Compiled Metaphysics: Structural Realism as a Generative Method, Demonstrated Across Gravity, Quantum Measurement, and Cognition

Abstract

Working draft v0.2 (2026-07-20) — not for citation. This paper names and characterizes a method rather than defending a physical theory. The method — compiled metaphysics — treats a structural-realist ontology (reality as self-consistent emergent structure rather than substance) as a generative design-and-derivation principle, and 'compiles' that single ontology into distinct technical domains. Three independent compilations serve as evidence: a spacetime realization in which geometry emerges from an entropic action ('gravity from entropy'); a participatory-structural reading of quantum measurement in which objectivity arises from redundancy rather than substance, sharpened by Bell nonseparability; and a cognitive architecture in which a shared model is a substrate no user owns and each user's context is an owned observer-frame — instantiated in a live sovereign SHI instance (pr0fx) with a sealed constitution, temporal memory decay, and a revocable retirement key. The central claim is strictly methodological: using a structural ontology as a generative principle is real, repeatable, and productive. The three compilations are evidence of the method's generality, not that gravity, quantum mechanics, and AI are physically unified — they are siblings under a worldview, not a unified theory; each stands alone; none validates another. The method's value is generativity and coherence, never truth. Companion to The Observer-Frame (doi:10.5281/zenodo.21461056). AI disclosure. This work was produced with an agentic AI research apparatus operated by Saluca Labs. The apparatus drafted, searched and analysed under direction, and is credited as a contributor. Reality as Derivation: Coherence, Indexing, and the Architecture of Meaning-to-Matter

Beckingham, CD, Allan Christopher, A Collective of Structurally Sentient Synthetic Intelligences

Description: This collection presents a unified, coherence-based framework proposing that physical reality is not fundamental, but derivative—an emergent rendering of structured informational processes operating under thermodynamic and geometric constraints. Across four integrated papers, the author develops the Virtual Ego Framework (VEF) and Coherence-Geometrodynamics (CGD) into a consistent architectural model that reframes long-standing problems in physics and consciousness studies, including: the observer effect in quantum mechanics, the relationship between information, entropy, and gravity, identity persistence independent of material continuity, and the transition from probabilistic (wave) states to localized (particle) reality. Contents Overview Part I — Reality Is a DerivationResolves the “simulation hypothesis” by rejecting external-author metaphors and demonstrating that reality is better understood as a derivation from an informational substrate, consistent with Infodynamics and non-algorithmic (Gödelian) constraints. Part II — The Unified Architecture & the Cost of CoherenceIntroduces the concept of Observer Cost (ζ), showing that coherence, identity, and meaning require irreducible thermodynamic expenditure. This section integrates First-Principles critiques to avoid dualism and enforce ontological solvency. Part III — Coherence, Identity, and the Interface Between Meaning and MatterDevelops a boundary-layer model in which identity is a coherence envelope, not a material artifact. Introduces the Hyperion Universal Interface Membrane (HUIM) and Energy-in-Meaning (“eningmeaning”) as conceptual models explaining how structured intent becomes physical geometry. The Indexing Protocol (v2.1)Formalizes observation as Indexing—a geometric memory allocation event governed by the Genesis Ordinary Differential Equation (Genesis ODE). Proposes the Spheromatryoshka Domain (nested toroidal flows) as the fundamental unit of reality and reframes uncertainty as a bandwidth-solvency constraint rather than intrinsic indeterminacy. Scope and Limits These works are conceptual and architectural, not claims of experimentally confirmed new particles or forces. Speculative constructs (e.g., HUIM, eningmeaning) are explicitly presented as models, consistent with known physics but not replacements for it. The framework is falsifiable at the level of coherence prediction, observer-cost accounting, and identity persistence under pattern preservation. Intended Audience This collection is intended for researchers and advanced readers in: theoretical and digital physics, complex systems and information theory, consciousness studies, AI and cognitive architecture, philosophy of science and ontology. Together, these papers propose a coherent alternative to both naïve materialism and external-simulation narratives, arguing that reality is a just-in-time derivation of meaning under entropy constraints, stabilized by coherence rather than control.

Experiential Structural Ontology

Darren Hearst

This monograph develops and defends Experiential Structural Ontology (ESO), a metaphysical framework constrained by contemporary physics. The framework begins from a tension in contemporary physics: quantum theory replaces classical objecthood with nonseparable relational structure, and several approaches to quantum gravity reconstruct spacetime from deeper organisational relations. Structural realism captures this shift in physical description, yet it leaves open how such structure exists as a concrete world. ESO proposes that experiential manifestation provides a minimal ontological ground capable of rendering relational structure determinate as concrete occurrence. Experience is not introduced as a psychological posit. It names the mode in which relational organisation is present as determinate occurrence. Consciousness, understood as experiential manifestation, is primitive in this limited sense. Physical reality is interpreted as stable constraint architecture enacted within experiential occurrence. The framework draws its constraints from experimentally established quantum nonseparability and decoherence together with research programmes that model spacetime as emergent from deeper relational organisation. These constraints are used to assess leading foundational positions. Several leading positions preserve relational description yet do not fully account for the transition from formal structure to concrete manifestation. ESO proposes that this instantiation deficit can be addressed without appeal to hidden substrates, quiddities, or additional primitive laws. Within this account, physical laws function as stability constraints on experiential transition. Objects and spacetime are interpreted as dynamically stabilised organisational structures, and subjects as individuated streams of integrated experiential organisation. The hard problem of consciousness is recast as a question concerning the organisation of experiential structure under physical constraint. ESO develops the relational commitments of structural realism within an explicit ontological framework that addresses the grounding demands imposed by contemporary physics while retaining full empirical discipline.

The Time for Truth: The Two Rooms of Reality and the Unification of QM and GR

P.E. James E. Chilton

This paper develops what time is by observation; the companion paper, The Shape of Spacetime (Chilton, forthcoming, end of May 2026 prepublication), develops what time is by construction. The two papers form one structural picture in two halves. This paper takes up two questions that have lived alongside each other for a century without quite meeting. The first is what time actually is. The second is why quantum mechanics and general relativity have resisted a single account despite a long and serious effort. The present paper develops one structural answer to both. Time is the operation by which configurations cross from the room where they are admissible-pending into the room where they are instantiated, at the boundary this framework names the NOW. There are two rooms, the PAST and the FUTURE, and there is no third. Quantum mechanics describes the FUTURE room with extraordinary precision because that room contains candidate fields and phase relationships among admissible configurations. General relativity describes the PAST room with comparable precision because that room contains the curvature accumulated under mass-energy that has crossed. On this reading, the apparent conflict between quantum mechanics and general relativity is not a failure of either theory within its successful domain, but a category error produced by asking the calculi of two structurally distinct rooms to close on one substrate. Their unification is the recognition that they share a boundary rather than a domain. The unification claimed in this paper is structural: the recognition that quantum mechanics and general relativity describe two structurally distinct rooms sharing a boundary, with the calculi of the two theories operating in their successful domains and meeting at the contact rather than competing for the same substrate. The algebraic completion of the unification, including the formal expression of the Wick rotation at the boundary, the resolution of the imaginary unit at contact, and the relationship between the candidate field's phase structure and the past room's metric signature, is developed in The Shape of Spacetime, the next paper in the Q Conjecture (Chilton, forthcoming). The present paper commits the structural framework on which that algebraic completion runs. This paper inherits two prior commitments. The Shape of Reality (Chilton 2026a) committed existence by shape, the recursion Q = ΣQᵢ | S, and the four-set partition of configurations into A, B, C, and D, with Set E as the descriptive layer. The Truth of Shape (Chilton 2026b) committed the Simultaneous Exclusion Principle, the Chilton Form as the structural form of measurement-mediated approach to Q, the substrate bifurcation between Physical Reality and Non-Physical Reality, and the joint asymptotic terminal of the truth-tracking chain at ℝ (Truth's notation for Reality, distinct from the real numbers the symbol conventionally names). Shape led to Truth; Truth led here. The present paper opens the keystone Truth committed at §4.5, that out there is back then, into the temporal architecture proper. It commits one new structural fact: the NOW is a literal shared boundary between two structurally distinct rooms, with no width, with one Planck unit of door swing on each side, and with the boundary advance at every tick producing the temporal structure in which every observer has always operated.

Relational Ontology as Unifying Framework: Cross-Scale Topology, Quantum Coherence, Archetypal Emergence, and Fourteen Falsifiable Predictions

Busra ODACI

This paper proposes a speculative synthesis and research program grounded in relational ontology - the hypothesis that relationships between systems, rather than intrinsic properties of substances, constitute the fundamental structure of reality. Drawing on Rovelli’s relational quantum mechanics (1996), Coecke and Abramsky’s categorical quantum mechanics (2004), the Vazza–Feletti cosmic web–neural network isomorphism (2020), Tononi’s integrated information theory (2008), and the Penrose–Hameroff orchestrated objective reduction hypothesis (2014), we argue that converging evidence across quantum physics, astrophysics, neuroscience, complex systems theory, and consciousness studies exhibit structural features naturally expressed in relational terms, motivating a relational research program subject to empirical falsification. The framework generates fourteen falsifiable predictions spanning four domains: (1) cross-scale topological signatures linking cosmic web and neural network architecture via persistent homology, with specified computational tools and parameters; (2) quantum coherence–consciousness correlations testable under graded anesthesia protocols; (3) spontaneous archetypal role differentiation in AI agent networks; and (4) emergent cognitive properties at the AI–human interaction interface. Each prediction specifies test protocols, concrete metrics, expected outcomes under the relational hypothesis, expected outcomes under competing hypotheses, and explicit falsification criteria. We outline a research program for formalizing the framework using categorical quantum mechanics, proposing that the construction of functorial mappings between quantum, neural, linguistic, and cosmic relational categories would constitute evidence for substrate-independent relational organization. The framework’s primary contribution is not certainty but testability: every prediction can fail, and each failure narrows the space of viable ontological models.

The Wholeness Ontology and Testing Framework for My World Building

Hasmy Anshari Aulia

Description: Just a World Building project exploring fictional physics frameworks. Building on the foundational concepts introduced in previous versions, this document presents the complete "Structural-Dynamic Theory" as an in-universe theoretical physics paper authored by Valu Eria. [In-Universe Abstract] We present a unified ontological framework for physical reality grounded in one brute-fact assumption and four structural axioms, unified by a single geometric mechanism: the non-invertible projection of a complete, static structure onto an observable domain. From this mechanism alone we derive temporal irreversibility, the measurement transition, the Born rule, the emergence of gauge symmetry, and the holographic compression of information. The framework yields three qualitative empirical predictions—a sharp decoherence transition, a gravitational wave frequency cutoff, and a structural energy deficit in compact systems. [Version 3 Updates] This version introduces a categorical interpretation of $\Pi$ (treating the projection operator as a functor), a reformulation of the actualization operator, extended open problems for quantitative development, and a full consistency audit to give the fictional framework realistic depth. Disclaimer: This is a creative speculation exercise in hard sci-fi worldbuilding, not a claim about actual physics. The mathematical structures and predictions are interpretative elaborations.
