Abstract

The interaction of the light field with two level atoms possessing dipole dipole interaction is studied. It is shown that a light field at coherent state can produce a squeezed atom laser.

Effect of Virtual Photon Exchange on the Interaction of Light Field with N Atoms

Mai-Lin Liang, Zhao Lin

Under no rotating wave approximation and including the effect of dipole-dipole interaction between the atoms, exact squeezing properties for the output optical field and the atomic field are obtained. It is shown that an atom laser keeping squeezed all the time can be generated, though the input optical field is at the coherent state or vacuum state.

Effect of the Dipole-dipole Interaction on the Pure Two-atom Squeezed State

Z. Ficek

The influence of the dipole-dipole interaction on the final atomic state of a two-atom system driven by a coherent laser field and damped by a broad-band squeezed vacuum is discussed. It is shown that in the absence of a coherent laser field the final atomic state is independent of the dipole-dipole interaction and can be the pure two-atom squeezed state only if detuning of the squeezed vacuum field from atomic resonance is equal to zero. In the presence of a coherent laser field, the final atomic state depends on the dipole-dipole interaction. As the latter increases, the final atomic state shifts from a mixed state to the pure two-atom squeezed state. However, this happens only if the driving field and the squeezed field frequencies are tuned to the atomic transition frequency. For the driving field and the squeezed vacuum field frequencies detuned from atomic resonance the system decays into a mixed state irrespective of the dipole-dipole interaction between the atoms.

Controlling dipole squeezing of entangled atoms via superposition coherent state field

Zhihua Liu

Considering two two-level atoms (A and B) initially in the EPR state, atom B is put into one cavity prepared in coherent superposition state. When atom B flies out of the cavity,an arbitrary state measurement is carried out on it.The law about the effects on the dipole of atoms A exerted by light field intensity and superposition coefficients is obtained, and the result also shows that the dipole squeezing of atoms A can be achieved under certain conditions.

Lihui Zhang

The two-mode field squeezing in the system of SU (2) coherent states interacting with two coupling-atoms are studied. Influences of the total photon number, the partition parameter and the dipole-dipole interaction on the field squeezing are discussed in the paper.

By use of the theory of quantum optics,we have studied the dipole squeezing of a three-level atom interacting with a two-mode coherent field The result show the dipole sqeezing of the three-level atom appears clearly under the interaction of the weak field, the two-mode laser field intensity, the detuning amount and the atom field ecupling constants have a strong effect on the dipole squeezing
