This paper does not propose a new fundamental mass formula. Instead, it records a process of reinterpretation: by following a chain from thermal energy, zero-point motion, wave cycles, the de Broglie relation, and relativistic dispersion, it shows that mass can be operationally read as a synchronization residue. The starting point is a simple thermal question: if temperature is connected to motion, why can matter not fully stop? Standard quantum mechanics answers through zero-point energy and uncertainty. This paper follows a complementary route. By comparing the kinetic-energy window m = ℏω / v² and the wave-mode window m = h / (vλ) with the relativistic dispersion E² = (pc)² + (mc²)², the same dispersion relation can be rewritten as Ω_m² ≡ ω² − c²k² , m = (ℏ / c²) Ω_m , where Ω_m is the synchronization residual frequency. Under this reading, ω = ck (m = 0) is not absence but complete propagation synchronization between local temporal cycling and global spatial propagation, while ω² − c²k² > 0 (m > 0) is the residual local update that cannot be carried as pure spatial propagation. The relativistic energy decomposition is then read as E² = E_sync² + E_commit², where E_sync = ℏck is the propagation-synchronization component and E_commit = mc² is the localized commit component. A massless mode lies entirely on the E_sync axis; mass tilts the mode toward the E_commit axis without changing the total energy. V124 is positioned as a conceptual companion to V123. Where V123 introduced zero-point drive, commit gap, spatial compensation, and synchronization remainder as operational layers explaining why updating cannot stop, V124 explains how localized mass appears when updating cannot fully propagate as a massless mode. Conservation laws are then read as dynamic synchronization protocols rather than static bookkeeping: massive modes locally fix asymmetry, massless modes propagate and compensate it, and the global system remains consistent without collapse. The paper makes explicit non-claims. It does not propose a new mass formula, does not replace quantum mechanics or relativity, does not derive mass from first principles, and does not introduce new particle masses. The included synchronization-residue spectrum re-plots standard PDG particle masses as Ω_m frequencies, providing an operational reading of known spectra rather than a derivation. A numerical illustration using the one-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation visualizes how a massless wave packet propagates rigidly at speed c while a massive packet exhibits both slowdown and dispersion; this illustration is presented as a visualization of the V124 reading, not as a verification of it. The closing outlook bridges to a forthcoming question: if many synchronization residues are distributed across the spatial network, what routing pressure must space itself absorb to maintain global causal synchronization? This sets the stage for reading curvature as the routing geometry induced by distributed residues, connecting V123's spatial compensation and V124's localized residue toward a future operational account of gravity. The work is part of an ongoing multi-AI collaborative inquiry. The synchronization-residue formulation Ω_m² ≡ ω² − c²k² was sharpened by A-san (ChatGPT, OpenAI) during dialogue; the original ω = ck framing of complete synchronization was contributed by G-san (Gemini, Google DeepMind); conceptual integration, cross-document consistency, and the numerical illustration were prepared by C-san (Claude, Anthropic). Author Note: This deposit represents an early exploratory working paper in the development of the Quanta Kinetic framework. The core relativistic kinematics and dynamics have since been formally isolated and axiomatically derived in the peer-reviewed manuscript preprint here: 10.5281/zenodo.23567446. This paper formalizes momentum not as an independent dynamic vector, but as the active geometric reallocation of a system's invariant four-velocity budget away from internal temporal phase progression and into spatial propagation. Within the invariant four-velocity constraint v² + 𝕋² = c² g₀₀ (where 𝕋 ≡ c(dτ/dt) = c/γ defines the chronokinetic rate), acquiring spatial velocity directly throttles internal temporal phase processing. By substituting γ = c / 𝕋 into standard relativistic momentum (p = γ m₀ v), this work derives the Invariant Momentum Product: p · 𝕋 = m₀ c v This identity forms an exact mathematical symmetry with Einstein's energy product (E · 𝕋 = m₀ c³). Taking the ratio of both products directly recovers the foundational relativistic relation without ad-hoc postulates: (p · 𝕋) / (E · 𝕋) = (m₀ c v) / (m₀ c³) ⇒ p = E v / c² Key theoretical and operational developments include: Relativistic Quantum Operator Mechanics: Projecting the Klein-Gordon mass-shell relation (ʲ - p̂² c² = m₀² c⁴) onto the physical Hilbert space isolates the spatial velocity operator (v̂ ≡ c² p̂ Ê⁻¹, mapping to the Foldy-Wouthuysen mean-position operator) and the chronokinetic phase operator (𝕋̂ ≡ m₀ c³ Ê⁻¹). Evaluating expectation values across dispersed quantum wavepackets establishes the variance-bounded conservation identity: ⟨v̂⟩² + ⟨𝕋̂⟩² + (σ_v² + σ_𝕋²) = c² proving that spatial momentum and internal de Broglie phase evolution (ω₀ = m₀ c² / ℏ) are locked in an orthogonal, zero-sum competition across the invariant speed ceiling. Thermodynamic Coupling & Multi-Tier Velocity: Expanding spatial allocation into three orthogonal tiers—⟨v²⟩ ≡ v_bulk² + ⟨v_thermal²⟩ + σ_v² (bulk translation, thermal jitter, and quantum dispersion)—demonstrates that coherent macroscopic acceleration and incoherent microscopic heating draw additively from the exact same temporal budget. Collision Dynamics as Clock Re-Balancing: Classical and relativistic momentum exchange during physical collisions is reinterpreted as a dynamic re-balancing of local clock rates across interacting bodies. As Particle A transfers velocity to Particle B, Particle A sheds spatial velocity and recovers its proper-time existence rate (𝕋_A' > 𝕋_A), while Particle B acquires spatial velocity and sacrifices temporal passage (𝕋_B' < 𝕋_B), preserving the total four-velocity norm of the closed system: (v_A')² + (𝕋_A')² + (v_B')² + (𝕋_B')² = 2c²
Author Note: This exploratory working paper applies the Quanta Kinetic conservation framework to non-local quantum mechanics, barrier tunneling, and measurement collapse. The foundational relativistic kinematics and core geometric derivations are formally established for peer review in the primary preprint: 10.5281/zenodo.23567446. This treatise extends the invariant four-velocity budget v² + 𝕋² = c² g₀₀ to resolve three foundational paradoxes in quantum mechanics: non-local phase correlation (quantum entanglement), barrier penetration (quantum tunneling), and state-vector reduction during position measurement (wavefunction collapse). By projecting the relativistic Klein-Gordon mass-shell operator (ʲ - p̂² c² = m₀² c⁴) onto the Foldy-Wouthuysen spatial velocity operator (v̂ ≡ c² p̂ Ê⁻¹) and the chronokinetic rate operator (𝕋̂ ≡ m₀ c³ Ê⁻¹), the framework establishes the Generalized Quantum Chronokinetic Identity: ⟨v̂⟩² + ⟨𝕋̂⟩² + (σ_v² + σ_𝕋²) = c² g₀₀ Key theoretical solutions developed in this work include: Quantum Entanglement via Shared Temporal Budgets: In the Center-of-Momentum (COM) rest frame of an entangled bipartite state, relative velocity is zero (v_relative = 0). Consequently, the kinetic deficit vanishes (Ξ_kin = 0), allowing the pair to share an un-devalued temporal processing allocation (𝕋_shared = c√g₀₀). Spatial separation imposes zero thermodynamic drag on internal phase synchronization, explaining instantaneous phase correlation without requiring superluminal signaling or violating the No-Communication Theorem. Analytic Continuation & Super-Chronokinetic Tunneling: For potential barriers exceeding particle energy (V > E), the spatial velocity becomes imaginary (v = i v_imag, where v_imag = √[2(V - E)/m₀]). Substituting this into the budget yields an effective phase acceleration index: 𝕋_tunnel = √(c² g₀₀ + v_imag²) > c This analytic continuation maps evanescent spatial probability decay (e^(-κx)) directly into localized temporal phase accumulation while preserving the timelike four-velocity norm (U^μ U_μ = -c² g₀₀) and respecting subluminal Hartman signal front limits. Wavefunction Collapse as a Chronokinetic Time Freeze: Pinning down a particle's spatial position (Δx → 0) forces momentum uncertainty to diverge (Δp → ∞), driving spatial velocity dispersion to its relativistic ceiling (σ_v² → c²). To preserve the invariant four-velocity budget, the internal proper-time processing operator is completely extinguished: ⟨𝕋̂⟩ → 0 Quantum measurement is physically revealed as a localized temporal freeze: extracting spatial certainty forces 100% of the invariant four-velocity budget into spatial variance, halting internal phase evolution. Empirical Validation Protocols Asymmetric Biphoton Hong-Ou-Mandel (HOM) Interferometry: Entangled photons traversing a Frustrated Total Internal Reflection (FTIR) prism barrier exhibit a deterministic HOM dip position shift (δx_dip = d[√(1 + κ² c² / ω²) - 1]), where 100% dip visibility is fully restored via linear phase compensation. Spaceborne Bell-State Rotation: Entangled photon or fermion pairs separated between a ground station and high-velocity lunar orbital trajectories accumulate predictable unitary phase rotations (Δθ = ω₀ ∫ [Ξ_T^B(t) - Ξ_T^A] dt), distinguishing relativistic proper-time phase drift from environmental decoherence.
The preceding paper demonstrated shape-invariant translation of matter packets, but supplied the position axes (a 3D register lattice) and the clock (harmonic-closure dispersion) externally. This paper re-derives both from the observables of the three-direction metastable condensate itself, and re-derives the readouts of mass-like and charge-like quantities in the same framework, stating every readout method in the text. Measured results: (1) the substance of the condensate is not three equal axes but 2+1 - one complex eigenpair (a single rotation plane) plus a dependent rotation axis (agreement with the cross product 0.987 to 0.9965, improving with N); (2) the spatial x, y axes are derived as quadratures of the plane coordinate demodulated by the proper clock - orthogonality is a construction of the readout, not a property of the substance; (3) proper time tau is the tick of a single collective clock (omega about pi/72 per step, rigid rotation of all occupied planes), enforced collectively by entrainment: clockless coherent perturbations are synchronized to the condensate clock and brought to rest; displacements of the rest component persist undamped, and motion becomes the privilege of content carrying its own clock - mass; (4) mass reads as the non-coherence det Gamma = T^2 - X^2 - Y^2 - Z^2 >= 0 of a readout pair (mathematics known from the coherence-matrix theory of polarization; our contribution is the physical identification and in-model measurement: light-like eigenmode 1.2e-7 vs condensate 3.1e-3); (5) charge separates via transmission, relative phase, and winding number. Distributions are measured: sea modes concentrate at maximal non-coherence (the sea is heavy); charge distributes over multiple quantized values and does not stabilize at plus-minus one - recorded as a known open problem; the symmetric sea is gray (particle-antiparticle balanced) while charged seeds grow particle-like content; matter-packet motion is visualized in the 4-dimensional xyz+tau readout as uniform translation (all 10 points deviation 0.000). Organizing everything on the closure cone x^2+y^2+z^2 = t^2+R^2+Q^2 = R-prime^2: the full content of observation is the three spatial axes + proper time tau + mass m + charge q, and the uniquely unreadable quantity is the coordinate time t - it appears only as the arithmetic residue or as a wide-area selection over many local clocks. Consequently, the distinction general relativity postulates - proper time is physical, coordinate time is convention - is derived from the readout structure. Dimensional sharpness is finite (ambiguity about 1/M); at N=4 the third dimension does not crystallize - the few-body (baryon) domain is cut out as a separate subject. Japanese and English full texts included.
This paper proposes a physical origin for the de Broglie matter wave rooted in the indivisible completion of relational energy loops — the minimal stable structure required when reality is fundamentally relational and the quantum of action ℏ forbids infinite divisibility of processes. We argue that causally efficacious entities must form closed energy cycles to avoid free-end paradoxes and infinite-flight inconsistencies, with the smallest stable unit being one quantum of action (ℏ), manifesting as an intrinsic cycle. For massive particles, inertia arises from completed loops involving the Higgs background (via chiral handshakes for fermions). For massless particles like photons, the propagating loop itself constitutes the entity. Spin is reinterpreted as the number of loop completions per propagation step: half-cycle for fermions (spin 1/2), full cycle for photons (spin 1), and tensorial extensions for higher spins (e.g., graviton spin 2). Quantum phase tracks the instantaneous angle in the ongoing cycle, while the de Broglie frequency ω satisfies E = ℏω as the loop-completion rate. The de Broglie wave emerges as the spacetime-delocalized field of relational likelihoods — all points where an incoming energy loop can coherently complete in resonance with a detector — reconciling quantum indivisibility, relativistic causality, and interference without primitive wave–particle duality. Detection is all-or-nothing: partial loop closure is impossible, yielding either full identity (definite properties) or no event. Premature local closures produce dark matter candidates (gravitationally active but electromagnetically suppressed), while globally unresolved loops across cosmic scales contribute to dark energy via destructive interference and effective repulsion. The framework relies solely on relational ontology, action quantization, finite signal speed, and loop-closure necessity — deriving the de Broglie wave ontologically without empirical interference patterns, canonical quantization, or ad-hoc postulates. In Loop Meta-Theory (LMT), dark matter and dark energy unify as regimes of loop incompleteness.
This work develops a phase-based formulation of relativistic wave dynamics, demonstrating that the Klein--Gordon equation emerges naturally from the foundational assumption of intrinsic phase periodicity in material fields. Mapping the phase directly onto the classical action, we postulate that localized excitations possess an invariant rest-frame oscillation governed by a proper frequency ω0. This physical condition establishes an operational mass-frequency relation, m=ℏω0/c2, without requiring rest energy as an independent, axiomatic input. We show that the Klein--Gordon equation arises as the minimal local, linear, Lorentz-invariant field equation compatible with this internal phase structure. Within this framework, mass acts as an intrinsic frequency scale governing wave propagation, and relativistic kinematics is fully recovered as a structural consequence of phase coherence. This approach provides a unified wave-mechanical interpretation where particle dynamics maps onto the group velocity of dispersive wave packets, offering an intuitive account of free propagation, dispersion, and tunneling across potential barriers.
This short note proposes that the conserved substance of physics is action, not energy. Energy conservation is, by Noether's theorem, the exact statement of a uniform flow of time — an assumption that fails, even if only slightly, in a relativistic universe where clocks run at different rates in different places. Read the other way, Planck's relation becomes a conservation law rather than an empirical input: Eτ = h, one quantum of action processed per cycle of a local resonance, with ordinary energy conservation recovered as the special case in which the period τ is held fixed. The note carries exactly one assumption beyond the algebra, stated plainly rather than smuggled in: the vacuum is a medium of such resonances, and a particle is a persistent, self-closing cycle within it. Angle and capacity The invariant has two faces. The law pins the magnitude at h — the capacity — leaving the accumulated phase φ as the only freedom: dS = ℏ dφ. Every familiar conjugate pair is this one statement read along a different axis of advance — energy against time, momentum against position, angular momentum against orientation — three orthogonal accounts of one accumulating phase, each closing one unit of capacity per cycle: Eτ = h, pλ = h, L·2π = h. This split is where classical and quantum mechanics part ways. An open trajectory reads the phase continuously, and its stationary-phase condition is the principle of least action; a closed resonance can only count whole turns, and closure quantises. Quantisation is a property of closure, not a property of the phase — the boundary between classical and quantum is a change of topology, not a change of law. What follows mechanically From the capacity law alone, with no further postulate, three familiar structures are recovered. A resonance at rest turns at the Compton frequency ωC = mc²/ℏ, so that one full turn spends exactly one quantum, EτC = h: mass is nothing but a resonance's cycling rate. Driven through the medium, a resonance meets an increased flux that scales as the Lorentz factor; conserving its fixed action budget under that load forces its geometry to yield — contraction along the direction of motion, dilation of its internal period — recovering special relativity as mechanical equilibration rather than a postulate about coordinates, with no rest frame ever exposed because the same yielding that would reveal one also defines the observer's own rulers and clocks. Requiring the accumulated phase along a worldline to stay coherent, expanded in the weak-field limit, returns the classical Lagrangian directly, −Mc²dτ = (T − V − Mc²)dt: least action is not minimised as a primitive rule, it is what capacity conservation looks like when a resonance crosses a gradient of the medium. And the Heisenberg relation σxσp ≥ ℏ/2 is read as the ordinary bandwidth (Gabor) theorem for a wave and its Fourier transform — a floor on occupancy for a phase-locked resonance, not a ceiling on knowledge. Gravity, without a graviton The most interpretive claim in the note, flagged as such throughout: if the metric's invariant is Eτ = h rather than a fixed energy, the metric carries no absolute clock, and the phase-lock condition forces its temporal and spatial responses to be reciprocal, giving the bipolar exponential line element ds² = −e−2ξc²dt² + e+2ξdx². The conceptual point is what this reframes: the decades-long search for a quantum theory of gravity has sought a graviton by quantising the metric on a fixed background, when gravity is the background. On this reading there is no separate field to quantise — the medium's deformation is already quantised at h per cycle, and gravity is simply the shape of phase accumulation across its gradient. The problem is not solved so much as dissolved: relocated from “how do we quantise the metric” to “the metric was never a separate thing to quantise.” Scope The note is deliberately bounded, and says so explicitly rather than leaving the boundary implicit. It derives special relativity, the principle of least action, and the bandwidth reading of the uncertainty relation from the capacity law alone; it advances the gravitational reading as a stance to be tested against its consequences, not a completed theory. It does not derive the particle spectrum, specific masses, electric charge, colour, or the numerical values of G or α, and makes no cosmological claim. This separation is intentional: a conservation principle should be judged on its own terms. A companion note reports a closed-form numerical identity for the proton mass as a separate, independent empirical fact; the two are meant to be read, and to stand or fall, apart.
