Abstract

In the case of multiple intelligent robots working together, such as the robot soccer game, each robot is required to complete the common task with efficient, safe and fast cooperative communication. Compared with the traditional wireless communication, intelligent robots have the advantages of information security, large capacity, high efficiency and high speed if they interact with each other through quantum communication. In this paper, quantum communication and intelligent robot are combined, and a kind of quantum self-organizing network for robot soccer is proposed. In this network, each robot is both the sender and receiver of quantum information, and all players are communication nodes in the quantum self-organizing network. With the support of certain routing protocols, the network can collect, judge and make decisions on soccer position information, player movement information and soccer goal information. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional wireless method, this scheme not only has higher information security, but also ensures the effectiveness of information transmission. Therefore, this study provides a new idea for the design and development of communication network between soccer robots in the future.

Quantum Communication in Self-Organizing Satellite Networks: Challenges and Opportunities

Weiwei Jiang, Yang Zhang, Haoyu Han +1 more

Self-organizing satellite networks encompasses the development of advanced communication technologies aimed at ensuring high-speed connectivity, enhanced security, and reliability for the next generation of wireless networks. However, traditional network security techniques cannot fulfill the trustworthy requirements in the self-organizing satellite networks. Based on the basic principles of quantum mechanics, quantum communication has clock synchronization characteristics and unbreakable security, which can realize functions and applications that are difficult to achieve in traditional networks. In the era of the rise of quantum techniques, embracing quantum communication technology is an obvious development trend. On the other hand, satellite networks, as a supplement to terrestrial networks, have been recognized as one of the important enabling technologies of future IoT networks. In order to achieve the trustworthy self-organizing satellite networks, it is necessary to effectively combine quantum communication with satellite networks. In this paper, we summarize, analyze and outlook the status quo of relevant technology development, existing research challenges and future development opportunities of quantum communication in the self-organizing satellite network scenario. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first vision work on quantum communication and self-organizing satellite networks.

Zhenzhen Li, Gang Xu, Xiu‐Bo Chen +2 more

In this letter, a novel quantum wireless network communication (QWNC) scheme based on multi-qubit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state is proposed. First, we deduce a general formula for the multi-user QWNC, which can greatly reduce the computational complexity and resource consumption. Second, a self-organized bilayer network architecture, as well as the corresponding communication protocol, are presented to ensure the rapid and steady transmission of quantum information. Finally, the advantages of our scheme are described based on the analysis of communication efficiency and security.

Quantum Network of Cooperative Unmanned Autonomous Systems

Farbod Khoshnoud, I.I. Esat, Clarence Wilfred de Silva +1 more

A quantum network may be realized by the entanglement of particles communicated by qubits between quantum computers, where the entangled photons of light are transferred for communication purposes. This technology has been proven to be feasible experimentally through free-space distribution of entangled photon pairs. Sending photons of light through nonlinear crystals produces correlated photon pairs, by splitting each photon into two half particles with each particle having the same level of energy, which results in entangled pairs. This entanglement is represented by photons, having both either horizontal or vertical polarization. This paper investigates collaborative robotic tasks of unmanned systems in a network where the agents are entangled. For instance, a leader robot sends two identical photons (e.g. with vertical polarization) to two follower robots/autonomous vehicles to communicate information about various tasks such as swarm, formation, trajectory tracking, path following and collaborative tasks. The potential advantages of quantum cooperation of robotic agents is the speed of the process, the ability to achieve security with immunity against cyberattacks, and fault tolerance, through entanglement. If a Quantum Network is implemented in a robotic application, it would present an effective solution; for example, for a group of unmanned systems working securely together. An analytical basis of such systems is investigated in this paper, and the formulation of quantum cooperation of unmanned systems is presented and discussed. The concept of experimental quantum entanglement, as well as quantum cryptography (QC), for robotics applications is presented.

Quantum information transmission is a crucial area of research, promising enhanced security and speed compared to classical communication. However, the inherent fragility of quantum states makes direct transmission challenging. This paper explores a novel quantum information transmission protocol based on self-organizing networks (SONs). We propose a system where entangled particles are distributed across a SON, facilitating instantaneous correlation and enabling high-bandwidth, low-latency communication. The core mechanism leverages the unique properties of SONs to optimize quantum state propagation. We detail the design of the protocol, including the formation of the SON, the quantum state distribution within it, and the protocols for error correction and entanglement management. The potential benefits of this approach include enhanced security and increased transmission efficiency through the exploitation of self-organizing network properties. The study investigates the theoretical feasibility and practical implementation challenges, ultimately aiming to establish a robust and scalable quantum information transfer framework.

Routing Protocol Research for Wireless Quantum Networks based on Resource Reservation

Xinliang Wang

In wireless quantum communication networks, existing AODV routing protocols can guarantee the stability of quantum entangled channels. However, the protocol takes a long time to establish the quantum channel on average, and it also consumes many entanglement resources. In order to solve the above problems, a routing protocol for wireless quantum networks based on resource reservation is proposed in this paper. Before the source node sends the quantum state information to the destination node, the proposed protocol estimates the quantum state information to be transmitted and writes the resource estimation value into the routing request message.A broadcast routing request message can not only satisfy the requirement of quantum data transmission, but also ensure that the number of hops is as small as possible.Simulation results show that the proposed protocol can effectively shorten the time of establishing quantum channels, reduce the consumption of entanglement resources, and improve the communication efficiency of wireless quantum communication networks. It has good practical value.

Information security through controlled quantum teleportation networks

Hala Hamdoun, Alaa Sagheer

Information security is the backbone of current intelligent systems, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), smart grids, and Machine-to-Machine(M2M) communication. The increasing threat of information security requires new models to ensure the safe transmission of information through such systems. Recently, quantum systems have drawn much attention since they are expected to have a significant impact on the research in information security. This paper proposes a quantum teleportation scheme based on controlled multi-users to ensure the secure information transmission among users. Quantum teleportation is an original key element in a variety of quantum information tasks as well as quantum-based technologies, which plays a pivotal role in the current progress of quantum computing and communication. In the proposed scheme, the sender transmits the information to the receiver under the control of a third user or controller. Here, we show that the efficiency of the proposed scheme depends on the properties of the transmission channel and the honesty of the controller. Compared with various teleportation scheme presented recently in the literature, the most important difference in the proposed scheme is the possibility of suspicion about the honesty of the controller and, consequently, taking proper precautions.
