INFLUENCE OF ENTANGLEMENT DEGREE ON SQUEEZING AND PHOTON ANTIBUNCHING IN THE TWO-PHOTON JAYNES–CUMMINGS MODEL

Abstract

We study the interaction of two entangled two-energy-level atoms interacts with a single-mode and two-photon cavity field. The atom state is detected after exiting the cavity, and it is found that the nonclassical properties of the field states depend strongly on the entanglement degree between the two atoms. Meanwhile it is shown that squeezing of field and photon antibunching can be greatly enhanced via selective atomic measurements.

EFFECTS OF CAVITY-FIELD STATISTICS ON ATOMIC ENTANGLEMENT IN THE JAYNES–CUMMINGS MODEL

Biplab Ghosh, A. S. Majumdar, N. Nayak

We study the entanglement properties of a pair of two-level atoms going through a cavity one after another. The initial joint state of two successive atoms that enter the cavity is unentangled. Interactions mediated by the cavity photon field result in the final two-atom state being of a mixed entangled type. We consider the field statistics of the Fock state field, and the thermal field, respectively, inside the cavity. The entanglement of formation of the joint two-atom state is calculated for both these cases as a function of the Rabi angle gt. We present a comparitive study of two-atom entanglement for low and high mean photon number cases corresponding to the different fields statistics.

Quantum Properties of the Field in the System of Λ-type Three-level Atom Interacting with Two-mode Coherent Light Field

卢道明 LU Dao-ming

Considering two Λ-type three-level atoms initially in the entangled state, one atom is poured into the cavity and interacts with a two-mode cavity. The squeezing and antibunching effects of the field are investigated. The influences of the selective atomic measurement and the intensity of the coherent field, which interacts with atom on squeezing and antibunching effect of the field, are discussed. The results obtained by numerical calculations show that squeezing and antibunching effect of the field can be strengthened through selective atomic measurement for atom outside of the cavity.

Remote Control of the Nonclassical Properties of Two-mode Anti-correlated Light Fields

Zheng Nai-qing

We consider the case that one of the two initially entangled V-type three-level atoms is injected into a two-mode cavity and resonantly interacting with a two-mode field initially in a SU(2) coherent state.Nonclassical properties of the two-mode correlated field are investigated numerically. The influences of the state-selective measurement of the atom outside the cavity, the total photon number of the two modes, and the partition parameter on the difference squeezing, the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality, the mode-correlation properties, and the photon number distribution are discussed. The results indicate when the state-selective measurement is performed on the atom outside the cavity or the total photon number is increased, the difference squeezing and the sub-Poisson distribution of the photon number of mode a is distinctly enhanced, but the anti-correlation between the two modes is distinctly reduced.

Squeezing enhancement in the Jaynes-Cummings model via selective atomic measurements

Liu Ye

We study the model in which one of two entangled atoms interacts with a single mode cavity field based on the Jaynes Cummings model. Through measurement on the atom, the entanglement swapping can occur. It is proved that the squeezing may be greatly enhanced by conditional measurement on atoms.
