Steering, bipartite, and genuine tripartite entanglement in five-mode hybrid cavity electro-optomechanical systems

Ping Yu, Jian-Song Zhang, Wenxue Zhong +1 more

We propose a scheme to generate one-way steering, bipartite, and genuine tripartite entanglement in a five-mode hybrid cavity electro-optomechanical system consisted of an optical cavity, a mechanical resonator, and three microwave cavity modes with the help of a squeezed vacuum field. The optical cavity is pumped by a squeezed vacuum field. The mechanical resonator is formed by a freely vibrating silicon nitride membrane, which is a part of a capacitor in an inductor–capacitor circuit forming three microwave resonators. We find that there is robust entanglement and one-way steering between the optical cavity mode and microwave cavity modes in the presence of the squeezed vacuum field. Particularly, there is steady-state genuine tripartite entanglement between three microwave cavity modes, which is robust against thermal fluctuations. Our scheme could be useful for various quantum tasks based on hybrid electro-optomechanical systems fabricated on chips.

Non-classical Features in a Pump-free Hybrid Atom-optomechanical System

Adagn Addisu Dabulo

This work investigates the emergence of Non-classical Features in a pump-free hybrid atom-optomechanical system, addressing key limitations of conventional platforms that rely on strong coherent driving and are highly vulnerable to thermal decoherence. We propose a novel architecture in which a squeezed vacuum reservoir acts as a pre-correlated quantum environment, enabling the deterministic generation and stabilization of nonclassical correlations without the need for an external laser pump. By exploiting reservoir-engineered interactions, the system supports robust quadrature squeezing and multipartite entanglement across a wide range of operational parameters. Our analysis demonstrates that the hybrid system achieves significant squeezing levels approaching 90%, while simultaneously satisfying the DGCZ inseparability criterion, confirming the presence of strong continuous-variable entanglement. Importantly, these nonclassical signatures remain resilient under extreme thermal conditions, withstanding thermal occupancies as high as (nth = 1500), which substantially exceeds the tolerance of traditional laser-driven optomechanical systems. The underlying mechanism is attributed to passive correlation injection from the engineered reservoir, which effectively suppresses thermal noise and enhances quantum coherence even in weak-coupling and low-power regimes. This eliminates the need for active pumping, thereby reducing energy consumption and experimental complexity. Furthermore, the hybrid atom-optomechanical configuration introduces additional tunability through atomic gain and population inversion, thereby allowing flexible control over system dynamics and correlation properties. Overall, the proposed scheme establishes a scalable and energy-efficient pathway toward realizing robust quantum correlations in realistic noisy environments. It opens new prospects for cryogen-free quantum technologies, including quantum-enhanced sensing, precision metrology, and long-distance entanglement distribution.

Enhancement of tripartite entanglement via periodically modulated fields with an atom-assisted optomechanical system

Jiaxin Wen, Yi Lu, Zhenghong Li +1 more

Abstract We propose a model for controlling and enhancing the entanglement between the two cavity fields and mirror with a hybrid optomechanical system consisting of Λ-type three-level 85Rb atomic ensembles driven by two externally modulated laser fields. When one (another) cavity mode is driven at the red (blue) mechanical sideband and both cavity modes are blue-detuned by the mechanical frequency to the respective atomic resonant transitions, the dynamic coupling control of the cavity field and mirror can be realized by periodically modulating the amplitudes of the two incident laser fields. Compared to the unmodulated case, the periodic modulation of the laser fields in a cavity-optomechanical system embedded with a small number of atoms has the capability to enhance the entanglement between the two cavity fields and mirror. This scheme provides a new approach to the generation and control of entanglement in cavity-optomechanical systems.
