Abstract

By use of the theory of quantum optics,we have studied the dipole squeezing of a three-level atom interacting with a two-mode coherent field The result show the dipole sqeezing of the three-level atom appears clearly under the interaction of the weak field, the two-mode laser field intensity, the detuning amount and the atom field ecupling constants have a strong effect on the dipole squeezing

The atomic dipole amplitude-squared squeezing effects of a Ξ-type three-level atom interacting with two-mode entangled coherent states are investigated. The effects of the degree of entanglement of the two-mode entangled coherent states, the ground state probability amplitude of the atomic initial state, the detuning, the mean photon number and the atom-field coupling constant on the atomic dipole amplitude-squared squeezing are analyzed. The results indicate that the light squeezing effects depend on the degree of entanglement of the two-mode entangled coherent optical fields, the detuning, the mean photon numbers, the atom-field coupling constant and the atomic initial state.

Dipole Squeezing Effects of a A-type Three-level Atom Interacting with a Two-mode Coherent Field in a Kerr-like Medium

Lihui Zhang

The dipole squeezing effects of a A-type three-level atom interacting with a two-mode coherent field are investigated. Through the numerical calculations, the influences of the Kerr effect and the one-photon frequency detuning on the atomic dipole squeezing are also discussed. It is shown that the atomic dipole squeezing reduces up to disappearence and that the time of the squeezing becomes short with increasing the Kerr effect, but that the atomic dipole squeezing raises and that the time of the squeezing becomes long with increasing the one-photon frequency detuning .

The dipole squeezing effects of a three level cascade atom interacting with a correlated two-mode squeezed vacuum field are investigated. We study atomic dipole squeezing of the system comprising three two-level atoms resonantly interacting with three coupled cavities which are in weak coherent states initially. The atomic dipole squeezing is investigated. The influences of coupling constant between cavities and intensity of the cavity field on atomic dipole squeezing are discussed. The results obtained using the numerical method show that atomic dipole squeezing is weakened with the increase of the coupling constant between the cavities. On the other hand, atomic dipole squeezing is strengthened with increase of intensity of the cavity field.

Atomic dipole squeezing of the degenerate quantum-beat three-level atom with intensity-dependent coupling

Wang Qi-fang

The atomic dipole squeezing is a very important phenomenon in the interaction between an atom and an optical field, but the atomic dipole squeezing of a three-level atom with an intensity-dependent coupling is seldom reported. By using a full quantum theory, We investigate the time-evolution properties of the atomic dipole squeezing of the degenerate quantum-beat three-level atom intensity-dependently interacting with a single-mode coherent field, and explore effects of splitting of the lower energy levels of the atom, the field intensity and the initial atomic coherence on the atomic dipole squeezing. Our results show that, when the two lower levels of the atom is degenerate, dipole squeezing parameters evolve periodically with time, and the splitting of the lower levels destroy this periodicity and reduce the amount of dipole squeezing. The relationship between the amount of dipole squeezing and the initial coherent field intensity is not monotonous. The initial atomic coherence has a great influence on the dipole squeezing.
