Abstract

We mainly consider the case that one of the two entangled atoms with two energy levels interacts with a single-mode and double-photon cavity field. The atom is selectively detected after exiting the cavity, and it is found that the noncla ssical properties of field states depend strongly on the entanglement degree bet ween the two atoms. Meanwhile, it is proved that the squeezing of the field and the photon antibunching can be greatly enhanced via selective atomic measurement s.

Squeezing enhancement in the Jaynes-Cummings model via selective atomic measurements

Liu Ye

We study the model in which one of two entangled atoms interacts with a single mode cavity field based on the Jaynes Cummings model. Through measurement on the atom, the entanglement swapping can occur. It is proved that the squeezing may be greatly enhanced by conditional measurement on atoms.

The paper mainly considers the interaction about one of the two entangled atoms with the nondegenerate two-photon in cavity. After selective detection on one of the atoms, the properties of the light field has been investigated. It is proved that the average photon numbers and the second-order quantum coherence are dramatically influenced by the entangled degree of the atoms.

Quantum Properties of the Field in the System of Λ-type Three-level Atom Interacting with Two-mode Coherent Light Field

卢道明 LU Dao-ming

Considering two Λ-type three-level atoms initially in the entangled state, one atom is poured into the cavity and interacts with a two-mode cavity. The squeezing and antibunching effects of the field are investigated. The influences of the selective atomic measurement and the intensity of the coherent field, which interacts with atom on squeezing and antibunching effect of the field, are discussed. The results obtained by numerical calculations show that squeezing and antibunching effect of the field can be strengthened through selective atomic measurement for atom outside of the cavity.

The entanglement between two isolated atoms in the double mode–mode competition model

Qin Wu, Mao-Fa Fang, Cai Jian-Wu +1 more

Extending the double Jaynes–Cummings model to a more complicated case where the mode–mode competition is considered, we investigate the entanglement character of two isolated atoms by means of concurrence, and discuss the dependence of atom–atom entanglement on the different initial state and the relative coupling strength between the atom and the corresponding cavity field. The results show that the amplitude and the period of the atom–atom entanglement evolution can be controlled by the choice of initial state and relative coupling strength, respectively. We find that the phenomenon of entanglement sudden death (ESD) is sensitive to the initial conditions. The length of the time interval for zero entanglement depends not only on the initial degree of entanglement between two atoms but also on the relative coupling strength of atom–field interaction. The ESD effect can be weakened by enhancing the mode–mode competition between the three- and single-photon processes.
