Abstract

Abstract A scheme is addressed to generate the macroscopic entanglement and the output squeezing of optomechanical system with a single four-level atom. Applying the logarithmic negativity to measure entanglement, we analyze the effect of the coupling strength between the cavity and the atom on the entanglement of the cavity and the movable mirror. It is found that the robustness of the entanglement is enhanced with increasing of atom-cavity coupling, and the entanglement has a valley around when Δ is equal to ω m . Furthermore, we also analyze the output entanglement. The results show that the frequency of the mirror oscillation and the Rabi frequency of laser field affect the output squeezing spectrum.

Transfer and preservation of entanglement in a hybrid optomechanical system

Qiankun Zhang, Xiangyang Zhang, Lianzhen Liu

We propose a scheme for entangling a movable mirror and two atomic ensembles in a coupled hybrid optomechanical system. Using the logarithmic negativity for the entanglement measure, we analyze the effect of the coupling strength between the two cavities on the entanglement of the movable mirror and the atomic ensembles, and we analyze the effect of the atom-cavity coupling constant on the entanglement of the movable mirror and the atomic ensembles. It is found that the entanglements of the movable mirror with one atomic ensemble transfer to the movable mirror with another atomic ensemble, and the robustness of the entanglement is enhanced by the coupling between the two cavities. The entanglements between the movable mirror and atomic ensembles are enhanced together with atom-cavity coupling increasing, and the entanglements have maxima in the accessibly parameters regime of the atom-cavity coupling constant.

Caiyu Zhang

A scheme to generate entanglement in a cavity optomechanical system filled with atomic medium was proposed. If the coupling between the cavity field and atom medium is suitable, the entanglement is obtained between the cavity and movable mirror, between the mirror and atom,as well as between the cavity mode and atom.Furthermore, numerical solutions are given by employing logarithmic negativity to quantify the entanglement including the cavity losses.

Effects of a driven atomic ensemble on the entanglement and output spectrum of the optomechanical system

Burabigul Yakup, Yi-Fang Ren, Mamat Ali Bake +1 more

Abstract This paper considers an indirect driving model of a cavity QED system in which the left cavity wall consists of a large ensemble of two-level atoms driven by a classical laser field at a specific resonant frequency, inducing an effective driving for the optomechanical system. We investigate the effects of the atomic ensemble on the output intensity squeezing spectrum and the entanglement between the optical and mechanical modes. Our results show that both the coupling between the atomic ensemble and the cavity mode and the excitation level of the atomic ensemble significantly influence the output spectrum and the entanglement. The theoretical model presented in this paper may provide deeper insight into the mechanisms governing correlations and squeezing spectra in conventional optomechanical systems.

Entanglement of movable mirror and cavity field enhanced by an optical parametric amplifier

Caiyun Zhang, Hu Li, Guixia Pan +1 more

A scheme to generate entanglement in a cavity optomechanical system filled with an optical parametric amplifier is proposed. With the help of the optical parametric amplifier, the stationary macroscopic entanglement between the movable mirror and the cavity field can be notably enhanced, and the entanglement increases when the parametric gain increases. Moreover, for a given parametric gain, the degree of entanglement of the cavity optomechanical system increases with increasing input laser power.

Entanglement characteristics of output optical fields in double-cavity optomechanics

Zhang Xiu-Long, Qian-Qian Bao, Yang Ming-Zhu +1 more

Radiation pressure in an optomechanical system can be used to generate various quantum entanglements between the subsystems. Recently, one paid more attention to the study of quantum entanglement in an optomechanical system. Here in this work, we study the properties of output entanglement between two filtered output optical fields by the logarithmic negativity method in a double-cavity optomechanical system. Our calculations show that the decay rate of the mechanical resonator, the bandwidth of filter function, and non-equal-coupling will evidently affect the value of the output entanglement. In particular, under the parameters of equal-coupling and zero filter bandwidth, the output entanglement in the vicinity of resonant frequency (=0 in the rotating frame) will decease with mechanical decay rate increasing. But under the parameters of equal-coupling and non-zero filter bandwidth, the output entanglement will be suppressed if the center frequency of output field is in the vicinity of the resonant frequency. However, the output entanglement can be enhanced if we adopt a non-equal-coupling to counteract the suppression effect of the filter bandwidth. Furthermore, we find that there are three peaks in the whole center frequency domain of the output field if we adopt strong non-equal-coupling. This is because the normal mode of Hamiltonian Hint will split into three normal modes in this case. Our results can also be used in other parametrically coupled three-mode bosonic systems and may be applied to realizing the state transfer process and quantum teleportation in an optomechanical system.
