The q -deformed spin-one DKP oscillator in 1 + 2 dimensions

YASSINE CHARGUI, A. Dhahbi, Abdelmalek Boumali

Abstract We consider a q -deformed extension of the Duffin–Kemmer–Petiau oscillator (DKPO) for spin-one bosons in two spatial dimensions. The corresponding problem is easily solved algebraically after realization of the q -deformed algebra in terms of operators of the ordinary Bose algebra. For states associated with the spin-projection numbers ± 1 an equivalent equation in Hamiltonian form is obtained where the Hamiltonian is pseudo-Hermitian, supporting the idea that pseudo-Hermitian models are physically relevant. Then, using the spectral method, we derived the exact expressions for the corresponding metric operator and Hermitian Hamiltonian in closed forms Notably, this Hamiltonian is found to be diagonal, thus implying that the transformation we applied to the pseudo-Hermitian Hamiltonian to work it out is a Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation.

Non-Hermitian Hamiltonians with real and complex eigenvalues in a Lie-algebraic framework

Bijan Kumar Bagchi, C. Quesne

We show that complex Lie algebras (in particular sl(2,C)) provide us with an elegant method for studying the transition from real to complex eigenvalues of a class of non-Hermitian Hamiltonians: complexified Scarf II, generalized Pöschl-Teller, and Morse. The characterizations of these Hamiltonians under the so-called pseudo-Hermiticity are also discussed. PACS: 02.20.Sv; 03.65.Fd; 03.65.Ge

Statistical origin of pseudo-Hermitian supersymmetry and pseudo-Hermitian fermions

Ali Mostafazadeh

We show that the metric operator for a pseudo-supersymmetric Hamiltonian that has at least one negative real eigenvalue is necessarily indefinite. We introduce pseudo-Hermitian fermion (phermion) and abnormal phermion algebras and provide a pair of basic realizations of the algebra of N = 2 pseudo-supersymmetric quantum mechanics in which pseudo-supersymmetry is identified with either a boson-phermion or a boson-abnormal-phermion exchange symmetry. We further establish the physical equivalence (non-equivalence) of phermions (abnormal phermions) with ordinary fermions, describe the underlying Lie algebras and study multi-particle systems of abnormal phermions. The latter provides a certain bosonization of multi-fermion systems.
