Abstract

In this paper we study the entropy of a two-level atom driven by a detuned monochromatic laser field and damped by a squeezed vacuum. We obtain an exactly analytic solution of the model, by means of which we identify and numerically demonstrate the region of parameters where significantly large entanglement can be obtained. Also, the marginal distribution of the atomic Wehrl density is studied.

Dynamical Properties of Scaled Atomic Wehrl Entropy of Multiphoton JCM in the Presence of Atomic Damping

S. Abdel‐Khalek, Mohammed Almalki, E. Edfawy

We study the dynamics of the atomic inversion, scaled atomic Wehrl entropy, and marginal atomicQ-function for a single two-level atom interacting with a one-mode cavity field taking in the presence of atomic damping. We obtain the exact solution of the master equation in the interaction picture using specific initial conditions. We examine the effects of atomic damping parameter and number of multiphoton transition on the scaled atomic Wehrl entropy, atomicQ-function, and their marginal distribution. We observe an interesting monotonic relation between the different physical quantities in the case of different values of the number of photon transition during the time evolution.

The influence of phase damping on a two-level atom in the presence of the classical laser field

M. Sebawe Abdalla, A.‐S. F. Obada, Eied Mahmoud Khalil +1 more

In this paper we consider the influence of phase damping on the Jaynes?Cummings model (JCM) in the presence of the classical laser field. It is shown that for the temporal evolution of the atomic inversion a detuning parameter plays a role in delaying the effect of the damping. Our consideration is also extended to discuss the atomic Wehrl entropy and entropy squeezing. For the case of the marginal distribution, it is noted that the damping factor plays a considerable role in reducing the number of the fluctuations in the function behavior. On the other hand the damping factor removes the phenomenon of squeezing from both quadratures of the entropy squeezing.

Two-level atom in a squeezed vacuum with finite bandwidth

R. Tanaś, Z. Ficek, Azeddine Messikh +1 more

The resonance fluorescence of a two-level atom driven by a coherent laser field and damped by a finite bandwidth squeezed vacuum is analysed. We extend the Yeoman and Barnett technique to a non-zero detuning of the driving field from the atomic resonance and discuss the role of squeezing bandwidth and the detuning in the level shifts, widths and intensities of the spectral lines. The approach is valid for arbitrary values of the Rabi frequency and detuning but for the squeezing bandwidths larger than the natural line-width in order to satisfy the Markoff approximation. The narrowing of the spectral lines is interpreted in terms of the quadrature-noise spectrum. We find that, depending on the Rabi frequency, detuning and the squeezing phase, different factors contribute to the line narrowing. For a strong resonant driving field there is no squeezing in the emitted field and the fluorescence spectrum exactly reveals the noise spectrum. In this case the narrowing of the spectral lines arises from the noise reduction in the input squeezed vacuum. For a weak or detuned driving field the fluorescence exhibits a large squeezing and, as a consequence, the spectral lines have narrowed linewidths. Moreover, the fluorescence spectrum can be asymmetric about the central frequency despite the symmetrical distribution of the noise. The asymmetry arises from the absorption of photons by the squeezed vacuum which reduces the spontaneous emission. For an appropriate choice of the detuning some of the spectral lines can vanish despite that there is no population trapping. Again this process can be interpreted as arising from the absorption of photons by the squeezed vacuum. When the absorption is large it may compensate the spontaneous emission resulting in the vanishing of the fluorescence lines.

In this paper, we study the dynamics of the atomic inversion, scaled atomic Wehrl entropy and marginal atomic Wehrl density for a single two-level atom interacting with SU(1,1) quantum system. We obtain the expectation values of the atomic variables using specific initial conditions. We examine the effects of different parameters on the scaled atomic Wehrl entropy and marginal atomic Wehrl density. We observe an interesting monotonic relation between the different physical quantities for different values of the initial atomic position and detuning parameter.

Entropy and its squeezing in an intensely driven atomic system

M. A. El-Deberky

Atomic entropy and its squeezing are investigated for an intensely driven two-level atom in the presence of a broadband-squeezed vacuum field. Specifically, the effect of the field-dependent atomic decay parameter combined with the initial atomic coherent state is examined in detail.

Two-level atom and quantum system entanglement and squeezing with and without classical field and damping effects

Eied Mahmoud Khalil, S. Abdel‐Khalek, S. Al‐Awfi +1 more

In this article, we study the entropy squeezing and the nonlocal correlation between a nonlinear quantum system initially in the BGS (Barut-Girardello state) and 2LA (two-level atom). The numerical solution is used for solving the differential equations to obtain the density matrix. The relation between the atomic inversion, nonlocal correlation measured by the negativity and entropy are discussed. The effective of classical field and damping on the dynamical properties of the entanglement and entropy squeezing is examined. The results are shown that a high amount of classical field due to the entanglement reached to minimum values. Finally the proposed quantum system being more resistant to the damping effect in the absence of classical field than the presence of classical field.
