Redefining the Electron with regard to Augmented Newtonian Dynamics

Abstract

This paper presents a novel model of the electron according to Augmented Newtonian Dynamics, extending Newtonian dynamics into the sub-atomic level. The paper challenges the conventional understanding of quantum mechanics, particularly the wave-particle duality and the resulting wave-function paradigm. It begins by critiquing the historical adoption of duality to resolve issues like the radiative instability of electrons in atomic orbits, as highlighted by the Larmor formula. The author contends that while duality helped stabilize atomic models, experimental evidence—such as the Lamb shift—indicates that the electron can be more accurately described without invoking wave-particle duality. The proposed model describes the electron as a stable, solid particle that regulates its energy around the nucleus by continually emitting and absorbing virtual photons and in this way self- regulating its energy and preventing it from falling into the nucleus through a dissipation of its energy through radiation. The paper introduces the concept of zero energy in a nuanced and regulated manner showing that it occupies the whole of the Universe. This network, termed the virtual photon field or dark matter (aether), permeates all of space and plays a fundamental role in electromagnetic radiation and gravity.

Restoring Classical Order: Atomic Structure from Augmented Newtonian Principles

Dilip D James

This paper proposes a new theoretical framework, within Augmented Newtonian Dynamics (AND), for describing atomic structure and spectral emission without invoking quantum jumps or probabilistic transitions. According to AND theory, atoms consist of well-defined shells and orbitals determined by energy balance between the nucleus and electrons. Stable orbitals do not emit or absorb radiation. Electrons in stable orbitals do however undergo continuous self-interactions via virtual photons to ensure orbital stability, they do not emit or absorb real photons. Only atoms with unpaired (odd) electrons exhibit photon emission or absorption, which occurs deterministically in accordance with precise energy matching. Recoil of the electron off the nucleus and strict conservation of energy and momentum ensure that photon absorption and re-emission obey directional laws analogous to optics. The theory is presented as a response to the inadequacies of spontaneous emission theory in the face of ultra-high-precision technologies such as optical atomic clocks and GHz-range quantum processors.

Electricity and Radio Waves According to Augmented Newtonian Dynamics: (AND)

Dilip D James

Quantum mechanics has ruled the sub-atomic realm for over a century, asserting that the laws governing sub-atomic particles differ from those prevailing at the macro level. The implementation of wave-particle duality, the Schrodinger wave equation and its associated wave-function have eclipsed all other schools of thought with regard to the sub-atomic realm. Now Augmented Newtonian Dynamics (AND), challenges this outlook and implements Newtonian Dynamics at the sub-atomic level by stating that photons are not created externally to the electron as excitations of the electromagnetic field but rather are produced internally within the electron as a means of mediating its energy. This new paradigm of photon production enables the production and emission of photons at rates that comply with the latest findings through the observation of optical atomic clocks indicating that electrons emit photons in the hundreds of trillions per second. This has enabled the explanation of every branch of physics, not through the inaccurate, and esoteric implementation of wave-functions but through the easily understood and calculable classical physics paradigms. In this paper the conduction of electricity and the formation of radio-waves is discussed.

A Newtonian Ontological Model Resolving Wave-Particle Duality

Amit Bajpai

Augmented Newtonian Dynamics (AND) is a modified framework for understanding the behavior of particles within classical mechanics, extending traditional Newtonian dynamics by incorporating interactions that arise from the quantum vacuum. In this theory, the vacuum is not an empty void but a dynamic medium that influences particle motion through transient fluctuations. These fluctuations, although imperceptible at macroscopic scales, result in brief yet significant interactions that modify the trajectories and stability of particles. At the core of AND is the idea that particles, while orbiting the nucleus, continuously engage in short-lived, localized interactions with the vacuum. These interactions exert forces on the particles that are strong enough to influence their motion yet occur over such brief time scales that they do not violate macroscopic conservation laws of energy and momentum. This subtle yet persistent interaction with the vacuum provides a stabilizing effect on the motion of particles, preventing phenomena such as the collapse of orbital systems or rapid energy dissipation, which would otherwise be expected in classical mechanics. By integrating these vacuum-based forces into the classical framework, Augmented Newtonian Dynamics offers a new perspective on particle motion, one that accounts for stability in systems where classical mechanics would traditionally predict instability. The theory posits that these interactions, while small in their instantaneous effects, accumulate over time to produce stable, self-correcting dynamics for particles in various systems, leading to observable phenomena that diverge from traditional Newtonian predictions without invoking additional classical forces.

Beyond QED: A Classical Field Approach to Energy Absorption and Redistribution

Dilip D James

This paper is part of a series exploring the interaction of light with matter across a wide range of physical forms. It proposes a unified, classically grounded alternative to modern quantum theory, known as Augmented Newtonian Dynamics (AND) Theory. While the Standard Model and Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) rely heavily on abstract constructs-such as wavefunctions, virtual particles, and uncertainty-AND Theory seeks to restore physical clarity through a continuous, deterministic framework rooted in observable mechanisms. In AND Theory, electrons are treated as real, self-regulating entities that emit and absorb photons to maintain energy equilibrium. These interactions take place within a structured field of virtual photons-identified with dark matter-which serves as the universal medium for electromagnetic and gravitational processes. Rather than invoking virtual particles as ad hoc solutions, AND Theory integrates them into a coherent picture of energy exchange that never departs from empirical logic or classical principles. This paper applies the AND framework to a comparative analysis of how heat and radiation interact with different classes of matter, including metals, insulators, and organic materials. The result is a compelling alternative to the prevailing quantum paradigm-one that offers simplicity, consistency, and a return to physically intelligible science.

On the Essence of Electron Motion Without Fixed Orbits and Energy Quantization of Photon Radiation

Jiaqing Yan

This paper re-examines the mechanism of electron motion inside atoms and the causes of photon radiation and photon absorption, abandoning the inherent cognition of fixed electron orbits and quantum transitions in traditional atomic physics. It clarifies that electrons have no physical fixed orbits; orbits are only imaginary concepts constructed for convenience of description, not objective physical realities. With mass, electrons possess inertia and kinetic energy. Under the three-force equilibrium of Coulomb force, electromagnetic force and inertial effect, electrons naturally move in elliptical trajectories rather than regular circles. When an electron moves along an elliptical trajectory, it naturally passes through low-energy regions near the atomic nucleus and high-energy regions far from the nucleus. This change in position arises entirely from its own inertia, involving only the conversion between kinetic energy and potential energy. The electron neither gains nor loses total energy, so it emits no photons and undergoes no energy-level change. An electron loses total energy when emitting a photon outward, and transitions smoothly and continuously to a lower overall motion range under mechanical equilibrium and inertia. Meanwhile, an electron can also absorb external photons and gain energy; its total energy increases, and it similarly expands smoothly to a higher motion range. Photon energy is indivisible and can only be emitted or absorbed as a complete unit. This is the fundamental reason why atoms show discrete emission and absorption spectra. Electron motion is entirely smooth and continuous; instantaneous quantum transitions assumed in traditional physics do not exist. Based on classical mechanics and energy conservation, this paper unifies the laws of macroscopic celestial bodies and microscopic particles, and reconstructs an atomic motion model closer to the essential nature of physics.

Augmented Newtonian Dynamics (AND): on Science vs Dogma

Dilip D James

Science thrives on critical scrutiny, openness to objections, and the continual revision of models in response to new evidence. When scientific theories become impervious to reasonable criticism, they risk devolving into dogma?rigid, unquestioned beliefs that hinder progress. This paper explores the dynamic relationship between science, truth, and criticism, emphasizing that scientific models are provisional, approximating reality rather than providing absolute truths. The role of criticism in science is crucial, ensuring that knowledge evolves and remains grounded in evidence. However, when biases, cognitive dissonance, or institutional pressures influence the acceptance of theories despite a lack of empirical support, scientific integrity can be compromised. This paper examines how uncritical adherence to certain scientific dogmas, especially when supported by powerful institutions, can distort the scientific process and divert attention from more promising inquiries. Ultimately, the paper addresses the question of whether emotional attachment or cognitive bias, can justify the rejection of evidence and the stifling of constructive criticism in science. Augmented Newtonian Dynamics makes deep inroads into the esoteric consequences of the adoption of wave - particle duality by quantum mechanics. This is achieved through two well supported ideas, namely the attribution of electron stability to self - regulation via emission and absorption of virtual photons in a process of self - interaction and the revival of the aether theory.
