Abstract

We propose a scheme to generate one-way steering, bipartite, and genuine tripartite entanglement in a five-mode hybrid cavity electro-optomechanical system consisted of an optical cavity, a mechanical resonator, and three microwave cavity modes with the help of a squeezed vacuum field. The optical cavity is pumped by a squeezed vacuum field. The mechanical resonator is formed by a freely vibrating silicon nitride membrane, which is a part of a capacitor in an inductor–capacitor circuit forming three microwave resonators. We find that there is robust entanglement and one-way steering between the optical cavity mode and microwave cavity modes in the presence of the squeezed vacuum field. Particularly, there is steady-state genuine tripartite entanglement between three microwave cavity modes, which is robust against thermal fluctuations. Our scheme could be useful for various quantum tasks based on hybrid electro-optomechanical systems fabricated on chips.

Squeezing and entangling two microwave modes of electro-optomechanical systems with two driving lasers

Abstract We propose an effective scheme to generate the squeezed vacuum states of two microwave fields, bipartite and genuine tripartite entanglement in a compound four-mode electro-optomechanical system with two driving lasers of different amplitudes. We find that two microwave fields can be squeezed simultaneously when the effective coupling constants between mechanical oscillator and two microwave fields are chosen appropriately. In particular, the squeezing of one microwave mode can be larger than 3 dB even at high temperature. We also find that bipartite and genuine tripartite entanglement can be generated in this system which are robust against thermal fluctuations. Our scheme may have potential applications in quantum information processing and quantum metrology.

Dynamical quantum steering in a pulsed hybrid opto-electro-mechanical system

Tesfay Gebremariam Tesfahannes, Mojtaba Mazaheri, Ye‐Xiong Zeng +1 more

We have investigated the dynamical entanglement and quantum steering in a pulsed hybrid opto-electro-mechanical system. Using the symmetric and asymmetric criteria, the possibilities of bipartite entanglement, one-way steering, two-way steering, and collective tripartite steering have been studied between different output modes. In addition, the influence of the squeezing parameter on the amount of tripartite steering measurement is also examined. The results show that a higher electro-mechanical coupling rate leads to stronger tripartite steering. The microwave cavity mode can enhance the output quantum steering and remotely steers the optical cavity. Thus, the slower mode can steer the faster mode. Such hybrid systems can serve as frequency converters between microwave and optical domains and can have a profound impact on building quantum networks of microwave-operated superconducting quantum computers.

Generation of large tripartite entanglement in optomechanical systems

Pu Liu, X. Y. Zhang, Xiao‐Lei Hao +2 more

We theoretically propose a scheme to generate strong genuine tripartite entanglement among three mechanical oscillators in a multimode optomechanical system. In our setup, each mechanical oscillator is independently coupled to three optical modes supported by a single optical cavity, with each optical mode driven by a six-tone driving field. By appropriately tailoring the amplitudes of the driving fields, the mechanical steady state can be engineered into a three-mode squeezed vacuum state exhibiting significant genuine tripartite entanglement. We further investigate the effects of mechanical thermal reservoirs and demonstrate that the entanglement generated by our scheme persists at a significant level even at dilution refrigerator temperatures. Our results offer a feasible route toward the generation and utilization of multipartite entanglement in quantum optomechanical platforms, with potential applications in quantum devices.

Entanglement generation and steering implementation in a double-cavity-magnon hybrid system

We demonstrate a scheme for the generation of bipartite and tripartite entanglement, as well as he implementation of stable and controllable long-distance one-way and asymmetric two-way steering in a cavity-magnon hybrid system. This system consists of a magnon mode and two coupled microwave cavities. The first cavity is driven by a flux-driven Josephson parametric amplifier, which generates squeezed vacuum fields, and is coupled to the other cavity through optical tunneling interaction. The second cavity and magnon mode are coupled through magnetic dipole interaction. We find that under weak coupling between the two cavities, and strong coupling between the second cavity and magnon mode, remote controllable one-way steering and tripartite entanglement can be achieved. Our scheme may have potential applications in quantum information.

Dissipation-driven entanglement between two microwave fields in a four-mode hybrid cavity optomechanical system

Chang-Geng Liao, Xiao Shang, Hong Xie +1 more

The generation and manipulation of highly pure and strongly entangled steady state in a quantum system are vital tasks in the standard continuous-variable teleportation protocol. Especially, the manipulation implemented in integrated devices is even more crucial in practical quantum information applications. Here we propose an effective approach for creating steady-state entanglement between two microwave fields in a four-mode hybrid cavity optomechanical system. The entanglement can be achieved by combining the processes of three beam-splitter interactions and two parametric-amplifier interactions. Due to the dissipation-driven and cavity cooling processes, the entanglement obtained can go far beyond the entanglement limit based on coherent parametric coupling. Moreover, our proposal allows the engineered bath to cool both Bogoliubov modes almost simultaneously. In this way, a highly pure and strongly entangled steady state of two microwave modes is obtained. Our finding may be significant for using the hybrid opto-electro-mechanical system fabricated on chips in various quantum tasks, where the strong and pure entanglement is an important resource.
