Combinatorial point for higher spin loop models

Abstract

Integrable loop models associated with higher representations (spin k/2) of U_q(sl(2)) are investigated at the point q=-e^{i\pi/(k+2)}. The ground state eigenvalue and eigenvectors are described. Introducing inhomogeneities into the models allows to derive a sum rule for the ground state entries.

Sum rules for the ground states of the O(1) loop model on a cylinder and the XXZ spin chain

Philippe Di Francesco, Paul Zinn-Justin, Jean-Bernard Zuber

The sums of components of the ground states of the O(1) loop model on a cylinder or of the XXZ quantum spin chain at Delta=-1/2 (of size L) are expressed in terms of combinatorial numbers. The methods include the introduction of spectral parameters and the use of integrability, a mapping from size L to L+1, and knot-theoretic skein relations.

qKZ equation and ground state of the O(1) loop model with open boundary conditions

Luigi Cantini A

We consider the qKZ equations based on the two boundaries Temperley Lieb algebra. We construct their solution in the case s = q −3/2 using a recursion relation. At the combinatorial point q 1/2 = e −2i/3 the solution reduces to the ground state of the dense O(1) loop model on a strip with open boundary conditions. We present an alternative construction of such ground state based on the knowledge of the ground state of the same model with mixed boundary conditions and prove that the sum rule as of its components is given by the product of four symplectic characters.

qKZ equations and ground state of the O(1) loop model with open boundary conditions

Luigi Cantini A

We consider the qKZ equations based on the two boundaries Temperley Lieb algebra. We construct their solution in the case $s=q^{-3/2}$ using a recursion relation. At the combinatorial point $q^{1/2}= e^{-2πi/3}$ the solution reduces to the ground state of the dense O(1) loop model on a strip with open boundary conditions. We present an alternative construction of such ground state based on the knowledge of the ground state of the same model with mixed boundary conditions and prove that the sum rule as of its components is given by the product of four symplectic characters.

An integrablesl(2|1) vertex model for the spin quantum Hall critical point

R. M. Gade

An integrable vertex model associated to the Lie superalgebra sl (2|1) is constructed for the description of the spin quantum Hall critical phase. The model involves R -matrix solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation with respect to both the vector representation of sl (2|1) and its dual and an inhomogenity in the spectral parameters. On the torus the model can be mapped onto a Chalker-Coddington-type network model.

Q-operators in the six-vertex model

Vladimir V. Mangazeev

In this paper we continue the study of Q-operators in the six-vertex model and its higher spin generalizations. In [1] we derived a new expression for the higher spin R-matrix associated with the affine quantum algebra Uq(sl(2)ˆ). Taking a special limit in this R-matrix we obtained new formulas for the Q-operators acting in the tensor product of representation spaces with arbitrary complex spin. Here we use a different strategy and construct Q-operators as integral operators with factorized kernels based on the original Baxter's method used in the solution of the eight-vertex model. We compare this approach with the method developed in [1] and find the explicit connection between two constructions. We also discuss a reduction to the case of finite-dimensional representations with (half-)integer spins.
