Nonreciprocal Remote Entanglement and Steering in a Driven‐Dissipative Photonic Network

Yaowu Guo, Lianzhen Cao, Jiaqiang Zhao

Abstract A novel scheme is introduced for achieving nonreciprocal remote quantum entanglement and steering within a driven‐dissipative photonic network. By uniquely coupling optical cavity arrays through a unidirectional bath, this approach innovatively generates robust quantum entanglement and asymmetric Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) steering among cavities at varying distances. This setup challenges the conventional characterization of multipartite quantum correlations and offers unprecedented control over quantum entanglement and steering in photonic systems. These key findings demonstrate that, contrary to short‐range entanglement which is enhanced by correlated length but weakened by stronger driving, long‐range entanglement stabilizes independently of coherence length. Additionally, it is uncovered that forward quantum steering is sensitive to correlated length, while reverse steering exhibits uniform spatial evolution, highlighting an inherent asymmetry in steering dynamics. The observed amplification of steering asymmetry with increasing driving amplitude further underscores the uniqueness of this approach. These findings open new avenues for leveraging quantum remote entanglement and steering in driven‐dissipative photonic networks and inspire the development of advanced integrated nonreciprocal quantum devices.

Dissipation-induced nonreciprocal magnon entanglement and one-way steering in waveguide electromagnonics

Rongguang Lü, Huiping Zhan, Deyi Kong +1 more

We propose a scheme to generate nonreciprocal entanglement and one-way steering between two distant ferrimagnetic microspheres in waveguide electromagnonics, where the magnon modes of two yttrium iron garnet (YIG) spheres are simultaneously coupled to each other through coherent and dissipative interactions. By matching the coherent interaction with its corresponding dissipative counterpart, unidirectional coupling between two magnon modes can be realized, and then in the presence of significant Kerr nonlinearities, we can obtain strong entanglement and one-way steering. Depending on the direction of the microwave propagation, the long-distance entanglement and steering can be generated nonreciprocally. Our work presents a novel, to the best of our knowledge, approach for generating nonreciprocal quantum correlations, which may find potential applications in chiral quantum networking.

Entanglement generation and steering implementation in a double-cavity-magnon hybrid system

We demonstrate a scheme for the generation of bipartite and tripartite entanglement, as well as he implementation of stable and controllable long-distance one-way and asymmetric two-way steering in a cavity-magnon hybrid system. This system consists of a magnon mode and two coupled microwave cavities. The first cavity is driven by a flux-driven Josephson parametric amplifier, which generates squeezed vacuum fields, and is coupled to the other cavity through optical tunneling interaction. The second cavity and magnon mode are coupled through magnetic dipole interaction. We find that under weak coupling between the two cavities, and strong coupling between the second cavity and magnon mode, remote controllable one-way steering and tripartite entanglement can be achieved. Our scheme may have potential applications in quantum information.
