Finite Size Formula in the XYZ Spin Chain

Fujii, Yasuhiro, Miki Wadati

The XYZ spin chain with boundaries is studied. We construct the vacuum state by the vertex operators in the level one modules of the elliptic algebra, and compact it through a geometric symmetry of the model called the turning symmetry. From this simplified expression the ``finite size formula'' for magnetizations in the bounded and in the half-infinite chains is deduced. Applying this formula we calculate the spontaneous magnetization in the bounded XYZ model.

Exact solution and thermodynamics of a spin chain with long-range elliptic interactions

Federico Finkel, Artemio González-López

We solve in closed form the simplest (su(1|1)) supersymmetric version of Inozemtsev's elliptic spin chain, as well as its infinite (hyperbolic) counterpart. The solution relies on the equivalence of these models to a system of free spinless fermions and on the exact computation of the Fourier transform of the resulting elliptic hopping amplitude. We also compute the thermodynamic functions of the finite (elliptic) chain and their low temperature limit and show that the energy levels become normally distributed in the thermodynamic limit. Our results indicate that at low temperatures the su(1|1) elliptic chain behaves as a critical XX model and deviates in an essential way from the Haldane–Shastry chain.

Exact physical quantities of the XYZ spin chain in the thermodynamic limit

Zhirong Xin, Junpeng Cao, Wen‐Li Yang +1 more

A bstract The thermodynamic limits of the XYZ spin chain with periodic or twisted boundary conditions are studied. By using the technique of characterizing the eigenvalue of the transfer matrix by the T − Q relation and by the zeros of the associated polynomial, we obtain the constraints of the Bethe roots and the zeros for the eigenvalues. With the help of structure of Bethe roots, we obtain the distribution patterns of zeros. Based on them, the physical quantities such as the surface energy and excitation energy are calculated. We find that both of them depend on the parity of sites number due to the topological long-range Neel order on the Mobius manifold in the spin space. We also check our results with those obtaining by the density matrix renormalization group. The method provided in this paper can be applied to study the thermodynamic properties at the thermal equilibrium state with finite temperature.
