A post-publication literature survey supplementing the Observer-System Beat conjecture (Concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.20967081). Within the range surveyed, no prior work proposes/tests/observes the same beat + irrational-ratio Weyl-equidistribution mechanism for the emergence of Born statistics. Prior programs sharing the problem-consciousness (La Cour-Williamson; Khrennikov PCSFT; method of arbitrary functions) and adjacent work (Conlon et al. coherent-LO Born test; t Hooft cellular automaton) are organized by possible relation. Atomic-clock metrology is identified as the natural testbed, but the discriminating measurement (single-shot projection statistics as a function of commensurability at fixed relative phase) is, within the range surveyed, not performed. Bilingual (Japanese/English). The logical connection to the preceding paper is left as future work; no claim of mechanism identity or experimental confirmation is made.

CONJECTURE PAPER. The preceding localized-kernel paper derived the FORM of the Born distribution |psi|^2 from the reproducing-kernel property of a constant-amplitude odd-harmonic isolated peak wave S_N, leaving the 'existence of randomness' as an open postulate. Here we conjecture a mechanism for that origin: the scan variable phi0 is not free but the OBSERVER'S phase; since the observer is a physical object of finite frequency with no absolute phase reference (subjective-space premise), the measurement sequence scans the observer-system relative phase (beat/heterodyne) (nu-psi)t, which equidistributes (Weyl) for an irrational ratio. The logic is two-stage. (I) Conditionally proven core: reproducing kernel (proven) gives a deterministic read (pi/2)psi(phi0) at each phi0; granting equidistribution (assumption O1), the position-resolved intensity-profile SHAPE = |psi_base|^2. Role separation: Weyl supplies only a uniform measure (no bias); the |psi|^2 weight is the deterministic kernel read; the intensity->single-click step is the bridge. (II) Conjectured bridge (intensity -> single-click probability via threshold detection, lineage A), NOT derived. Both input cases (localized vs spread) are derived from the same kernel (output difference = input difference only), with a falsification battery that all four consistency conditions pass. The conjecture sits at the intersection of Khrennikov's PCSFT + threshold detection and the method of arbitrary functions (Poincare-Feintzeig), with a falsifiable finite-N (O(1/N)~l/R) Born-rule deviation. Verification code reproduces the numerical claims to machine precision. Not a derivation of the Born rule nor a solution of the measurement problem.
WF-S Causal Chain: Logical Roadmap and Audit Trail for the Five-Paper Programme. This document serves as the navigation index for the Wave Favouritism-Substrate (WF-S) programme. It maps the complete logical spine from the founding question — what physically is a measurement? — through to the numerical predictions of particle physics, with every step carrying an explicit epistemic label ([Derived]/[Conditional]/[Open]). The Causal Chain allows a reader to trace any result back to its foundations across the five papers: Paper I: The Born Rule as the Entropy-Uniform Limit of Record Formation — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19148893 Paper II: Force Mediation, Mass Generation, and Generation Structure from the LTrion Portal — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19511248 Paper III: Emergent Einstein Gravity from LTrion Record Statistics — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19511361 Paper IV: Cosmogenesis, Dark Matter, and Vacuum Energy from the Fisher Manifold — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19511486 Paper V: The Statistical Manifold of Irreversible Records — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19511630 As of v16 (April 2026), the logical spine is complete within stated regimes: every step from the founding question to the CCR, Born rule, Schrödinger equation, Einstein equations, Koide relation, and derivation of ε is [Derived] with no conditional steps remaining in the main chain. Remaining open problems — the lepton phase angle and full nonlinear Einstein equations — are extensions of derived results, not gaps. Kill conditions and falsifiable predictions are listed explicitly, with the Belle II tau mass measurement (mτ to < 0.01 MeV precision) as the primary empirical test. The central claim of the programme is that probability is not fundamental but emergent — that the Born rule is not an axiom but a consequence of what it physically means to form an irreversible record. This programme began with a single question: "what is measurement, really?". What follows is a personal learning journey — an attempt to look at the paradoxes physics has accumulated over the last century through a different lens. The mathematics is offered in good faith. The errors are the author's own, and remain his best opportunities to learn.
Programme status: This record belongs to an active research programme. It is not a finished or final theory. The framework is currently undergoing a systematic audit, together with corrections and improvements prompted by reader feedback. Several significant issues have been identified, and some claims, derivations and interpretations in the current version may be revised, qualified or withdrawn in future versions. Revised versions will be released when this work is complete. See PROGRAM_STATUS.md. Status as of October 2026. We apply 't Hooft's cellular automaton interpretation of quantum mechanics to the GTE cellular automaton f_MDL on Z_7^5, the 16,807-state visible-sector ring encoding the Standard Model generation structure. The complete orbit decomposition of f_MDL () reveals a single cycle: the vacuum fixed point (0,0,0,0,0) with E=0. The physical Hilbert space is one-dimensional; f_MDL belongs to 't Hooft's information-loss regime. SM generation states are transients with tail lengths (gen_1)=3 > (gen_2)=2 > (gen_3)=1, matching the empirical stability hierarchy (). A direct eigenvalue-to-mass correspondence is falsified on every formulation tested (). The Two-Role Structural Principle () separates roles: the cogwheel construction provides Hilbert space structure, unitarity, and the Born rule (, Lean-certified); the GTE N_eff cascade provides the mass spectrum. The seven winding-equivalence classes of Z_7^5 (, gauge\_arithmetic\_identification) are identified as 't Hooft's information-equivalence gauge classes (): the five SM winding sectors \0,2,3,4,6\ yield U(1)_EM, SU(2)_L, and SU(3)_c; sector W=1 predicts the SU(5) Y-leptoquark; the X-leptoquark (Q=+4/3) cohabits W=4. The AFCA causal graph is update-schedule-independent (Lean-certified); discrete Minkowski causal cones are embedded with coordinate surjection certified. Full Minkowski bijection remains open ().
Note added 10 August 2026: The experimental interpretation in this paper has been superseded. See the revised technical account, Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21868322, which supersedes the Sorkin parameter, second harmonic, detection time estimates, and history bias claims where those exceed what follows from the minimal written dynamics. This record remains available as part of the development history. This paper presents the most complete account to date of the Total Wave Modified Schrödinger Equation (TWMSE), a deterministic framework in which quantum wavefunction collapse arises from interference between a system wavefunction and observer fields associated with the four fundamental interactions, rather than from a probabilistic postulate. The paper is organised in two parts with a formal bridge section. Part I constructs the minimal working model demonstrating well-posed pseudo-Hermitian evolution, collapse via interference thresholds, dynamical emergence of phase ergodicity via Weyl equidistribution and KAM theory, statistical recovery of the Born rule, and a quantified deviation ΔP(x) ~ δ²|Ψ|² bounded to δ ≲ 10⁻². The bridge section introduces the Two-System Falsifiability Argument: two identically prepared two-level systems with different environmental coupling histories must produce different collapse statistics under TWMSE and identical statistics under standard quantum mechanics — the conceptually minimal statement of the theory's falsifiability. Part II derives three concrete experimental signatures: the Sorkin parameter κ ~ δ²/3 from three-slit photon interference; a second harmonic fringe component at 2Δφ in Mach-Zehnder atom interferometry, strictly absent in all linear theories; and ILL-type neutron crystal interferometry. Detection of the second harmonic requires approximately 33 minutes at current cold-atom count rates. The architectural implications of TWMSE for quantum computing are developed in Appendix D of the forthcoming book Quantum Computing Is Stalling: A Way Forward (Larry Lim Kheng Cheong, forthcoming). Here is the link to the book -https://a.co/d/0hQ0I2i0 Note: A US non-provisional patent application (Application No. 19/645,198) covering collapse-based quantum computing architectures derived from this framework was filed on 12 April 2026 prior to this upload.
The apparent nonlocality of quantum mechanics and the EPR paradox arise from a single temporal category error: the Born rule deliberately erases the quantum system’s own proper time τ (Schrödinger’s Clock — the oriented global phase e^{−iEτ/ℏ}) and thereby renders probability space completely atimeless. When Bell tests later timestamp detection events with an external classical experimenter time t_exp and apply a coincidence window, they forcibly substitute one temporal coordinate for another that no longer exists. Null time ≠ zero time. This substitution creates the illusion of instantaneous (zero-time) collapse. In reality the temporal interval is not zero — it is null: the coordinate itself was projected away. Every consistent recording system outside physics — double-entry bookkeeping, temporal databases, GPS — avoids this paradox by maintaining two independent times: transaction/system time τ and posting/coordinate time t_exp. Quantum mechanics is intrinsically bitemporal. The Born rule is the only projection in physics that collapses these two columns into one, manufacturing apparent nonlocality. Retaining the dual-time structure of the amplitude representation restores strict relativistic locality and causality. Most dramatically, devices that preserve quadrature data can perform coincidence-free Bell tests by post-selection alignment of independent measurements using the residual shared phase — demonstrated explicitly in Elliott G. H. (2025), DOI 10.5281/zenodo.17612223. The universally required coincidence window in probability-space Bell tests is therefore the direct experimental proof of this temporal collapse — a classical substitute for the quantum system time that was destroyed. Quantum nonlocality is not fundamental; it is an artefact of single-time bookkeeping applied to a dual-time theory. Papers I and II derived gravitational geometry and second-order dynamics from finite accessibility without invoking measurement, observation protocols, or collapse as primitive notions. This paper extends the operational program to the measurement sector, deriving the structure of record formation and probabilistic weights from the same finite accessibility and compositional constraints. Finite accessibility restricts admissible operations on a subsystem to a proper operator subalgebra. Because bounded certification excludes operators requiring nonlocal coordination or arbitrarily fine phase resolution, the accessible algebra is strictly smaller than the full operator algebra. When a system becomes correlated with orthogonal environment sectors, off-diagonal operators between those sectors fall outside the accessible algebra. The reduced state is therefore indistinguishable, under all admissible operations, from its diagonal ensemble. Definiteness emerges as an algebraic consequence of sector restriction, not as a collapse postulate. The weights of these sectors are fixed uniquely by compositional consistency. Phase invariance, multiplicativity under independent refinement, and stability under record coarse-graining constrain any admissible assignment of sector weights to satisfy a functional equation whose only continuous, non-contextual solution is quadratic in amplitude. The Born rule therefore arises as the unique invariant measure compatible with finite accessibility. Irreversibility follows from action scaling: reversal requires operators outside the admissible tensor algebra and incurs action cost proportional to the number of correlated subsystems. Since admissible operations are bounded by the action gap, macroscopic record reversal is excluded. Measurement introduces no new physical primitives beyond finite accessibility, locality, and compositional stability. Record formation, classical definiteness, and Born probabilities are structural consequences of algebraic restriction under finite accessibility. **This paper is part of the Finite Accessibility series, which reconstructs gravitational geometry, quantum dynamics, gauge structure, cosmological perturbation theory, and the dark sector from a single operational primitive: a finite certification ceiling ω* governing the maximum rate at which physical relations can be maintained across extended domains.** **Introductory papers** - Geometric Limits to Coherent Timekeeping in Extended Reference Frames — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18824556 - Accessibility Selection Law (ASL) — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18824649 - Phase Boundary Gravity — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18824707 **Pillars (numbered I–IV)** - Paper I: Deriving Gravitational Geometry and Schrödinger Dynamics from Finite Accessibility — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18601600 - Paper II: Deriving Inertia, Motion, and Wave Propagation from Finite Accessibility — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18625174 - Paper III: Accessible State Spaces, Record Stability, and the Emergence of Quantum Statistics — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18625192 - Paper IV: Frame Dissolution, the Certification Ceiling, and Observable Deformations — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18654458 **Extension papers** - Dark Matter from Finite Accessibility — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18654433 - Dark Energy from Finite Accessibility — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18654523 - No-Go Theorems and the Admissibility Corridor — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18654493 - Gauge Structure from Finite Accessibility — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18928152 - Perturbation Theory from Finite Accessibility — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18928213 **Experimental paper** - Experimental Probes of Finite Accessibility: GW Dispersion and Vacuum Path Independence — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18931126 **Keywords:** Born rule derivation, measurement problem, quantum statistics, finite accessibility, operator subalgebra, record formation, definiteness emergence, wave function collapse, compositional consistency, accessible state spaces, action gap, irreversibility, sector restriction, quantum foundations, algebraic quantum mechanics, decoherence
