Primitive Ontology for META Physics: Substance, Property, and the Categorial Architecture of Physical Discourse

Abstract

Primitive Ontology for META Physics This paper establishes the primitive ontological vocabulary of META Physics (M.E.T.A.: Multi-dimensional Emergence Theory of Actuality). The central claim is that the most primitive categorial pair is substance (that which is) and property (the essential determinacy of a substance). From this pair, five additional layers — relation, mechanism, state, observable, and report — yield a seven-layer architecture that prevents category confusion between ORIGIN-level structure and FACT-level report. Mass is classified as a manifested value, fermions as structured states of primitive substances (with bearers), and bosons as non-substance (without bearers). The paper engages with Bell's beables/observables distinction, the primitive ontology programme (Allori, Maudlin, Esfeld), Aristotle's substance/accident framework, and Quine's ontological criterion. This is a standalone ontological companion to the META Physics preprint series [PP-00] through [PP-09], all of which are available on Zenodo with individual DOIs. Key concepts: Primitive pair (substance + property), seven-layer architecture, non-collapse principle, substance vs non-substance distinction, FACT/ORIGIN separation. 22 pages. 16 references. Zero free parameters throughout the META Physics programme.

Ontological Foundations of META Physics: Substance Primacy, Trichotomy of Physical Quantities, Genesis of Time, Zero-Dimensional Indefiniteness, and the Geometric ORIGIN of the Uncertainty Principle

Cheong-Gwan Lee

This paper (PP-09) establishes the ontological foundations of META Physics (M.E.T.A.: Multi-dimensional Emergence Theory of Actuality) — the philosophical axioms, conceptual classifications, and mathematical structures underlying the framework that derives the ORIGIN of physical phenomena from the uniform rotation of B⁴(R). Key results, all derived with zero free parameters: (I) Primacy of Substance Axiom (PSA): Substance precedes measurement, observation, and relation. Measurability ≠ Being. This axiom opposes relational ontologies. (II) Trichotomy of Physical Quantities: Property (observer-invariant, substance-intrinsic: mass, charge, spin, α, centripetal acceleration) / Attribute (substance-attributed, observer-dependent: energy, momentum) / Relation (frame-only: velocity, position, force). (III) Dimension Emergence: θ = 90° is the unique collision angle preserving radius and closure, producing a 2D disk with constitutive uniform rotation. The ontological leap — substance first possesses a Property (centripetal acceleration) — occurs at two dimensions. (IV) Time as Measurement Concept Dimension (MCD): Time is neither substance nor property but a counting structure generated by projecting intrinsic rotation ω₀ onto a lower-dimensional substratum. The arrow of time originates from ω₀'s fixed directionality. (V) Zero-Dimensional Indefiniteness (不定): Configuration space C_a = N≥1 × Z × [0,1] ≠ Hilbert space. No superposition, no Born rule, no collapse. Stacking number N(a) = Radon-Nikodym derivative dμ/dμ₀. (VI) Uncertainty Principle ORIGIN: Δx·Δp ≥ h/4π expresses viewpoint incompatibility (quantum VP vs continuum VP), with 4π topologically fixed by π₁(SO(3)) = Z₂. (VII) Quaternionic 3+1 Separation: The canonical Re/Im decomposition of quaternion algebra H, combined with DRAIN w-elimination, yields 3 spatial + 1 temporal dimensions. Fractional time (1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 1) originates from the i,j,k isomorphism. (VIII) Conservation Law ORIGINs: Energy conservation traces to the SO(3) automorphism invariance of Im(H). Complete Noether-ORIGIN correspondence table derived. (IX) Complete Gravity ORIGIN Chain: quaternion imaginary axes → fractional time → MCD → stacking-number inhomogeneity N(a) → temporal curvature g₀₀ = −c²/N² → Newtonian gravity. (X) Fractional Charge = Coordinate Membership Ratio: Q = (number of disk's coordinates in (x,y,z)) / dim(WS₃) = 2/3 (Up) or 1/3 (Down). Zero free parameters. 34 established results (ER-1 through ER-34) derived and catalogued. PP-09 is the final installment of the META Physics preprint series (PP-00 through PP-09, 10 papers total). Canon basis: MP-CANON-v2.2. Contribution Statement: Mathematical formalization and documentation by Claude (Anthropic, Claude Opus 4.6). Core insights, physical intuitions, ontological classifications, and the axiom system originate from the author's 30 years of independent research.

Difference as the First Physical Primitive

Sia Tagizade

Canonical preprint manuscript. Paper 1 of 12 in Series A of the Theory of Difference / Information Update Physics (ToD/IUP) Foundational Physics Program. This paper develops a minimal structural account of physical difference as a prerequisite for physical articulation. It does not treat difference as a substance, field, force, metric, bit, measurement act, or consciousness. Instead, it formalizes physical difference through admissible consequence maps, output equivalence relations, induced physical indistinguishability, a difference separator, and the quotient state domain Σ = S/∼C. The main claim is a necessity claim, not a sufficiency claim: non-zero, consequence-surviving difference is required for physical multiplicity, nontrivial update, registration, measurement, quotient-invariant observables, and first-layer physical structure. A zero-difference domain, relative to a specified admissible consequence family, collapses to a singleton quotient and is physically silent at the first layer. This record is released as a canonical preprint manuscript for archival preservation, citation, and scholarly feedback.

Compiled Metaphysics: Structural Realism as a Generative Method, Demonstrated Across Gravity, Quantum Measurement, and Cognition

Cristian Ruvalcaba

Working draft v0.2 (2026-07-20) — not for citation. This paper names and characterizes a method rather than defending a physical theory. The method — compiled metaphysics — treats a structural-realist ontology (reality as self-consistent emergent structure rather than substance) as a generative design-and-derivation principle, and 'compiles' that single ontology into distinct technical domains. Three independent compilations serve as evidence: a spacetime realization in which geometry emerges from an entropic action ('gravity from entropy'); a participatory-structural reading of quantum measurement in which objectivity arises from redundancy rather than substance, sharpened by Bell nonseparability; and a cognitive architecture in which a shared model is a substrate no user owns and each user's context is an owned observer-frame — instantiated in a live sovereign SHI instance (pr0fx) with a sealed constitution, temporal memory decay, and a revocable retirement key. The central claim is strictly methodological: using a structural ontology as a generative principle is real, repeatable, and productive. The three compilations are evidence of the method's generality, not that gravity, quantum mechanics, and AI are physically unified — they are siblings under a worldview, not a unified theory; each stands alone; none validates another. The method's value is generativity and coherence, never truth. Companion to The Observer-Frame (doi:10.5281/zenodo.21461056). AI disclosure. This work was produced with an agentic AI research apparatus operated by Saluca Labs. The apparatus drafted, searched and analysed under direction, and is credited as a contributor. Cristian Ruvalcaba is the human author and is accountable for the content. No AI system is listed as an author, because authorship entails accountability that a model cannot hold.

GTi – Foundational Layer Beneath Relational Physics

Waldemar Superson

GTi (Generative Theory of ilons) is presented as a foundational generative ontology underlying relational, structural, informational, and categorical approaches in modern physics. The theory replaces substance‑based primitives with ilons—abstract generative units related through morphisms in a small category. Informational and structural configurations ariseas colimits of realized diagrams, and a family of functorial invariants Θ,S,k,λ,χ captures structural properties such as distinction, coherence, stability, and topological class. GTi is not a physical theory but a pre‑relational substrate from which multiple higher‑level frameworks may emerge. It provides a deeper generative layer beneath relational quantum mechanics (Rovelli), informational ontologies such as Wheeler’s “it from bit,” categorical physics (Baez), categorical quantum mechanics (Abramsky–Coecke), ontic structural realism (Ladyman & Ross), and geometric or spinorial programs (Penrose). GTi also offers a structural foundation compatible with spectral and distinction‑based approaches. The article develops the mathematical foundations of GTi, including the generative category I, the realization functor G:I→Set, the role of diagrams and colimits in emergent structure, and the definition of structural invariants. GTi is proposedas a candidate for the deepest ontological layer beneath relational physics and other contemporary foundational programs. Author: Waldemar Superson

Informational Monism: The Architecture of a Living Cosmos

Ari Ariel Marom

This treatise develops Informational Monism as a unified ontological architecture for emergent spacetime, quantum records, and bounded agency. It rejects the premise of an ontologically primary spatiotemporal container populated by localized particles, and treats physical reality instead as a coarse-grained, error-corrected rendering of a deeper informational state. Reality is organized across three tiers: an unmanifest Meta-Background; a low-dimensional Code Circuit carrying a global unitary description; and a rendered bulk in which embodied observers encounter classical spacetime, matter, and records. Within this architecture, the treatise offers interpretive accounts of three central problems in foundational physics. Bell correlations are read through joint commitment at the boundary rather than through bulk signalling. Quantum measurement is treated as the actualization of a single irreversible record under a question-and-commitment discipline that preserves Born neutrality. Black-hole information is handled through complexity-resolved conservation: fine-grained unitarity may be preserved while remaining inaccessible to resource-bounded decoders. A Minimal Core of six postulates supports these proposals without modifying the predictive apparatus of quantum mechanics. Broader extensions — including the Horizon Model of the Dynamic Absolute, the Principle of Super-Balance, and the conservation of meaning — are developed separately and marked as dependent on further postulates. The work distinguishes direction from status in the arrow of time, states labelled conjectures and conditions of revision, and presents a research programme with near-, mid-, and far-term horizons. The result is not a claim of final theory, but a systematic non-dualistic framework in which geometry, record formation, accessibility, and agency can be discussed within one architecture. Keywords: Informational Monism; emergent spacetime; holographic principle; quantum measurement; Bell non-locality; black hole information; complexity; Super-Balance; philosophy of physics; foundations of quantum mechanics

Energy as a Primitive Ontology for the Physical World

J. E. Horvath, Martins, B. B.

We reanalyze from a modern perspective the bold idea of G. Helm, W. Ostwald, P. Duhem and others that energy is the fundamental entity composing the physical world. We start from a broad perspective reminding the search for a fundamental ``substance'' (perhaps better referred to as ous\'ıa, the original Greek word) from the pre-Socratics to the important debate between Ostwald and Boltzmann about the energy vs. atoms at the end of the 19th century. While atoms were eventually accepted (even by Ostwald himself), the emergence of Quantum Mechanics and Relativity were crucial to suggest that the dismissal of energy in favor of atoms was perhaps premature, and should be revisited. We discuss how the so-called primitive ontology programme can be implemented with energy as the fundamental entity, and why fields (and their quanta, particles) should rather be considered as non-fundamental. We sketch some of the difficulties introduced by the attempt to include gravitation in the general scheme.
