Continuous-variable quantum teleportation of even and odd coherent states through varied gain channels

This paper has investigated quantum teleportation of even and odd coherent states in terms of the EPR entanglement states for continuous variables. It discusses the relationship between the fidelity and the entanglement of EPR states, which is characterized by the degree of squeezing and the gain of classical channels. It shows that the quality of teleporting quantum states also depends on the characteristics of the states themselves. The properties of teleporting even and odd coherent states at different intensities are investigated. The difference of teleporting two such kinds of quantum states are analysed based on the quantum distance function.

Improving the fidelity of continuous—variable quantum teleportation by tuning displacement gain

刘金明, 李剑, 郭光灿

The fidelity of teleportation of continuous quantum variables can be improved by tuning the local displace-ment gain. We investigate the optimization of the fidelity for the teleportation of Schrodinger cat states, and of coherent states. It is found that the gain corresponding to the maximum fidelity is not equal to onefor the two input states in the case of the small squeezing degree of the entanglement resource, while unitydisplacement gain is the best choice for teleporting arbitrary quantum states in the case of large squeezing.

Optimizing the fidelity of continuous-variable quantum teleportation

Yun‐Jie Xia

Based on the fidelity conclusions of employing two-mode squeezed vacuum state for the entangled channel to teleport coherent state, continuous-variable quantum teleportation employing bright two-mode squeezed state for the entangled channel was studied. The results indicate that it's fidelity can be further improved by choosing appropriate parameters, in addition, we can fulfill that fidelity is 1, that is, not anamorphic quantum teleportation of coherent state under particular conditions.

The dependence of fidelity on the squeezing parameter in teleportation of the squeezed coherent states

Jingtao Zhang, Guangqiang He, Li-Jie Ren +1 more

This paper investigates an analytical expression of teleportation fidelity in the teleportation scheme of a single mode of electromagnetic field. The fidelity between the original squeezed coherent state and the teleported one is expressed in terms of the squeezing parameter r and the quantum channel parameter (two-mode squeezed state) p . The results of analysis show that the fidelity increases with the increase of the quantum channel parameter p , while the fidelity decreases with the increase of the squeezing parameter r of the squeezed state. Thus the coherent state ( r = 0) is the best quantum signal for continuous variable quantum teleportation once the quantum channel is built.

Quantum teleportation of light beams

We experimentally demonstrate quantum teleportation for continuous variables using squeezed-state entanglement. The teleportation fidelity for a real experimental system is calculated explicitly, including relevant imperfection factors such as propagation losses, detection inefficiencies, and phase fluctuations. The inferred fidelity for input coherent states is $F=0.61\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.02,$ which when corrected for the efficiency of detection by the output observer, gives a fidelity of $0.62.$ By contrast, the projected result based on the independently measured entanglement and efficiencies is $0.69.$ The teleportation protocol is explained in detail, including a discussion on discrepancy between experiment and theory, as well as on the limitations of the current apparatus.

Continuous-variable quantum teleportation of squeezed coherent states

ABSTRACT We propose a setup for teleportation of continuous quantum variables which is optimized for teleportation ofsqueezed coherent states. Our scheme is a modified version of the original setup proposed by Braunstein andKimble [Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 869, 1998] and it involves an unbalanced beam splitter on the sender's side and asingle mode squeezer on receiver's side. We show that the quality of the teleportation can be evaluated by meansof a fidelity of entanglement swapping and we prove that our modified setup and the original Braunstein-Kimblesetup are equivalent with respect to this fidelity measure. Keywords: Quantum teleportation, squeezed states, completely positive maps, fidelity 1. INTRODUCTION Quantum teleportation, a disembodied transfer of a quantum state between two distant parties, is perhaps themost remarkable and exciting development in the rapidly growing field of quantum information processing. Intheir seminal paper, Bennett et al.1 proposed a protocol for teleportation of a single qubit from the sender Aliceto the receiver Bob. The information about the teleported state is sent to Bob via dual classical and quantumEPR channels. The latter is established by a maximally entangled state shared by Alice and Bob.Recently, there has been much interest in quantum information processing with continuous quantum van-ables. Here, the focus is on systems with infinite dimensional Hubert spaces such as quantized electromagneticfield. Teleportation of continuous quantum variables was first considered by Vaidman,2 and an experimentallyfeasible setup was suggested by Braunstein and Kimble.3 Subsequent experiment4 demonstrated that theteleportation of a single mode of optical field is fully within the reach of current technology. Since then, manyauthors discussed various aspects of the teleportation,5'° including fidelity of teleportation of various quantumstates and influence of losses on the degradation of the quantum channel.Besides teleportation, many other protocols developed originally in the framework of discrete quantum van-ables, have been successfully formulated also for continuous variables.
