Single-atom entropy squeezing and quantum entanglement in Tavis–Cummings model with atomic motion

Abstract

We examine the single-atom entropy squeezing and the atom–field entanglement in a system of two moving two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode coherent field in a lossless resonant cavity. Our numerical calculations indicate that the squeezing period, the squeezing time and the maximal squeezing can be controlled by appropriately choosing the atomic motion and the field-mode structure. The atomic motion leads to a periodical time evolution of entanglement between the two-atom and the field. Moreover, there exists corresponding relation between the time evolution properties of the atomic entropy squeezing and that of the entanglement between the two atoms and the field.

Quantum entanglement between the two-mode fields and atomic entropy squeezing in the system of a moving atom interacting with two-mode entangled coherent field

Zou Yan, Li Yong-Ping

This paper investigates the entropy squeezing of a moving two-level atom interacting with the two-mode entangled coherent field via two-photon transition by using an entropic uncertainty relation and the degree of entanglement between the two-mode fields by using quantum relative entropy. The results obtained from numerical calculation indicate that the squeezed period, the duration of entropy squeezing and the maximal squeezing can be controlled by appropriately choosing the intensity of the light field, the atomic motion and the field-mode structure. The atomic motion leads to the periodic recovery of the initial maximal degree of entanglement between the two-mode fields. Moreover, there exists a corresponding relation between the time evolution properties of the atomic entropy squeezing and those of the entanglement between the two-mode fields.

Quantum entanglement and position–momentum entropic squeezing of a moving Lambda-type three-level atom interacting with a single-mode quantized field with intensity-dependent coupling

Mohammad Javad Faghihi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, we study the interaction between a moving Λ-type three-level atom and a single-mode cavity field in the presence of intensity-dependent atom–field coupling. After obtaining the state vector of the entire system explicitly, we study the nonclassical features of the system such as quantum entanglement, position–momentum entropic squeezing, quadrature squeezing and sub-Poissonian statistics. According to the obtained numerical results we illustrate that the squeezed period, the duration of entropy squeezing and the maximal squeezing can be controlled by choosing the appropriate nonlinearity function together with entering the atomic motion effect by the suitable selection of the field-mode structure parameter. Also, the atomic motion, as well as the nonlinearity function, leads to the oscillatory behaviour of the degree of entanglement between the atom and field.

Entropy squeezing of a moving atom and control of noise of the quantum mechanical channel via the two-photon process

Bingju Zhou, Xiaojuan Liu, Qingping Zhou +1 more

Based on the quantum information theory, we have investigated the entropy squeezing of a moving two-level atom interacting with the coherent field via the quantum mechanical channel of the two-photon process. The results are compared with those of atomic squeezing based on the Heisenberg uncertainty relation. The influences of the atomic motion and field-mode structure parameter on the atomic entropy squeezing and on the control of noise of the quantum mechanical channel via the two-photon process are examined. Our results show that the squeezed period, duration of optimal entropy squeezing of a two-level atom and the noise of the quantum mechanical channel can be controlled by appropriately choosing the atomic motion and the field-mode structure parameter, respectively. The quantum mechanical channel of two-photon process is an ideal channel for quantum information (atomic quantum state) transmission. Quantum information entropy is a remarkably accurate measure of the atomic squeezing.

Evolution of Field Entropy in a System of Squeezed Coherent State Light Field Interacting with Two Moving Entangled Atoms

Zhang Caihua

The field entropy evolution in a system which is composed of two moving entangled atoms interacting with the squeezed coherent state is studied by means of the full quantum theory. The influences of the coherent amplitude factor, the squeezing factor, the atomic motion and the field-model structure parameter on the field entropy are discussed. The result shows that the atomic motion leads to the periodic evolution of the field entropy. An increase of coherent amplitude factor weaken the degree of entanglement between the atoms and the light field. However,an increase of squeezing factor of light strengthen the degree of entanglement between the atoms and the light field. With increasing atomic speed or field-model structure parameter, the evolution period of the field entropy becomes shorter, and the degree of entanglement between field and moving atoms becomes smaller.

A simple model for a minimal environment: the two-atom Tavis–Cummings model revisited

G. L. Deçordi, A. Vidiella-Barranco

Individual quantum systems may be interacting with surrounding environments having a small number of degrees of freedom. Here we discuss a simple toy model: a system constituted by a two-level atom (atom 1) interacting with a single mode cavity field which is (weakly) coupled to a small environment (atom 2). We investigate the influence of the minimal environment on the dynamics of the linear entropy and the atomic dipole squeezing of atom 1, as well as the entanglement between atom 1 and the field. We also obtain the full analytical solution of the two-atom Tavis–Cummings model for both arbitrary coupling strengths and frequency detunings, necessary to analyse the influence of the field-environment detuning on the evolution of the system’s quantum properties. For complementarity, we discuss the role of the degree of mixedness of the environment by analysing the time-averaged linear entropy of atom 1.

Quantum entanglement in the interaction between squeezing vacuum state field and moving two-level atom

Zeng Ming-sheng, Xie Fang-sen, Huiming Jiang

The properties of the entanglement between squeezing vacuum state field and moving two-level atom are investigated by using the von Neumann entropy. The influences of field-mode structure of moving two-level atom and the squeezing degree of initial squeezing vacuum state field on the entanglement of the quantum system are discussed. The results show that atomic movement can result in evolution periodically of the degree of entanglement. The quantum state will be maximally entangled state for a long time when the squeezing degree are high, the increase of field-mode structure result in more disentangled states.
