PRINCIPLES OF METAPHYSICS IN THE THEORY OF PHYSICAL STRUCTURES AND IN THE META-RELATIONAL PARADIGM

Abstract

In the work indicated are, firstly, three main reasons for revision of prevailing ideas about physical reality: inadequacy of the classical space-time in microworld physics, unsuccessful attempts to combine the principles of quantum theory and general relativity and, above all, the presence of the third physical paradigm - relational one. Secondly, shown are the constituents of the latter requiring the use of key metaphysical principles, and thirdly, they have been formulated. Fourthly, the mathematical formalism reflecting the unity of three metaphysical principles has now been proposed. Its foundations were laid in the theories of physical structures by Yu.I. Kulakov et al. Finally, fifthly, shown are basic results of applying the theory of binary systems of complex relations to solve the problems of microworld physics.

Базовые категории и принципы реляционной физики

Жилкин Андрей Георгиевич

In the paper the analysis of the main paradigms of theoretical physics is considered using general ideas of metaphysical nature. The author notes the fact that in addition to well-known in modern physics geometric and quantum paradigms there should exist a third relational paradigm. Meta-physical analysis allows us to outline the relational theory and describe the hypothetical nature of the basic categories on which it is based. Possible consequences of relational physics are discussed.

PHYSICAL AND SUB-PHYSICAL PARADIGMS

V. F. Panov

Promising tasks in three dualistic metaphysical paradigms are noted. The prospects of the relational-statistical interpretation (interpretation) of quantum mechanics are indicated. In relational physics, the importance of studying the possibility of controlling gravity due to an electromagnetic field is noted. In the field-theoretic approach, it is necessary to investigate the possibility of developing a gauge theory of time. A way of constructing the geometry of praspinors based on unary systems of complex relations is proposed. The hypothesis of pre-physical reality and the prospect of creating binary geometrosubphysics are discussed.

METARELATIONAL APPROACH TO FOUNDATIONS OF FUNDAMENTAL PHYSICS

Yu. S. Vladimirоv

The article is devoted to presentation of fundamentals of the metarelational paradigm based on metaphysical principles and aimed at joining the principles of three dualistic physical paradigms in the context of the relational approach. The problems of utmost importance, solvable in the framework of the metarelational approach are shown. Among these are: evidence of spinor description of particles in quantum electrodynamics; an algebraic formulation of the atomic theory; revealing the sources of the origin of classical space-time concepts; a new approach to justification of types and the properties of elementary particles involved in strong interactions; the relational approach to atomic nuclei structure description; the description of going from a prototype to the present concepts of classical space-time; a dualistic relational interpretation of classical physics; an approach to the nature of gravitational interactions alternative to General Relativity.

PRE-PHYSICAL REALITY AND RELATIONAL PHYSICS

V. F. Panov

The concept of substantive-relational “paradigm relativity-complementarity” is being developed. «Pre-physical reality» is introduced as monistic Supercategory. It is justified that it is reasonable to consider discrete complex relations and p -adic complex relations in relational physics. It is pointed out that it is important to find a way to control gravity through electromagnetic interaction. The features of quantum theory in the relational paradigm have been considered.

The Structure of Reality, or Where to Find the Final Theory?

Alexander D Panov

The main objective of the present article is the methodological analysis of the structures of physical theories that could apply to the theory of quantum gravitation or the unifi ed theory of all interactions (other terms are the “Final Theory” or “the Theory of Everything”, TOE). In the fi rst step of this discussion, it is shown that, unlike widely believed, quantum theory, in principle, allows representation by local classical hidden variables. The possibility of such representation is proved by the possibility of an exhaustive simulation of quantum systems by means of a local and classical device — the computer equipment plays a role of the local classical hidden variables. Details regarding the realization of such a representation are discussed using the example of an actual computer program simulating a correlation experiment using Eeinstein-Podolsky-Rozen pairs. This example explicitly violates the theorems of impossibility for hidden classical variables in quantum theory. The fact that these theorems ignore the possibility for a situation, which, in this article, is characterized as the splitting of the layers of reality, is the reason that a possible violation of the theorem of impossibility for hidden variables exists. There are two such layers in the computer example — a reality layer where computer equipment exists, and a layer for simulated quantum reality. The analysis of this example results in a general idea about the layers of reality, which are the main subject of the subsequent discussion. The computer example plays a role of the existence theorem. It follows that, in principle, a fundamental local and classical structure may exist behind physical quantum reality. However, such a “local realism” leads to the idea that an immense “space container” exists for classical objects of such a layer of reality. The problem is overcome if the fundamental ontology is classical, but nonlocal. Then, a space container for it is not required. It is shown that such a classical, but nonlocal, structure is very similar to a formal mathematical system. It leads to a thought that the ideal mathematical system can be a fundamental ontology of the TOE, or it is reminiscent of something beyond mathematics — a nonreducible pseudomathematical structure. In this regard, the analysis of the nature of mathematics is given. It is shown that mathematics are not only a result of the imagination of people, but that mathematical forms and all mathematics holistically exist objectively. Moreover, the statement about the objective existence of mathematical forms has an empirical status based on Popper’s criterion of falsifi ability. It transfers a question of objectivity for mathematics from the fi eld of philosophy to the fi eld of empirical science. Then, a connection on the bases of mathematics and physics is established — namely, with the existence of the classical sector of quantum theory and with a causal structure of space-time. In this sense, the existing mathematics are not only objective, but they also possess physics. That is, mathematics, in a sense, is a thing but it is not a thought, and this quality can be considered as an objective layer of reality that can be a substrate of the physical world. In the fi nal part of this paper, several modern directions in the quantum gravity theory or TOE (string theory, loop quantum gravity, and causal sets) are considered regarding, as far as these theories are concerned, the formation of an abstract mathematical substratum. It is shown that the tendency to develop a of structure like an abstract mathematical substratum defi nitely exists. This means that a TOE can be not just a physical theory, but rather an abstract mathematical structure

The Historical Logic on the Basic Theory of Physics—A Summary on the Cosmic Continuum Theory

Xijia Wang

Any scientific system has a unified basic theory. But physics has no unified basic theory in the modern sense. Classical mechanics, relativity and quantum mechanics have their own basic concepts, categories and principles, so none of them can be regarded as true basic theories of physics. Cosmic Continuum Theory holds that the continuity and discreteness of the universe are fundamental issues related to the unification of physics. Because the contradiction between quantum non-locality and local reality is the fundamental obstacle to the unification of physics, while locality and non-locality correspond to the continuity and discreteness of physical reality respectively. The cosmic continuum theory introduces mathematical continuum and axiomatic ideas to reconstruct the basic theory of physics, and by the correspondence of existence and its dimensions to achieve the unification of the essence of physical reality, by introducing the cosmic continuum hypothesis to achieve the unification of the continuity and discreteness of physical reality, by introducing axiomatic methods to achieve formal unification of the foundations on physics. From the perspective of Cosmic Continuum, classical mechanics, relativity and quantum mechanics are no longer the basic theories of physics, but three branch theories of physics that are respectively applicable to macroscopic, cosmoscopic and microcosmic systems.
