized to simultaneously consider the atomic motion and the field via intensity dependent coupling. Under the conditions of vacuum field, weakly and strongly coherent field, the entanglement evolution properties of two-atom-field and two-atom-two-atom are investigated using atomic reduced entropy and concurrence, respectively. According to evolution characteristics above, we prepare the W-class states of two-atom-field, two-atom Bell state, fidelity state of Bell-state atoms, single-photon state, two-photon state and stable number-states of field by selecting the interaction time of the two-atom-field, selecting the entanglement factor of the two-atom, regulating the field-mode structure parameter, controlling the probability amplitude of pure state of the system and selective measurement. The manipulation of two-atom Bell state sudden generation and its maintenance in a limited time, the formation of periodic quantum echo of Bell-state atoms and the continuous fidelity of Bell-state atomic information are achieved. The results show that the system has a powerful function of quantum information, and provide the physical carrier and theoretical parameters for experimental implementation of quantum information processing.

Pure and Mixed State Entanglement Dynamics in Tavis-Cummings Model with Squeezed Coherent Thermal States

Koushik Mandal, Satyanarayana, M. V.

We investigate the entanglement dynamics of two atoms interacting with a single-mode cavity field within the Tavis-Cummings model in the presence of noise. The atoms are initially prepared in either pure Bell states or mixed Werner states, allowing a direct comparison of pure- and mixed-state entanglement. The cavity field is described by generalized single-mode squeezed coherent thermal states, incorporating both thermal and quantum noise effects. Atom-atom and atom-field entanglement are quantified using concurrence and negativity, respectively. We analyze entanglement sudden death and revival, and examine how Ising-type coupling, dipole-dipole interaction, Kerr nonlinearity, and detuning modify the entanglement dynamics. Our results show that thermal photons generally suppress entanglement and enhance sudden death, while squeezing counteracts these effects. The influence of nonlinearities and interatomic interactions depends sensitively on the purity of the initial atomic state, leading to qualitatively different behaviors for Bell and Werner states.
