Abstract

In this paper, the quantum properties of an electrically pumped non-degenerate three level laser with two mode subharmonic generator coupled to a two-mode vacuum reservoirs via a single-port mirror whose open cavity contains N non-degenerate three-level cascade atoms is presented. The analysis is carried out by putting the noise operators associated with a vacuum reservoir in normal order. It is found that the photons as well as atoms of the system are strongly entangled at steady state. It has been shown that the degree of photon entanglement greater than that of atom entanglement. Moreover, the presence of the subharmonic generator leads to an increase in the degree of entanglement.

Cv Bipartite Entanglement of Non-Degenerate Three-Level Laser with Squeezed Modes Pumped by Coherent Light

We analyze the CV bipartite entanglement of the light generated by a coheretly pumped non degenerate three-level laser with a two-mode subharmonic generator coupled to a twomode vacuum reservoir via a single-port mirror, whose open cavity contains N non-degenerate three-level cascade atoms. We carry out our analysis by putting the noise operators associated with a vacuum reservoir in normal order. It is found that the photon-state of the system is strongly entangled at steady state where as the atom state of the system is not entangled. We have also shown that as the stimulated decay constant increases, the degree of entanglement increases. In addition, we have established that the photons in the laser cavity are highly correlated and the photon correlation and entanglement increases as the amplitude of the coherent light driving the pump mode increases. Moreover, we have realized that the presence of the subharmonic generator leads to an increase in the degree of entanglement and correlations.

Quantum characteristics of a nondegenerate three-level laser with NDPA pumped by electron bombardment

Aliyyi Adem

This study investigates the entanglement and squeezing characteristics of light generated by a non-degenerate, three-level laser with a non-degenerate parametric amplifier, which is pumped by electron bombardment to the top level and coupled to a two-mode vacuum reservoir through a single-port mirror. By normal ordering the noise operators, we simplified the calculations and derived the evolution equations for the atomic operators using the master equation. From the steady-state solutions, we determined the average of the photon number, the quadrature variance of radiation, entanglement, the normalized second-order correlation of the cavity radiation, and fluctuations in intensity difference. Our findings indicate that higher spontaneous emission rates significantly decrease the average photon number, while the amplitude of the pumping mode interacting with the parametric amplifier ( ɛ ) increases it. Enhanced squeezing is observed with increasing ( ɛ ), reaching a peak at ɛ = 0 . 02 ( 78 . 5 % ) . Moreover, spontaneous emission enhances squeezing for some interval of r a . A direct correlation between quadrature squeezing and entanglement is found, with greater quadrature squeezing associated with increased entanglement. This research offers potential advancements in quantum technologies, such as quantum communication, computing, and sensing, where controlled squeezing and entanglement are crucial for improving performance.

Entanglement formulation in the framework of electrically pumped laser cavity

Solomon Getahun

We analyze electrically pumped atomic cavity coupled to a two-mode vacuum reservoirs via a single-port mirror whose open cavity contains N nondegenerate three-level cascade atoms. We carry out our analysis by putting the noise operators associated with a vacuum reservoir in normal order. It is found that unlike the mean photon number, the quadrature squeezing and the degree of entanglement do not depend on the number of atoms. This implies that the quadrature squeezing and the degree of entanglement of the cavity light do not depend on the number of photons. We have also shown that the light generated by the three-level laser is in a squeezed and entangled state, with maximum quadrature squeezing and degree of entanglement being 50%. Moreover, the mean photon number of the system in which the laser operating at threshold and above threshold does not depend on the spontaneous decay constant.

Generation of Entangled Light from a Nondegenerate Three-Level Laser Coupled to a Two-Mode Vacuum Reservoir

Tamirat Abebe, Chimdessa Gashu Feyisa

The quantum properties of a nondegenerate three-level cascade laser coupled to a two-mode vacuum reservoir are throughly analyzed with the use of the pertinent master equation and stochastic differential equations associated with the normal ordering. Particularly, the enhancement of squeezing and the amplification of photon entanglement of the two-mode cavity light are investigated. It is found that the two cavity modes are strongly entangled, and the degree of entanglement is directly related to the two-mode squeezing. Moreover, the squeezing and entanglement of the cavity radiation enhance with the rate of atomic injection.

Continuous-variable entanglement in a nondegenerate three-level laser with a parametric oscillator

Eyob Alebachew

We consider a nondegenerate three-level cascade laser with a subthreshold nondegenerate parametric oscillator coupled to a vacuum reservoir. Applying the pertinent master equation, we analyze the squeezing and entanglement properties of the two-mode light produced by this quantum optical system inside and outside the cavity. We also determine the normalized second-order correlation function for the two-mode light as well as for individual mode. We find that the light generated by this system is in a two-mode squeezed state and the state of the system is strongly entangled at steady state. Moreover, the presence of the parametric oscillator leads to an increase in the degree of squeezing and entanglement. We also find that the intermode correlation decreases as the injected atomic coherence decreases in the system.

The Quantum Analysis of Nonlinear Optical Parametric Processes with Thermal Reservoirs

Tamirat Abebe, Nebiyu Gemechu, Chimdessa Gashu Feyisa +3 more

In this paper, employing the stochastic differential equations associated with the normal ordering, the quantum properties of a nondegenerate three-level cascade laser with a parametric amplifier and coupled to a two-mode thermal reservoir are thoroughly analyzed. Particularly, the enhancement of squeezing and the amplification of photon entanglement of the two-mode cavity light are investigated. It is found that the two cavity modes are strongly entangled and the degree of entanglement is directly related to the two-mode squeezing. Despite the fact that the entanglement and squeezing decrease with the increment of the mean photon number of the thermal reservoir, strong amount of these nonclassical properties can be generated for a considerable amount of thermal noise with the help of the nonlinear crystal introduced into the laser cavity. Moreover, the squeezing and entanglement of the cavity radiation enhance with the rate of atomic injection.
