Abstract

We study the atom-field interaction at finite temperature and in the dispersive regime. We show that the master equation for this sytem may be solved with the use of superoperator techniques. We calculate the linear entropy in case the field is initially in a coherent state and the atom in a superposition of its ground and excited states.

Solution for the dispersive and dissipative atom-field Hamiltonian under time dependent linear amplification processes

Raúl Juárez-Amaro, Arturo Zúñiga-Segundo, H. M. Moya-Cessa

The dispersive interaction between a two-level atom and a quantized field is studied. We consider besides a time dependent linear amplification and dissipative processes. In order to solve the master equation for this system, we use superoperator techniques.

Solution to the master equation for a quantized cavity mode

We study the behaviour of the density operator for the radiation field in a single-mode cavity at a finite temperature. The master equation is solved for any initial cavity field by using superoperator methods.

Linear Entropies of a Two-level Atom Interacting with Strong Coherent Field

Zhao Jie

Under a weakly coherent field, the linear entropies of atom and field in a two-level atom-field coupling system are investigated. The effects of the atomic initial state on two linear entropies are discussed. The results show that atom and field entropies are influenced by the initial purity of atom and the ground state probability. The atom and field entropies are identical while the atom initially in the ground state, the atom and field show a strong negative correlation while atom is initially in mixed state.

The atom and field linear entropies of a two-level atom interacting with gray-body field are investigated. The effect of the atomic initial state, detuning, intensity of the incident field, absorptivity of the cavity and temperature of the system on the atom and field linear entropies are dicussed.

Entropy property in the system of a single-mode field interacting with two two-level atoms

Zhang Li-hu, Gao‐xiang Li

The time evolution of linear entropy of atom-field coupling system, atom and field in the system of two two-level atoms inside a single-mode cavity with amplitude-damping under the condition of large detuning were investigated. The effects of the initial preparation of two atoms, the decay rate of cavity field and the mean photon number of field on all kinds of linear entropy were discussed. The results show that if both the two atoms are in their excited states or ground states, all the linear entropies equal to zero. But when the two atoms are in their coherent superposition state of excited state and ground state, the cavity dissipation will lead to the system to evolve into a mixed state, the linear entropy of atom and field exhibits periodic oscillations with damped amplitude.
