Abstract

Abstract In order to handle the safety problems in mobile communication systems, a mobile identity authentication scheme based on QKD and IBE is proposed. First, the quantum key distribution technology is introduced to handle the safety problems between the private key generator and the cloud services. Next, the IBE algorithm is introduced to encrypt IMSI which makes the scheme more flexible and more efficient. Finally, the quantum time parameter is proposed to manage users’ secret key. Comparing with the existing schemes, the proposed scheme can make full use of the advantages of the QKD and IBE. The mobile identity authentication scheme based on QKD and IBE can be more safe and more efficient.

Zhu Dexin, Xiaohui Li, Jianan Wu +1 more

In view of the safety problem of current mobile security payment encryption schemes, this paper proposed a quantum key-based MSP (mobile security payment) scheme.First, this scheme introduced quantum encryption technology to solve the symmetric key problem between the payment platform server and the commercial supermarket server. Then, the quantum key was safely obtained and the QR (quick response) code was generated by using the proposed quantum key gateway. Finally, the mobile device finished the payment according to the one-time pad encryption scheme.Compared with the existing schemes, the proposed scheme can fully employ the advantages of quantum encryption technology. It can also resist multiple security threats by using the quantum key gateway.Under the real quantum key distribution and quantum key gateway environment, the feasibility and effectiveness of this scheme were proven by experimental results.

An IBE scheme based on hybrid sampler over NTRU lattice

Shiyu Wang, Haiying Gao, Yang Song +2 more

The identity-based encryption (IBE) scheme takes the user's identity as the public key, which avoids the disadvantages of digital certificate management. Lattice-based IBE scheme has the advantages of resistant to quantum attack, high efficiency and simple structure, and has become a research hotspot in the field of post-quantum information security. In this paper, an IBE scheme is designed based on NTRU lattice, and the hybrid sampling algorithm proposed by Ducas and Prest is used in the private key extraction algorithm of the scheme, which improves the implementation efficiency of the key generation algorithm while ensuring the security of the private key. The encryption and decryption algorithm of the IBE scheme is designed by using the framework structure of the encryption algorithm based on the LWE problem. Under the condition that the NTRU difficulty hypothesis and the LWE difficulty hypothesis hold simultaneously, the scheme is proved to have indistinguishability under chosen plaintext attack with identity-based encryption (IND-ID-CPA). The software implementation of the scheme and the efficiency under the specific parameter settings are given, and the experimental results show that the new scheme has higher encryption and decryption efficiency and shorter ciphertext length than the typical lattice IBE scheme.

Enhanced Security with Quantum Key Distribution and Blockchain for Digital Identities

Engin Zeydan, Luis Blanco, Josep Mangues‐Bafalluy +5 more

As evolving digital ecosystems become increasingly interconnected and reliant on digital transactions, secure, private and user-centric identity solutions are garnering more spotlight than ever before. In this paper, we propose an innovative architecture that integrates quantum key distribution (QKD) with blockchain-based self-sovereign identity (SSI) systems for secure key distribution and network/user management for mobile networks with advanced 6G network capabilities. The proposed approach leverages the advanced security guarantes of QKD to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of communications and uses the decentralized and immutable nature of blockchain technology to give individuals/organizations control over their digital identities in mobile environments. We then go on to expound on the foundations of architectural components and discuss its implications for various telecom specific services and applications. Finally, we present challenges and future directions to provide quantum communication support against future digital threats and a decentralized framework for identity management with the global pursuit of more privacy-friendly and usercentric digital services, and offer comparisons with traditional approaches.

The Improvement of QKD Scheme Based on BB84 Protocol

Huifang Li, Li-Xin Zhu, Kai Wang +1 more

In order to solve the low key distribution efficiency problem of the BB84 protocol, an improved BB84 quantum key distribution scheme is presented in this paper. Firstly the same polarization basis is used by the sender and the receiver with the consistent agreement. This process could make quantum key distribution rate higher. Then signature combined with the error correction method based on the odd and even parity is used to ensure the safety of the transmission. The analyses results indicate that the advantage of the improved scheme lies in that the all photons sent to Bob by Alice are useful. It can not only reduce the time extracting the original key, but also solve the authentication problem in the process of communication. The key distribution efficiency is two times of the original BB84 protocol improved scheme.

Research on Vehicle-to-Cloud Communication Based on Lightweight Authentication and Extended Quantum Key Distribution

Teng Cheng, Zexu Wu, Chuansu Wang +3 more

The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) technology has recently emerged as a popular area of research, and vehicle-to-cloud communication forms the basis of the IoV. This process involves uploading a large amount of information related to the vehicle and its location. The security of vehicle-to-cloud communication thus has a significant impact on the safety of the IoV. This paper proposes a vehicle-to-cloud communication system based on lightweight authentication and extended Quantum Key Distribution. The system supports the wireless distribution of session keys between vehicles and the Quantum Cloud Server (QCS) by using a WAN (Wide Area Network), and supports the wired transmission of quantum keys between the QCS and the Telematics Service Provider (TSP) through a LAN (Local Area Network) by using the BB84 protocol. The system can implement encrypted communication based on quantum physical security in a hybrid network. Moreover, we propose a lightweight identity authentication scheme. An analysis of its performance shows that the proposed system requires a small amount of computation and incurs a low communication overhead. This scheme is applicable to most Internet devices with low computing and communication capacity, and can potentially be used in the IoV framework. We conducted simulations of the proposed system and experiments to test its performance. The maximum average delay in communication in experiments was 40.681 ms and the maximum rate of packet loss was 0.1222%. The proposed system can thus ensure safe and efficient IoV communication.
