Abstract

This paper investigates the enhancement of fault tolerance in distributed systems by leveraging quantum error correction codes. The core claim is that incorporating quantum error correction codes significantly improves the resilience of distributed systems operating in noisy environments. The proposed mechanism involves deploying quantum error correction codes among the nodes of a distributed system, enabling the detection and correction of errors affecting individual quantum bits. Unlike traditional redundancy-based approaches, this method offers a more efficient and resource-conscious strategy for achieving fault tolerance. We explore the theoretical framework and potential benefits of this approach, focusing on the key aspects of quantum error correction code implementation and its impact on distributed system reliability. The system is characterized by its ability to mitigate the detrimental effects of noise, leading to improved data transmission and overall system stability. This work provides a foundational understanding of utilizing quantum error correction codes to address the critical challenges of fault tolerance in distributed systems.
