From Standing Waves in a Cavity to Spacetime Emergence: A Unified Perspective on Quantum Wave-Particle Duality, Complex Phase, and Spacetime Symmetry

Abstract

This paper explores the physical essence of quantum wave nature and its fundamental connection to spacetime symmetries. Beginning with a comparative analysis of standing waves in a ring cavity versus classical thermodynamic diffusion, we systematically decon- struct mechanical intuitions regarding ”waviness.” Through rigorous symmetry analysis and logical deduction, we demonstrate that given only energy/momentum conservation (space- time translation symmetry) and propagation at the speed of light c, classical real-valued probability is insufficient to yield wave behavior. Quantum wave-particle duality is fun- damentally the geometric manifestation of a complex probability amplitude (unitary probability conservation) evolving under spacetime translation symmetry. Finally, we extend this binary interaction to modern theoretical physics, articulating a unified pic- ture where spacetime itself emerges from quantum entanglement, serving as the physical embodiment of energy and momentum. This work provides a self-consistent pedagogical and exploratory framework for understanding foundational quantum concepts. An Ontological Interpretation of Photon Wave-Particle Duality via Complex-Space Trajectories

Shiang-Yi Han, Ciann-Dong Yang

Wave particle duality remains a central interpretational challenge in quantum theory. In this work, we develop a trajectory-based description of photon dynamics formulated in an extended complex space within the relativistic quantum Hamilton Jacobi framework. In this approach, photon motion is represented by complex trajectories whose real projections describe propagation, while imaginary components encode oscillatory structure. We show that momentum eigenstates correspond to straight line trajectories with uniform propagation at the speed of light, whereas superposition states lead to nontrivial quantum potentials and oscillatory motion in the complex plane. Extending the analysis to complex two dimensional space reveals richer dynamical behavior, including propagating wave like trajectories and standing wave like patterns in real projections. Energy momentum consistency is verified through an internal coherence analysis based on projected standing wave wavelengths. Rather than introducing new dynamical laws or additional physical dimensions, the complex space is employed as an interpretational framework that renders wave like and particle like aspects as complementary projections of a single underlying motion. The results suggest a unified geometric perspective on wave particle duality, while remaining fully compatible with standard quantum mechanics.

Energy Space and Quantum Geometry: A Framework for Emergent Physical Reality

Sanjeev Gupta

Abstract This work presents a unified geometric framework for quantum reality through four interconnected papers. It proposes that the coherent, non-separable correlations described by Hilbert space originate from an unobservable Energy Space, a fundamental substrate beyond spacetime that preserves perfect coherence and all conservation laws, thereby providing a geometric interpretation of quantum entanglement. Within this framework, the relation E = hf is interpreted as an encoding relation rather than a statement of physical energy actualization. During measurement, structural branching may occur, but Energy Space ensures that only one geometrically valid branch undergoes physical localization. Spacetime emerges from Energy Space as a passive geometric medium with intrinsic dynamic capabilities, giving rise to quantum objects and their interactions. Quantum objects are interpreted as dynamic geometric patterns of spacetime possessing an encoded geometric identity. Their physical properties, including mass, charge, spin, momentum, energy, wavelength, and phase, are fundamentally encoded in Energy Space and become physically actualized according to the interaction context and the degree of coherence or decoherence. The stability, transformation, and propagation of quantum objects are determined by their geometric compatibility with spacetime and with other quantum geometries. Electromagnetic, weak, and strong interactions are interpreted as direct interactions between compatible quantum-object geometries, whereas gravity is regarded as an indirect geometric interaction mediated through spacetime geometry. Geometric interactions may produce superposition, transformation into new quantum-object geometries, or the formation of larger composite geometric structures, providing a unified geometric interpretation of interactions, confinement, and composite systems. Within this geometric framework, a recursive geometric scaling parameter satisfying the invariant relation is proposed. Based on this hierarchy, phenomenological recursive scaling relations are developed for the lepton and quark families, suggesting a possible underlying geometric structure governing fermion masses, generational hierarchy, and relative stability. Finally, the Peak-Coupling Theory proposes that quantum localization and decoherence occur through discrete peak-coupling events between interacting quantum geometries at oscillatory extrema within a quantum wave packet. The wave envelope and phase continuously modulate the distribution of possible coupling events, while observable interaction probabilities may emerge from the squared magnitude of local coupling amplitudes, providing a possible geometric route toward the emergence of Born-rule probabilities Together, these four papers present a unified conceptual framework in which Energy Space, spacetime, quantum objects, physical interactions, particle hierarchies, quantum measurement, and localization are interpreted as interconnected manifestations of an underlying geometric reality. These ideas are developed across four papers: Paper 1: Energy Space and Geometric Nature of Quantum Objects and SpacetimePaper 2: Quantum GeometryPaper 3: Lepton and Quark Generational Phenomenological Patterns; and Paper 4: Peak-Coupling Theory of Quantum Interaction

Quantum Mechanics Foundation in Dual 4-Dimensional Space-Time —Space-Time Origins of Quantum Probability

Guoqiu Zhao

This book “Foundation of quantum mechanics in Dual 4-dimension space-time——The spacetime origin of quantum probability,” is a new exploration discussing the physical foundations of quantum mechanics. It contains two parts. One is the interactive realism, the other is the quantum mechanical description of the dual-4 dimensional spacetime. The first one is the philosophical basis of the second. The author thought that the conventional mass-point model is no long proper for the microscopic quantum world. The author used the movement of the rotating matter wave sphere in complex space to deduce the de Broglie matter-wave formula, and pulled the metaphysical hypothesis of the wave function back into the real physical realism. A matte wave is the physical wave, and it has potential applications. The matter wave transfers in the dual-4 dimensional complex space-time, and the complex number enters the cognition domain of space-time intrinsically. The author pointed out that, the state of a moving microscopic object is the combination of its eigen-states from quantum slicing, coherent hence; after quantum measurement, projected into the real 4-dimensional space-time and showing a probability distribution of point particles. Before and after the quantum measurement, the object is not in the same cognition level, nor the same physical space-time, and the Hilbert space is just their common math application space. The quantum measurement induces the transition of the microscopic object in space-time, manifestation, physical model, and theoretical structure, and the quantum probability comes from the space distribution of the field matter sphere, representing the transition from dual-4 complex to real 4-dimensional space-time, and the sphere to the point model. Physical phenomena, phenomenal entity, physical space-time, physical model, and theoretical structure all must consist intrinsically in logic. These are changing with the change of human cognition, embodying the unity of the human being and the nature. Dual-4 dimensional space-time quantum mechanics gives the wave function the physical realism. So, the concepts of the quantum entanglement, quantum communication and quantum teleportation all may be clarified and understood physically. The book is self-consistent with detailed justification, wherein the interactive realism concept is a new innovation.

The Origin of Matter Waves and the Resolution of Wave-Particle Duality - A First-Principles Derivation of Matter Wave Dynamics within the Time Field Theory (TFT) Framework

Huowang Huang

Why does matter possess wave-like properties? Is wave-particle duality an inherent dual nature of matter, or merely a projection of a deeper underlying physical structure under two distinct observational perspectives? This paper presents a rigorous first-principles derivation of matter wave dynamics within the axiomatic framework of Time Field Theory (TFT). The entire derivation relies solely on two core axioms: local intrinsic total velocity conservation and metric self-consistency (flux conservation), without introducing any extra postulates. Following the logical sequence of ontological foundation, phase derivation, wave generation, hierarchical classification, physical correspondence, extreme-case verification, and unified spectrum construction, this paper first establishes the core ontological premise that matter corresponds to localized condensed states of the time field. It then derives the geometric structure of the existence phase angle on the unit circle of the complex plane from the velocity conservation axiom, revealing the fundamental origin of intrinsic material phases. On this basis, the de Broglie relations are strictly derived, eliminating the dualistic contradiction between particle and wave characteristics. This work further distinguishes two distinct wave regimes: intrinsic waves originating from phase evolution within condensed states, and apparent waves arising from the global spatial translation of field distributions, which are respectively mapped onto electromagnetic waves and gravitational waves as two classes of physical reality. Using black hole horizons as an extreme physical testbed, we demonstrate that intrinsic wave phenomena vanish completely at time-freezing surfaces while apparent wave behaviors remain intact, providing a unified explanation for the observational fact that black holes emit no light yet produce gravitational waves. We also clarify the ontological origin of black hole darkness: light is not trapped by gravity, but the physical conditions required for photon generation cease to hold at time-freezing surfaces. Finally, we construct a continuous spectrum of wave behaviors ranging from the vacuum ground state to black hole horizons. This paper proves that wave-like behavior is not a binary ”present/absent” attribute of matter, but a continuous function of the condensation strength of the time field. Quantum mechanics and classical mechanics do not describe two separate physical worlds; instead, they represent two limiting regimes of a single universal time field under different condensation levels.

A Geometric Model of Spacetime Emerging from Pure Wave Dynamics: A Theoretical Prototype / 基于纯波动力学的时空涌现几何模型:一个理论原型

YeXuan Chen

This paper proposes a theoretical prototype deriving spacetime structure from pure wave dynamics. Taking the discreteness of spacetime and the ontology of de Broglie waves as its two core axioms, it constructs a self-consistent geometric model. Through the"dragging"picture, the starting point of a probability wave is fixed at the origin and extends in all directions, with the outermost contour of its probability amplitude distribution (the wavefront) subject to the Orthogonality Constraint Principle—no non-zero probability amplitude can touch the Y-axis. The shape of the wavefront is determined by frequency and amplitude; therefore, a wave's Maximum Activity Angle is the diffusion limit of its probability cloud in spacetime, jointly determined by its frequency and amplitude. Among all waves satisfying this constraint, light is identified as a special wave possessing intrinsic locked-ness. This absolute invariance, locked by Planck's constant, is geometrically defined as 90 degrees. Light's 90-degree Activity Angle"opens up"a light-cone, a new reference frame, in spacetime. Within this light-cone framework, the light-speed limit principle, time dilation effect, and the geometric origin of the Lorentz transformation are further derived. This model reveals the geometric unity of classical and quantum mechanics: classical mechanics describes the deterministic boundary of the probability cloud, while quantum mechanics describes the probabilistic behavior within that boundary. The model provides a unified geometric perspective on wave-particle duality, the difficulty of the many-worlds interpretation, and the decoherence problem.
