Quantum informatics paradigms and tools for QIPC

Jozef Gruska

Quantum information processing and communication (QIPC) theory has developed recently very fast and brought a variety of interesting and important results of the great value also for the whole area of quantum physics. One can also say that the field of QIPC has been so far mainly theory driven and the experiments have been mostly done to show that it is indeed possible, and how difficult is to make it, what theory shows as possible. One of the main reasons for such a fast and successful development of the QIPC science is the fact that paradigms, models, concepts, value system, as well as methods and results of the (theoretical) informatics have been intensively used. The goal of this paper is to go behind this successful crusade and applications of the informatics for QIPC and to present, analyse and illustrate the main ideas, concepts, methods and tools that have been involved. All that should help more physics‐oriented researchers in QIPC to understand that in order to explore the quantum world, new paradigms, concepts, models and so on are now available, and they could and should be used, due to the progress in (theoretical) informatics. Our concentration will be not only on what has been achieved, but even more on the main new challenges. In doing that we will concentrate more on the backgrounds, motivations, goals and implications than on the very technical results.

On the Possibility of Scientific Philosophy for Satisfactory Solution of the Problem of Interrelation of Classical and Quantum Physics

Altayev Namaz Karabalievich

As we know the main results of quantum physics in 1900 Planck began to obtain mainly because of the need to describe the experimental data. Therefore, it further became necessary to obtain theoretical justifications for these results. This means to obtain proofs of these results on the basis of the basic equations of theoretical physics, i.e. equations that are obtained on the way where the right choice of results is made performing the role of the basis of the theory of thought. As is known, these problems began to be solved, taking as a basis the possibilities of the following new ideas of Bohr. That quantum physics should be considered as a generalization of classical physics. But as we know, this path led to the results of matrix mechanics. Results for which such contradiction as non-commutativity of multiplication is inherent. In this paper for obtaining proofs for the results of Planck's quantum physics the fundamental ideas in the field of scientific philosophy were taken as a basis. That is philosophy where from the very beginning for the basis of the theory of thinking the possibilities of equations of algebra and arithmetic are accepted.

Effects of Channel Correlation on Outage Secrecy Capacity

Jinxiao Zhu, Xiaohong Jiang, Osamu Takahashi +1 more

We consider the transmission of confidential data over a wireless quasi-static fading wiretap channel when the main and eavesdropper channels are correlated there. Under the assumption that before transmission the transmitter only knows the channel state information (CSI) of the main channel but has no idea about the CSI of the eavesdropper channel, we derive the asymptotic outage probability and also asymptotic outage secrecy capacity as the transmission power goes to infinity, which cover the corresponding results when the main and eavesdropper channels are independent as special cases. Based on the theoretical results, the effects of channel correlation on the asymptotic outage probability and asymptotic outage secrecy capacity are explored. Remarkably, our results reveal that the correlation between the main and eavesdropper channels has a significant impact on both the asymptotic outage probability and asymptotic outage secrecy capacity and that such an impact can be helpful or harmful depending on the relative channel condition between the main and eavesdropper channels.
