This paper is part of a series exploring the interaction of light with matter across a wide range of physical forms. It proposes a unified, classically grounded alternative to modern quantum theory, known as Augmented Newtonian Dynamics (AND) Theory. While the Standard Model and Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) rely heavily on abstract constructs-such as wavefunctions, virtual particles, and uncertainty-AND Theory seeks to restore physical clarity through a continuous, deterministic framework rooted in observable mechanisms. In AND Theory, electrons are treated as real, self-regulating entities that emit and absorb photons to maintain energy equilibrium. These interactions take place within a structured field of virtual photons-identified with dark matter-which serves as the universal medium for electromagnetic and gravitational processes. Rather than invoking virtual particles as ad hoc solutions, AND Theory integrates them into a coherent picture of energy exchange that never departs from empirical logic or classical principles. This paper applies the AND framework to a comparative analysis of how heat and radiation interact with different classes of matter, including metals, insulators, and organic materials. The result is a compelling alternative to the prevailing quantum paradigm-one that offers simplicity, consistency, and a return to physically intelligible science.

This work presents a unified, physically grounded reinterpretation of light?matter interaction phenomena-absorption, emission, reflection, transmission, and extinction-through the framework of Augmented Newtonian Dynamics (AND). Departing from probabilistic and field-based quantum descriptions, AND theory proposes that photons are real, discrete entities interacting with electrons in matter via time-bound, mechanically governed processes. Electrons do not permanently absorb photons; rather, they engage in a rapid cycle of absorption followed by recoil and elastic re-emission, maintaining energy continuity and directional coherence. This mechanism accounts for the colour of objects, the transmission of light through transparent media, and its extinction in opaque substances where elastic passage is not feasible. Reflection is interpreted in keeping with classical laws, as the result of electron recoil occurring at specific angles, conserving momentum and preserving the incoming photon?s energy and frequency. Emission is not spontaneous or random but arises from well-defined energy exchanges, with recoil effects that obey Newtonian action?reaction principles. Finally, extinction is treated not as a loss of the photon per se, but as a redistribution of its energy into thermal motion via inelastic encounters. By aligning with core classical principles-conservation of energy, momentum, and quantized photon energy (E = h?)-this approach offers a consistent and intuitively accessible model of light behavior, eliminating the need for metaphysical constructs and reinforcing the explanatory power of classical physics extended by virtual photon dynamics.
The mainstream system of physics today is shackled by three major theoretical frameworks that fundamentally deviate from research rooted in matter and objective reality. All three are constructed based on abstract assumptions that contradict intuitive material motion and formal logic. First, the geometric metaphysical system derived from General Relativity, including spacetime curvature, Einstein’s field equations, extra dimensions, gravitational waves, black hole singularities, the Big Bang, dark matter, dark energy, spacetime distortion, wormholes and other related flawed propositions. This framework arbitrarily reinterprets gravitational effects of celestial bodies as unobservable geometric deformations of spacetime, and fabricates the concept of "gravitational waves" claimed to propagate at the speed of light. Quantitative calculations targeting the 1.3-billion-light-year black hole merger event prove that the field equations artificially set a mere 5% mass loss ratio. The calculated amplitude of gravitational fluctuations is tens of thousands of times larger than values derived from Newtonian mechanics consistent with real material transformation rules. This parameter is only a fitting tool to match detected signals, contradicting the objective law that all solid matter converts into photon plasma and gravitational force vanishes completely after celestial mergers. When calculations from the field equations conflict with galactic observational data, scholars invent unobservable hypothetical concepts such as dark matter, dark energy and extra dimensions to patch theoretical gaps, deliberately ignoring empirically verifiable physical mechanisms including interstellar plasma refraction and instantaneous action-at-a-distance gravitational force between celestial bodies. Second, the probabilistic idealistic interpretation of quantum mechanics, covering quantum superposition, Schrödinger’s cat, wave function collapse, observer effect, probability clouds, Heisenberg uncertainty principle, and subjectively biased explanations of quantum entanglement. This system breaks the law of contradiction in formal logic by asserting that objects can simultaneously hold mutually exclusive states, and arbitrarily proposes wave-particle duality to misclassify photons as entities possessing both wave and particle properties. Researchers deliberately avoid measuring fundamental parameters of photons such as vibration amplitude, vibration angle and vibration frequency. Intuitive experimental contrasts show interference and diffraction fringes only emerge when single/double slits are present, yet existing experimental equipment is fully capable of clarifying interactive mechanisms between photons and slit walls. Relevant foundational measurements have long been neglected. Third, the standard model’s artificially fitted spectrum of confined hypothetical particles, including quarks, gluons, the Higgs boson, neutrinos, virtual photons, quark-gluon plasma, etc. Heavy-ion collision experiments conducted at laboratories such as CERN can generate extreme temperatures of 2 trillion to 4 trillion degrees Celsius. Under such conditions, all solid particles fully dissociate into pure gamma photon clusters. However, to preserve the integrity of the standard model, scholars falsely claim stable quarks and gluons persist at ultrahigh temperatures, naming dense photon fireballs "quark-gluon plasma". They also introduce undetectable virtual photons to explain bidirectional conversion between photons and solid particles, fabricating imaginary intermediaries to obscure the straightforward objective law of energy-matter transformation, entirely abandoning the scientific spirit of pursuing objective truth. This paper clearly states its core stand: photons are pure energy particles with no inherent wave characteristics. The so-called "gravitational waves" defined by General Relativity do not exist objectively. The oscillating signals captured by detectors merely reflect variations in gravitational magnitude caused by relative motion of celestial bodies, rather than ripples propagating through spacetime. Gravitational force never travels in wave form. These three theoretical frameworks are tightly intertwined, forming a self-enclosed paradigm culture that prioritizes defending existing theories over exploring objective reality. They consume massive scientific research resources and continuously hinder humanity’s ability to interpret the fundamental laws of the universe through observable, logically consistent realistic concepts (the essence of photons, plasma refraction, instantaneous action-at-a-distance forces). This paper comprehensively lists all concepts inconsistent with empirical science, analyzes their flaws in logic, computation and experimental observation, and advocates reconstructing a unified physical framework grounded in observable material motion.
This paper proposes a new theoretical framework, within Augmented Newtonian Dynamics (AND), for describing atomic structure and spectral emission without invoking quantum jumps or probabilistic transitions. According to AND theory, atoms consist of well-defined shells and orbitals determined by energy balance between the nucleus and electrons. Stable orbitals do not emit or absorb radiation. Electrons in stable orbitals do however undergo continuous self-interactions via virtual photons to ensure orbital stability, they do not emit or absorb real photons. Only atoms with unpaired (odd) electrons exhibit photon emission or absorption, which occurs deterministically in accordance with precise energy matching. Recoil of the electron off the nucleus and strict conservation of energy and momentum ensure that photon absorption and re-emission obey directional laws analogous to optics. The theory is presented as a response to the inadequacies of spontaneous emission theory in the face of ultra-high-precision technologies such as optical atomic clocks and GHz-range quantum processors.
This work develops a structural framework in which light is understood not as a propagating particle or wave, but as a process of electromagnetic field reorganization constrained by geometry and material conditions.Emission is treated as a local disruption of field coherence rather than the creation of a traveling entity. Between emission and absorption, the field enters an open, pre-realizational phase in which no localized physical event occurs. Geometry, material boundaries, and environmental structure act as physical selectors that restrict admissible field configurations. A photon is realized only at absorption, as the localized closure of this open field organization. The framework integrates established empirical phenomena — including spontaneous emission, interference with single quanta, cavity quantum electrodynamics, detector discreteness, and mirror behavior — into a single causal architecture, without introducing new field equations or modifying the formalism of Maxwellian electrodynamics or quantum electrodynamics. The speed of light is interpreted as a structural limit governing the maximal rate at which coherent field organization can be maintained across spatial separation, rather than as the velocity of a transported object. The work further identifies a continuity between quantum and gravitational regimes, in which both emerge from a common phase structure but correspond to different domains of realizability. The proposal is structural rather than dynamical in scope. It does not introduce new laws or entities, but specifies where and when physical events are taken to occur within existing electromagnetic theory, thereby providing a unified physical account of emission, interference, reflection, and photon detection.
This work presents a unified, realistic, and mechanically grounded interpretation of fundamental physics across all scales, from quarks and elementary particles to atoms, macroscopic bodies, planetary motion, and black holes. The proposed framework provides a single coherent physical description capable of reproducing and explaining, within a common dynamical structure, the full range of phenomena traditionally treated separately by general relativity, quantum mechanics, and quantum electrodynamics. Within this approach, long-standing conceptual problems such as wave–particle duality, quantum interference, entanglement, and wavefunction collapse are not postulated as fundamental features of nature, but emerge naturally as dynamical properties of a physically real medium. The apparent dual behavior of matter and radiation, as well as nonlocal quantum correlations, arise from coherent and topologically constrained excitations of this medium, without invoking probabilistic ontologies or nonphysical abstractions. The theory is based on a revised physical concept of space, treated as a real superfluid medium endowed with density, elasticity, viscosity, permittivity, permeability, and a very small but non-zero electrical conductivity. In this model, space is no longer a passive geometric background, but an active physical system capable of storing, transmitting, and dissipating energy.Mass is interpreted as an isotropic compression of the superfluid, electric charge as an oriented torsional configuration, and fields as elastic stress and vorticity distributions of the medium itself. Electromagnetic and gravitational waves are described as propagating perturbations of the superfluid, while particles correspond to stable solitonic configurations sustained by the medium dynamics. At the microscopic level, starting from classical fluid equations (continuity and Euler equations) and applying the Madelung transformation, the Schrödinger equation is shown to emerge as a compact complex representation of the underlying real fluid dynamics, rather than as a fundamental postulate. Quantum phenomena such as quantization, tunneling, spin, and exclusion principles follow from stability, coherence, and topological constraints of solitonic wave structures. On cosmological scales, the same framework provides a unified interpretation of redshift, large-scale expansion phenomena, and the cosmic microwave background as cumulative dynamical and dissipative effects of wave propagation within the superfluid medium, rather than as consequences of metric expansion alone. Effects commonly attributed to dark matter and dark energy are reinterpreted as emergent manifestations of spatial density gradients, elastic stresses, and dissipative properties of the superfluid, without introducing additional unknown components. A wide range of experimentally verified phenomena—including the photoelectric effect, Compton scattering, Zeeman–Stark effects, the Aharonov–Bohm effect, Casimir effect, Unruh radiation, and cosmological attenuation effects—are consistently described within this unified framework. The proposed model offers an alternative foundational paradigm for physics, in which space, matter, and interactions emerge from a single physically intelligible dynamical system, restoring a continuous and causal description of nature from microscopic to cosmological scales.
The photoelectric effect, the Compton effects, and now anticorrelation experiments have been claimed to prove that light consists of particles flying through a void. However the particle model is decisively falsified by the known wave qualities of electromagnetic radiation. Quantum Electrodynamics also uses spreading wave amplitudes; not flying particles. The evidence indicates that light is a wave and electrons are electromagnetic wave-structures that absorb and emit light in discrete wave-packets. These wave-quanta are emitted directionally and then spread in space in proportion to their wavelength. Their waves superposition with all other waves in space. In low intensity experiments, the waves that an electron in a photodetector absorbs come from the superpositioning of the source wave-quanta and background radiation. The importance of background radiation is evidenced by "dark counts". Treating electrons and the quanta they absorb and emit as particles when they are composed of waves is the source of all the paradoxes, unreality and confusion in Quantum Mechanics. The word "photon" should be replaced by "quantum" in the description of this particular electronic process. The conceptual model presented here explains the known phenomena without producing paradoxes and unifies quantum and classical electromagnetics.
