Design Method of Meta Operators Based on Equivalence Class Distribution

Guoqiang Shu, Yangyang Fei, Zongjiang Yi +3 more

Abstract Currently, there are many physical systems for quantum computing and to adapt to the physical characteristics of different systems, engineers have designed different basic gate groups for gate circuit calculation models. The quantum algorithm realizes the evolution of the quantum state by applying unitary operators to the quantum states, and the results are obtained by measuring the outputs. These operators will be done in the corresponding physical system by compiling and decomposing into hardware supported basic gates. Universal fundamental gates can construct all quantum algorithms, but their computational efficiency is limited. Drawing on the idea of meta operators in classical machine learning, by constructing a deep learning framework for deep learning models, the common computational logic of operators in different deep learning frameworks is abstracted as ‘meta operators’ [1, 2]. This article aims to study and propose the common computational logic of quantum computing with geometric equivalence class distribution methods, using the volume size of the equivalence class space as a performance indicator for meta operators and identifying the optimal meta operators to optimize the depth of the circuits in the experiments. Which proves the effectiveness of the design method proposed and provides solutions for quantum circuit optimization and dedicated gate design.

Design of A Hardware Description Language Based Quantum Circuit Simulator

Amlan Chakrabarti, Susmita Sur‐Kolay, Sudhindu Bikash Mandal

Abstract-Quantum theory of computation establishes that there are problems for which quantum algorithms are far more efficient than their classical counterpart. Advances in quantum computing have initiated the design of systems based on quantum logic gates. Quantum computer hardware being primarily available in research laboratories at present, it mandates the ability to design, develop and test quantum logic operations by simulation of quantum logic circuits on classical computers. In this paper, we have defined a programming model for the design of a quantum circuit simulator, which can simulate a given quantum circuit obeying the rules of quantum gate operations. The quantum gate operations on both pure and superposed quantum states are being done with the help of effective data structures. The proposed quantum circuit simulator also incorporates the simulation of quantum circuit error under the action of certain quantum faults.

Performance Analysis of 16-Bit qALU using Reversible Logic Gates with QCA for Quantum Processors

Rajinder Tiwari, Anand Kumar Gupta, Tripuresh Joshi, Sunil Semwal

The NAND, NOT, and NOR logic gates which are utilised to realise the hardware modules of the system, are examples of basic classical logic gates that make up the hardware basics of electronic circuit systems. In addition to this, a useful system has been described for designing and implementing quantum processors by using reversible logic gates to analyse the performance of ALUs. Additionally, it shows that QCA might be used in quantum computers, assuming that the underlying technology can be made workable. When considering energy-efficient computations, reversible or information-lossless circuits are crucial for digital signal processing, communication, computer graphics, and cryptography. By preventing information loss, reversible logic is utilised to lessen the power dissipation that occurs in classical circuits, which is particularly promising because it allows for extremely low power computations like nano-computing for quantum processors. Because bits of information are lost during logic operations, typical digital circuits waste a lot of energy. It is well known that an Arithmetic and Logical Unit is one of the most fundamental operational units in the quantum processor (ALU). The design and implementation of an innovative r/q 16-bit ALU that improves the overall performance of quantum processors while carrying out the task in the digital signal processing domain are discussed in this study. When reversible gates were used in place of logic gates, the power dissipation in terms of information bit loss was significantly reduced. Simulation of these circuits is done by QCA Designer tool and language used for programming is very high-speed hardware integrated circuit hardware descriptive language, Verilog HDL. The power and delay analysis of the various sub modules is performed and a comparison with the traditional circuits is also carried out. The designed ALU has better efficiency as it has less power loses and reduction in power loss upto 39 % is obtained.
