The security of quantum cryptography

Justin C. Miller

A common desire in today's world is that of security. Whether it is keeping your e-mail private or stopping the government from hacking into your computer, the idea behind cryptography is to communicate between two parties in different locations, and to secure this information from outsiders. During the last half century there have been numerous advances in encryption schemes and also in the machines that process such information. Modern encryption algorithms have become increasingly more complex with advances in computers and technology, and encryption algorithms such as RSA and DES have been presented as algorithms that have remained secure for decades. These recent advances in encryption schemes will be examined in the first part of this paper. On the other hand, because the security of classical ciphers relies on the secrecy of a key, advances in research and computing may begin to compromise the security of these cryptosystems, as quantum computers would be capable of mathematical calculations that could break many modern encryption algorithms. Unlike classical cryptosystems, quantum cryptography obeys the laws of quantum physics, resulting in a much stronger, provable security. Many great advances have come in recent decades, and the latter part of this paper deals with these advances as well as the phenomena of quantum physics, the evolution of quantum computing, and the study of quantum cryptography.

A comprehensive survey: Quantum cryptography

Mohammed Moizuddin, Joy Winston, Mohammed S. Qayyum

Internet has become a global means of communication, turned our reality upside down. It has transformed communications, to the level that it is now our chosen standard of communication. Although there are many ways to protect information from undesired access, Quantum cryptography can be used to unconditionally secure data communications by applying the laws of quantum physics which overcomes the drawbacks of traditional classical cryptography, which depends on mathematical methods to limit attacks such as eavesdroppers. Quantum cryptography is considered to be a future replica of classical cryptography. In this survey paper, we will discuss about various protocols of cryptography. Also discussing about their vulnerabilities.

A Comprehensive Study of Quantum Cryptographic Techniques

Cutting edge cryptography calculations are based over the crucial prepare of figuring expansive integrability into their primes, which is said to be "INTRACTABLE".But advanced cryptography is powerless to both innovative advance of computing control and advancement in arithmetic to rapidly switch one-way capacities such as that of calculating expansive integrability. So, the arrangement is to present quantum material science into cryptography, which lead to assessment of quantum cryptography.Quantum cryptography is one of the rising subjects in the field of computer industry. This paper center on quantum cryptography and how this innovation contributes esteem to a defense-in-depth technique relating to totally secure key dispersion. The scope of this paper covers the shortcomings of advanced advanced cryptosystems, the crucial concepts of quantum cryptography, the real-world execution of this innovation along with its impediments, and at long last the future course in which the quantum cryptography is headed towards. We portray comes about from an device and convention that is planned to execute the quantum key dissemination by which two clients who share no mystery data (without having any private or open keys known some time recently hand) at first trade a arbitrary quantum transmission comprising of exceptionally black out flashes of polarized light.

A Survey on Various Aspects of Quantum Cryptography

Rajesh Kumar Pateriya, Dr.J.L. Rana, Anupriya Gupta

In the era of information technology the need for secure communication has become increasingly important. Cryptography is a technology for creating the core of information security we use cryptography for making data secure which is the science of information protection from unauthorized interception and tempering. Most modern cryptographic studies design cryptosystems and algorithms using mathematical concepts which are based either on factorization or on discrete logarithm problem. In recent years quantum information research has lead to the discovery of a number of remarkable new paradigms for information processing and communication. These developments include quantum cryptography schemes that offer unconditionally secure information transport guaranteed by quantum-mechanical laws, which provide protection of system security, and optimization of system efficiency and detects intrusion and wiretap. Today quantum cryptography is used in various application for transferring secure data without the fear of keys being compromised. This paper reviews the various areas where quantum  cryptography is successfully implemented, its advantages disadvantages & technical issues.

Quantum cryptography: Overview, security issues and future challenges

Saptarshi Mitra, Bappaditya Jana, Supratim Bhattacharya +2 more

In recent years Quantum Cryptography gets more attention as well as becomes most promising cryptographic field for faster, effective and more secure communications. Quantum Cryptography is an art of science which overlap quantum properties of light under quantum mechanics on cryptographic task instead of current state of algorithms based on mathematical computing technology. Major algorithms for public key encryption and some digital signature scheme such as RSA, El Gamal cryptosystem, hash function are vulnerable at quantum adversaries. Most of the factoring problem can be broken by Shore's algorithm and quantum computer threatens other hand discrete logarithm problem. Our paper describes why modern cryptography contributes quantum cryptography, security issues and future goals of modern cryptography.

Quantum Cryptography in the Post-Quantum Era: Threats, Algorithms, and Implementation Challenges

Luca Romano

Quantum cryptography, a branch of cryptography that leverages the principles of quantum mechanics, has emerged as a critical field in the face of the looming quantum computing threat to classical cryptographic systems. This paper explores the current landscape of quantum cryptography, focusing on the threats posed by quantum computers, the development and evaluation of post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, and the challenges associated with their implementation. We provide a comprehensive overview of the theoretical and practical aspects of quantum cryptography, including quantum key distribution (QKD), quantum-resistant algorithms, and the integration of these technologies into existing communication infrastructures. The paper also discusses the future directions and potential advancements in the field, highlighting the importance of continued research and collaboration to ensure the security of cryptographic systems in the post-quantum era
