Abstract

We investigate a new system of photon-entangled recovery states using a fiber ring resonator incorporating an erbium-doped fiber (EDF). We also show that states of weak entangled photons can be regenerated and recovered after circulating in the amplified fiber optic medium. The output entangled photon states can be regenerated by adjusting the polarization controller of the amplified photons. Results obtained show that such a proposed system can be used to perform the polarization entangled recovery states, and the amplified output gain can be achieved. The amplifying noise is also detected and seen on the spectrum output, which affects the entangled photon output visibility. The change in the system temperature is also investigated, which shows that entangled state walk-off compensation is required to obtain the optimum entangled photon visibility.

The entangled photon regeneration and characterization in a nonlinear fiber ring resonator incorporating an erbium-doped fiber

W. Khunnam, Preecha P. Yupapin

A new scheme of the entangled photon states re-generation the dynamic simulation of light traveling in nonlinear fiber optic ring resonator incorporating an erbium-doped fiber (EDF) has been investigated. We have shown that the weak entangled photon states can be recovered after circulating in the amplified fiber optic medium. The output entangled photon states can be re-generated by adjusting the polarization controller of the amplified photons, where the re-generated entangled states can be controlled and performed. The ring-cavity lifetime is much longer than the Kerr-effect response time of the fiber ring. The results obtained have shown that this system can be used to achieve the recovered polarization entangled states with the obtained high gain. The amplifying noise has also been detected and seen on the spectrum output. This is affected to the entangled photon visibility, which is discussed.

Time-Bin Entangled Photons using an all Fiber Optic MZI Incorporating a Fiber Ring Resonator

Preecha P. Yupapin, S. Suchat, P. Phiphithirankarn

A new technique of an entangled photon pair generation using an all fiber optic scheme is presented. The proposed system is consisted of a fiber optic Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) incorporating with a fiber optic ring resonator. The Kerr nonlinearity effect in the fiber ring resonator is exploited for the generation of two independent squeezed beams. The advantage of such a system is that it requires a simple arrangement without any optical pumping part and bulky optical components. Polarized light pulse trains are launched randomly into a MZI which one part of them is delayed in the longer path. The output pulses from both arms of the MZI are entered into a nonlinear fiber optic ring resonator. Where the superpositions of light pulses in a nonlinear fiber optics ring resonator are randomly occurred which is formed the entangled photon pairs. A polarization controller controls polarization states of light pulses while circulating in the ring resonator. The entangled photons are seen on the avalanche photo-detector, which is shown in good agreement with the previous works.

Quantum information investigation using photons trapped in a fiber optic ring resonator

Poramet Chunpang, Chatchawal Sripakdee, Preecha P. Yupapin

Photons source generated by light pulses tapping in a fiber optic rinvg resonator is presented. Light pulses from OTDR were launched into a single mode fiber optic, which was a form of a ring resonator. All fiber optic components were connected and used to realize the practical in quantum information via fiber optic. Light pulses were trapped in the ring resonator in a period of time, i.e. memor time, before the S/N ratio of the detected signal was not valid. Results obtained have shown that number of pulse/phton trains obtained depend on a fiber optic ring resonator length, input pulse width and gain. In applications, the signal amplifier using inline connection with fiber laser could be used to amaintain the required S/N. The attenuation part could be employed into the system to produce a single photon pulse during the circulation in fiber optic ring resonator. The photon visibility in term of polarization extinction ratio of 10 dB is noted.

Experimental Evaluation of Passive Polarization Compensation Techniques for Fiber-Distributed Polarization-Entangled Photons

Gayatri Thik, Amit Loyal, Srinivasan K +1 more

Entanglement distribution through optical fibers is essential for quantum communication networks; however, fiber transmission can alter photon polarization and modify the observed correlations of polarization-entangled states, necessitating polarization compensation to recover the desired entangled state in the measurement basis. Here, we experimentally evaluate two passive polarization compensation techniques: a free-space Quarter-Half-Quarter (QHQ) waveplate configuration and an in-fiber three-paddle Fiber Polarization Controller (FPC). The polarization transformation along each downconverted-photon path is independently compensated through a systematic path-by-path optimization procedure. Using both techniques, we recover high-quality polarization correlations and entanglement, with visibilities exceeding $93\%$ in three mutually unbiased bases and fidelities above $94.5\%$. The results demonstrate comparable restoration using free-space waveplate-based and fiber-based control, establishing a systematic framework for laboratory and short-reach quantum communication links.

THE ENTANGLED PHOTONS GENERATION SYSTEM USING WEAK LIGHT IN FIBER OPTIC AND TIMING-WALK OFF COMPENSATION

Preecha P. Yupapin, W. Khunnam, S. Suchat

We propose a new system for multi-entangled photons generation using an all fiber optic arrangement. The generation of the entangled states of two, four and eight entangled photons using an all fiber optic scheme is analyzed. The timing-walk off on the entangled state of two and four entangled photons suffering from the polarization in fiber optic is characterized. The compensation of such effects and the optimal entangled states of the entangled photons in fiber optic are analyzed and discussed.
