Before Born: Reciprocal Completion, Finite Return, and the Emergence of Complex Quantum State Geometry

Abstract

Before Born investigates whether elements of finite-dimensional quantum state geometry can be derived from a more primitive pre-probabilistic structure rather than assumed at the outset. The paper develops a formal reconstruction beginning from reciprocal relation, exchange, and achieved return, and examines how familiar quantum-geometric structures may emerge downstream under explicitly stated assumptions. Particular attention is given to the logical status of those assumptions, the distinction between derived structure and physical interpretation, and the relationship of the construction to established quantum-reconstruction programmes. The work forms an antecedent companion to The Geometrical Derivation of Born’s Rule, moving the explanatory starting point further back while remaining deliberately separate from questions of measurement outcome, event realization, and empirical frequency. The archive contains the manuscript, source, numerical validation script, and validation README. The computational validator is a consistency audit of the analytic construction and hostile controls; it does not replace the proofs. This restricted deposit establishes the timestamp and provenance of the work prior to public release. From Constraint to Quantum Branching: A Physical Reciprocal-Asymmetry Bridge to Born Probability

Eric Needham

This record contains a frozen ENSO Framework manuscript examining the relationship between physical constraint, quantum branching, and the structure of Born probability. Using a controlled angular-momentum-resolved quantum system, the paper develops a physical bridge between independently specified constraints and a previously established closure-based representation of normalized outcome structure. Particular attention is given to the distinction between the structure that determines relative outcome weights and the separate temporal scale governing their physical incidence. The work is intended as a foundational and methodological contribution rather than a claim of a new numerical deviation from standard quantum mechanics. The archive includes the manuscript, source material, symbolic validation, validation report, provenance record, and reproducibility documentation. The detailed mathematical construction and derivation are contained only within the archived manuscript and accompanying validation materials. The Complete Geometrical Derivation of Born's Rule

Eric Needham

The Complete Geometrical Derivation of Born’s Rule develops a geometrical derivation of the finite-dimensional Born weight law, The term complete geometrical derivation is used in a defined sense: the construction accounts for conjugation, orthogonal amplitudes, the half-angle structure, quadratic weighting, normalization, and the finite-dimensional projector weight law without independently inserting a probability exponent or binary probability parameter. It does not claim to derive measurement-basis selection, individual event occurrence, event-realization dynamics, or the equality of empirical terminal frequencies with the derived weights without an additional realization mechanism. A companion Python validation ledger checks 21 algebraic and numerical consequences of the construction, including reciprocal closure, conjugation, chord geometry, the half-angle law, the reciprocal-ratio weight map, golden-ratio calibration, Bloch-meridian consistency, and random finite-dimensional projector tests. The Measure of Dynamic Unity: Counter-Spiral Closure, Projective Geometry, and the Repeated Selection of the Born Quadratic

Eric Needham

This paper develops a geometric and structural account of quantum probability from a broader investigation of reciprocity, symmetry, closure, and unity. It examines an unexpected convergence between a counter-spiral construction developed within the ENSO framework and established structures in quantum geometry, while carefully separating original dependency arguments from classical mathematical results and physical interpretation. The paper is accompanied by a reproducibility script and README that audit the principal symbolic identities and structural correspondences. Amplitude Before Probability: Atemporality and the Born Rule

Eric Needham

This paper develops a foundational analysis of the relation between quantum amplitudes, Born probability, and temporality within the ENSO framework. It examines whether the mathematical structure associated with amplitude can be placed prior to probability assignment in the order of explanation, and considers the consequences of that ordering for the status of temporal process in quantum theory. The paper extends earlier ENSO work on relational closure, atemporal instantiation, and the distinction between structural constitution and temporal readout. It is intended as a companion to Before Born, The Geometrical Derivation of Born’s Rule, From Closure to Observation, and Production as Closure, Not Process. The claims are restricted to the declared finite-dimensional closure architecture and are presented with explicit scope and refusal conditions. Quantum Mechanics from Constraint and Closure: A Structural Explanation and Derivational Roadmap

Eric Needham

Quantum Mechanics from Constraint and Closure: A Structural Explanation and Derivational Roadmap assembles a sequence of ENSO quantum-foundations results into a single explanatory architecture. The paper asks why central structures of quantum mechanics—complex phase, conjugation, quadratic norm, Schrödinger dynamics, spinorial return, Born weighting, and measurement—belong together rather than appearing as an unrelated collection of formal ingredients. The proposed route begins with constraint-bearing distinction and minimal maintained recursion. Within an explicit primitive two-state class, recursive minimality selects the Fibonacci structure and its Perron root ϕ. Exchange completion (symmersion) derives a reciprocal pair, continuity and composability lift that pair to reciprocal flow, and bounded return selects a rotational generator satisfying J2=−I. Constraint-bearing eigenmodes then become phase-readable in Schrödinger form once ℏ supplies the action scale. Reciprocal product and exchange map exactly to quadratic norm and complex conjugation; Euclidean orthogonal composition fixes squared weight; repeatability leads to orthogonal projection; and intrinsic closure supplies the framework for event readability. A new canonical result provides an independent convergence. For a real symplectic system containing a genuinely non-real, non-unit scale-phase eigenmode, reality and symplectic reciprocity force the spectral orbit λ, λ̄, λ⁻¹, λ̄⁻¹ Such a mode is impossible in real symplectic dimension two; four dimensions are minimal. The resulting reciprocal-conjugate quartet contains exactly the reciprocal pairings used in the earlier closure geometry. The accompanying reproducibility archive contains the manuscript source, direct construction validator, adversarial null-test suite, captured outputs, machine-readable results, near-symplectic perturbation diagnostics, exact symbolic audit, validation-run provenance note, and package checksums. All twelve declared null tests pass in both recorded executions. The paper distinguishes completed mathematics, structural derivation, exact representation, and the remaining roadmap toward a fully native reconstruction of quantum theory. Intrinsic Closure and the Reconstruction of Quantum Structure: Reciprocal Geometry, Exact Qubit Events, Quadratic Unity, and the Open Route to Quantum Correlations

Eric Needham

This paper presents a self-contained synthesis of the intrinsic-closure programme in quantum foundations, tracing its development from reciprocal counter-spiral geometry and circular compactification to exact representations of quantum phase, deterministic qubit events, quadratic unity, and a conditional route to quantum correlations. The framework begins with opposed reciprocal branches whose product is invariant and whose geometric mean forms a circle. This geometry provides a real precursor of complex phase, conjugation, and quadratic norm. The Golden Spiral State then gives an exact reciprocal representation of the scalar quantum wavefunction, while explicitly distinguishing structures obtained by exact pullback from those not yet derived natively. At the event level, a deterministic closure map reproduces the Born probabilities exactly throughout the full Bloch ball, including pure and mixed qubit states. The paper also proves that the bare deterministic pushforward layer is universal and can represent classical, quantum, signalling, and Popescu–Rohrlich probability tables alike. Nontrivial restriction must therefore arise from the developed geometric, algebraic, effect, and admissibility structure. A strengthened Quadratic Weight Theorem shows that normalization and Euclidean orthogonal additivity alone force the weight law W(a)=a2W(a)=a^2W(a)=a2, with no additional regularity assumption. For composite systems, the paper introduces Marginal Closure Invariance and Joint Effect Consistency and gives a carefully bounded conditional bridge to the quantum correlation set through the theorem of Barnum, Beigi, Boixo, Elliott, and Wehner. Under the stated local-effect and consistency hypotheses, the construction inherits the Tsirelson bound and excludes the PR box. These composite results remain conditional rather than closure-native. The final sections formulate a structured reconstruction programme: native additive structure, real-linear completion, compact phase action, minimal complex extension, globally aligned phase, native superposition, Euclidean composition, inner product, effect structure, composite closure, Joint Effect Consistency, Marginal Closure Invariance, and direct quantum-correlation bounds. Each result is classified as proved, imported, conditional, interpretive, or open. For further information about the ENSO Framework, please contact Eric Needham:ensotheory1@gmail.com
