Abstract

Abstract Quantum dialogue (QD) is a term of quantum cryptography, which can fulfill the secure exchange of two parties’ private information in an open environment. Up to now, there have been a lot of QD protocols. Many have several common components and activities, such as encoding photons coming forth with auxiliary photons and back, one party or both performing unitary operations on encoding photons, two times of security check, and both parties’ private data being decoded chronologically from encoding photons. This work proposes a brand-new QD model, whose quantum transmission is unidirectional with only one security check and decoding of both parties’ secrets are simultaneous. Equally important is neither unitary operations nor auxiliary photons being used. Consequently, such a QD can substantially reduce costs and increase efficiency, thus entitled fast quantum dialogue (FQD). The presented FQD protocol is analysed with safety and without information leakage. Moreover, its information-theoretical efficiency is 88.89%, much higher than the current maximum 66.67%. So, it offers us a better alternative for QD.

An Efficient Protocol for Quantum Secure Dialogue With Authentication by Using Single Photons

Faiegh Sheikhehi, Mosayeb Naseri

An efficient practical feasible protocol for quantum secure dialogue by using single photons is proposed. Comparing with the previous protocols, in the proposed protocol, no classical message has to exchanged during the decoding of the secret messages, so the present scheme is not only overcome the drawback “information leakage”, it possesses the characters of security and maximum efficiency. The other highlight of our protocol is that, in this method one party is able to first read the message received from the other party before sending another message back in reply.

Efficient and Secure Authenticated Quantum Dialogue with Single Photons

Wenjun Luo, Liu Guang

A new quantum dialogue (QD) protocol with single photons is proposed. In the proposed protocol, two participants perform different operations according to their own secret information. A key previously shared by the two communicants through a secure QKD protocol is used to control not only the encoding operation of the dialogue initiator but also security detection. The analysis on efficiency demonstrates the proposed protocol is more efficient.

A novel quantum dialogue without information leakage based on single photons in both polarization and spatial-mode degrees of freedom

Shen Rao

This paper puts forward a novel quantum dialogue (QD) protocol without information leakage based on single photons in both polarization and spatial-mode degrees of freedom. In this protocol, the receiver sends his private message to the sender in the way of quantum secure direct communication; and the receiver decodes out the private message of the sender with the help of auxiliary single photons in two degrees of freedom, double controlled-not (CNOT) operations and an auxiliary classical bit sequence sent from the sender. As a result, no information leakage takes place. Moreover, this protocol is proven to defeat the intercept-resend attack, the measure-resend attack, the entangle-measure attack and the Trojan horse attack from an outside eavesdropper. This protocol only employs single photons in two degrees of freedom as quantum resource and needs single-photon measurements. The qubit efficiency of this protocol is as high as 66.7%.

One-step quantum dialogue

Quantum dialogue (QD) enables two communication parties to directly exchange secret messages simultaneously. In conventional QD protocols, photons need to transmit in the quantum channel for two rounds. In this paper, we propose a one-step QD protocol based on the hyperentanglement. With the help of the non-local hyperentanglement-assisted Bell state measurement (BSM), the photons only need to transmit in the quantum channel once. We prove that our one-step QD protocol is secure in theory and numerically simulate its secret message capacity under practical experimental condition. Compared with previous QD protocols, the one-step QD protocol can effectively simplify the experiment operations and reduce the message loss caused by the photon transmission loss. Meanwhile, the non-local hyperentanglement-assisted BSM has a success probability of 100% and is feasible with linear optical elements. Moreover, combined with the hyperentanglement heralded amplification and purification, our protocol is possible to realize long-distance one-step QD.

An efficient quantum secure dialogue scheme without information leakage by using single photons

Zhenchao Zhu, Aiqun Hu, Anmin Fu

A quantum dialogue protocol based on single photons is proposed in this paper, two legitimate dialogue parties can send their secret messages to each other simultaneously. The protocol is secure against the denial of service attack, the delay-photon Trojan horse attack and invisible photon eavesdropping attack. Moreover, it can overcome the information leakage problem existed in most previous quantum dialogue protocols. Compared with the only secure quantum dialogue protocol based on single photons which also can overcome the information leakage problem as far as we know, our protocol has a higher efficiency for qubits. The protocol is experimentally feasible within current technologies.
