Research Paper: Investigation of the Relationship of the Degree of Mixedness and Entanglement of the Bipartite Spin Coherent States

Abstract

In this work, superposition of spin coherent states composed of two qubits is formed and by calculating the geometric measure of mixing of the system introduced in this work, the degree of mixedness of the studied state is investigated. In the following, the changes in the entanglement of the introduced state are studied by using the negativity measure. Finally, by drawing the appropriate plots, according to the influential parameters in this system, we examine the maximum and the minimum of the changes in the mixedness and entanglement and also their relationship to the mixed system consisting of two-qubit spin coherent states. It was observed that for maximizing α, when the changes of parameters indicate the purity of the state, the entanglement of the system reaches its maximum value for two-qubit systems. Also, for all values of coherence parameter, the entanglement decreases when mixedness of the system increases.

Research Paper: The Entanglement of Three-mode Spin Coherent States

Kaveh Pasandideh, Nasibollah Doustimotlagh

In this study, the detection method of entanglement of 3-mode spin coherence states is investigated. For this purpose, by properly defining the computational codes, these states are mapped to a three qubit quantum state, and then, by using the Mermin- Kalyshko inequality, the entanglement of these states is studied and an analytical relationship to determine the entanglement region is presented. The results of numerical analysis of the extracted inequality show that the entanglement region of these states depends on the coherence parameters, the amount of spin as well as the phase of the states. For example, in the case where the values of the coherence parameters are equal but with opposite signs, by adjusting the coherence phase, the degree of entanglement can be controlled such that the maximum entanglement occurs . More important, as the value of spin increases, the allowable range of the coherence parameter for entanglement detection increases. These results are consistent with the data reported in the study of the degree of entanglement of 2-mode superposition of spin coherent states using other measures and criteria of entanglement. The findings of this study can be used in the study of non-classical and quantum systems and quantum correlations in quantum information science.

MAXIMIZING GENUINE MULTIPARTITE ENTANGLEMENT OF N MIXED QUBITS

SHANTANU AGARWAL, Seyed Mohammad Hashemi Rafsanjani

Beyond the simplest case of bipartite qubits, the composite Hilbert space of multipartite systems is largely unexplored. In order to explore such systems, it is important to derive analytic expressions for parameters which characterize the system's state space. Two such parameters are the degree of genuine multipartite entanglement and the degree of mixedness of the system's state. We explore these two parameters for an N-qubit system whose density matrix has an X form. We derive the class of states that has the maximum amount of genuine multipartite entanglement for a given amount of mixedness. We compare our results with the existing results for the N = 2 case. The critical amount of mixedness above which no N-qubit X-state possesses genuine multipartite entanglement is derived. It is found that as N increases, states with higher mixedness can still be entangled.

Entanglement of General Two-Qubit States in a Realistic Framework

S. Abdel‐Khalek, K. Berrada, Eied Mahmoud Khalil +1 more

In the present paper, we examine the quantum entanglement for more general states of two-qubit system in the context of spin coherent states (SCSs). We consider the concurrence as a quantifier of entanglement and express it in terms of SCSs. We determine new set of maximally entangled conditions that provide the maximal amount of entanglement for certain values of the amplitudes of SCSs for the case of pure states. Finally, we examine the entanglement of a class of mixed states of the two qubits and provide the range in which the entanglement value is maximal with respect to the values of the amplitudes of SCSs.

Degree of Entanglement and Violation of Bell Inequality by Two-Spin-1/2 States

K. Berrada, Y. Hassouni, Hichem Eleuch

Bell inequality is violated by the quantum mechanical predictions made from an entangled state of the composite system. In this paper we examine this inequality and entanglement measures in the construction of the coherent states for two-qubit pure and mixed states. we find a link to some entanglement measures through some new parameters (amplitudes of coherent states). Conditions for maximal entanglement and separability are then established for both pure and mixed states. Finally, we analyze and compare the violation of Bell inequality for a class of mixed states with the degree of entanglement by applying the formalism of Horodecki et al.

Entanglement of bipartite partly non-orthogonal 1 2 -spin coherent states

Mostafa Mansour, Zakaria Dahbi

Abstract We investigate the entanglement of a bipartite partly non-orthogonal state of the form | ϕ ⟩ = u | ξ ⟩ 1 ⊗ | 1 ⟩ 2 + v | ξ ⟩ 1 ⊗ | 0 ⟩ 2 + w | ξ ′ ⟩ 1 ⊗ | 1 ⟩ 2 + z | ξ ′ ⟩ 1 ⊗ | 0 ⟩ 2 through 1 2 -spin coherent states by adopting the concurrence as a measure to quantify the degree of entanglement of the two-qubit system. After, we study the amount of entanglement of mixed states represented by a statistical mixture of partly non-orthogonal bipartite pure states. We also express the lower and upper bounds of the squared concurrence of mixed states in terms of the amplitudes of spin coherent states.

Maximally coherent mixed states: Complementarity between maximal coherence and mixedness

Uttam Singh, Manabendra Nath Bera, Himadri Shekhar Dhar +1 more

Quantum coherence is a key element in topical research on quantum resource theories and a primary facilitator for design and implementation of quantum technologies. However, the resourcefulness of quantum coherence is severely restricted by environmental noise, which is indicated by the loss of information in a quantum system, measured in terms of its purity. In this work, we derive the limits imposed by the mixedness of a quantum system on the amount of quantum coherence that it can possess. We obtain an analytical trade-off between the two quantities that upperbound the maximum quantum coherence for fixed mixedness in a system. This gives rise to a class of quantum states, ``maximally coherent mixed states,'' whose coherence cannot be increased further under any purity-preserving operation. For the above class of states, quantum coherence and mixedness satisfy a complementarity relation, which is crucial to understand the interplay between a resource and noise in open quantum systems.
