Abstract

The present study investigates the transient spectrum (TS) of a two-level system that interacts with a generalized squeezed state without using the rotating wave approximation (RWA). We consider the purity of the optical field, which is developed in a generalized squeezed state, utilizing the linear entropy. The analytic expressions of the TS and field purity (FP) of the bipartite system are evaluated. Moreover, the study exhibits the influence of the squeezed parameter and some photons transition on the TS and FP. We obtain that the control of the FP may be generated based on an adequate choice of the photons transition and squeezed parameter. Such results can be utilized in the understanding and development of various tasks of quantum physics and optics.

Quantum purity exchange dynamics in a qubit–resonator system subject to squeezed-vacuum driving

This work presents a theoretical framework to study the non-Markovian dynamics of a two-level quantum emitter interacting with a broadband squeezed electromagnetic reservoir, and both one- and two-photon interaction processes are incorporated. Mathematical modeling uses a time-convolution less projection operator technique. This yields a time-local master equation. The coefficients of this equation are derived from integrals over the reservoir's squeezed correlation functions: and . The model is validated through rigorous numerical simulation of the resulting dynamical equations. Testing involves computing key physical observables: the transient emission spectrum and the field linear entropy . These predictions are systematically analyzed against variations in squeezing parameters , coupling strengths , and detector bandwidth . The results confirm that the model successfully captures phase-dependent decoherence, spectral modulation, and purity oscillations. Notably, two-photon processes suppress decoherence under strong squeezing. The consistency between analytical derivations and numerical outcomes validates the framework. It is established as a predictive tool for quantum optics in engineered nonclassical environments. This study directly connects engineered reservoir properties specifically its nonclassical photon statistics to observable, time-dependent quantum phenomena. The findings offer fundamental insights and a predictive tool for quantum control, sensing, and information processing in tailored electromagnetic environments.

Study of Squeezing Properties in a Two-level System

Rui-hua Xie, Gong-ou Xu, Dun-huan Liu

We have studied the squeezing properties of a field and atom in a two-level system. The influence of nonlinear interactions (Le. the arbitrary intensity-dependent coupling of a single-mode field to a single two-level atom, the nonlinear interaction of the field with a nonlinear Kerr-like medium) on the squeezing is discussed in detail in the rotating wave approximation (RWA). We show numerically that the effect of the virtual-photon field suppresses dipole squeezing predicted in the RWA and leads to an increased squeeze revival period; the suppressed squeezing can be revived due to the presence of the nonlinear Kerr-like medium.

The statistic properties of photons in a system of two-mode squeezed vacuum field interacting with a two-level atom are studied without the rotating-wave approximation by means of quantum theory, and the influence of the virtual-photon process on the statistic properties of photons is discussed emphatically. The results obtained using a numerical method indicate that the influence of the virtual-photon process on the statistic properties of photons qives rise to quantum chaos, that is related to the initial state parameters of the system.

Quantum effects in two-qubit systems interacting with two-mode fields: Dissipation and dipole-dipole interplay effects

We explore two coupled dipole qubits interacting with two-mode cavity fields through non-degenerate two-photon processes and under the influence of intrinsic noise. Our investigation is based on the influence of the coupling constants between different constituents of the system on the quantum coherence and entropy squeezing. We investigate the phase space information, entanglement, and purity via the Husimi function. It is found that the robustness of the positivity and the negativity of the superposition of generalized coherent state is highly sensitive to the coupling constants. The phase space quantum information, the matter-light entanglement, and the stationary mixture state can be controlled by the two-qubit coupling as well as the coupling to the environment. The effect of the intrinsic dissipation and the two-qubit coupling on the generated squeezing via the qubit-system variable squeezing or the entropy squeezing is investigated. They lead to revoke the squeezing phenomenon.

Information Entropy Squeezing of a Two-Level Atom Interacting with Two-Mode Coherent Fields

LIUXiao-Juan, Xiao-Juan, Fang +1 more

From a quantum information point of view we investigate the entropy squeezing properties for a two-level atom interacting with the two-mode coherent fields via the two-photon transition. We discuss the influences of the initial state of the system on the atomic information entropy squeezing. Our results show that the squeezed component number, squeezed direction, and time of the information entropy squeezing can be controlled by choosing atomic distribution angle, the relative phase between the atom and the two-mode field, and the difference of the average photon number of the two field modes, respectively. Quantum information entropy is a remarkable precision measure for the atomic squeezing.
