Generation of Multi-ion Graph States with Trapped Ions in Thermal Motion

We propose a scheme for generating multi-ion graph states using many trapped ions in thermal motion. Our generation scheme is insensitive to external state since the interaction between ions and laser fields does not involve the external degree of freedom. The scheme can be well realized within the current experimental technique.

Preparation of complex graph states with ion-trap setup

We present a simple scheme to create graph states in an ion-trap system. In the scheme, many ions can be prepared in a complex graph state by one step even in thermal motion. Moreover, our scheme doesn't require individual addressing of the ions.

Two Feasible Schemes for Preparing Cluster States with Ion-Trap Setup

Xin-Wen Wang, Cao Shuai, Li-Xin Xia

We present two schemes for preparing cluster states with atomic qubits in an ion-trap system. In the first scheme an auxiliary atomic level is needed. While in the second scheme an additional classical driven field is used, and the multi-ion cluster states can be generated by one step. Both the schemes are insensitive to thermal motion of the ions, all the facilities used in them are well within state of the art.
