Abstract

In this paper, we proposed and investigated the Hybrid TPSR Two-Way Half-Duplex (HD) Relaying Communication Networks Over Rayleigh Fading Channel in the presence of the Eavesdropper (E). The system model consists of two sources A and B communicate with each other with helping of intermediate Relay (R). For the system performance analysis, we analyzed and derived the exact and approximate integral-form of the system Non-zero secrecy probability (NZSP) in the case that the E uses the MRC (maximal ratio combining) technique. In addition, the effect of the main system parameters on the system performance is investigated. Finally, all the research results are convinced by the Monte Carlo Simulation. This paper can provide a novel recommendation for relaying communication network manufacture. In this paper, we proposed and investigated the Hybrid TPSR Two-Way Half-Duplex (HD) Relaying Communication Networks Over Rayleigh Fading Channel in the presence of the Eavesdropper (E). Security and Reliability Analysis of a Two-Way Half-Duplex Wireless Relaying Network Using Partial Relay Selection and Hybrid TPSR Energy Harvesting at Relay Nodes

Duy-Hung Ha, Tan Nhat Nguyen, Minh Hoang Quang Tran +3 more

In recent years, physical layer security has been considered as an effective method to enhance the information security beside the cryptographic techniques that are used in upper layers. In this paper, we provide the security analysis for a two-way relay network, where the two sources can only communicate through the intermediate relay nodes. In particular, we consider the scenario that there is an eavesdropper in the vicinity of one source node. Both reliability and security aspects are taken into consideration in our work. To enhance the reliability of communication, the intermediate relays are supplied with the energy harvested from the sources' radio frequency (RF) signals using hybrid time-switching and power splitting (TPSR) protocol. Also, we apply the relay selection technique to select the best relay for the information exchange between two sources. Regarding security, the secrecy of information is improved with the help of friendly jammers nearby the eavesdropper. We provide the in-dept reliability and security analysis in terms of the closed-form expressions of the outage probability (OP) at the source nodes, the intercept probability (IP) at the eavesdropper, the secrecy outage probability (SOP), and the average secrecy capacity (ASC) of the system. Finally, the Monte Carlo simulations are also conducted to verify the correctness of our analysis and the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Numerical results confirms that with the appropriate and feasible choices of involved parameters, both outage OP and IP can be kept at small values to guarantee the reliable and secure communication of the system.

Jammer against eavesdropper in half-duplex energy harvesting cooperative relaying networks: secrecy outage probability analysis

Phu Tran Tin, Duy-Hung Ha, Minh Hoang Quang Tran +1 more

In this paper, we have investigated the Half-Duplex (HD) Energy Harvesting (EH) Cooperative Relaying Networks with one source node, one destination node, one intermediate relay and in the presence of the Jammer Against Eavesdropper. We have analyzed the system performance in terms of the integral form expression of secrecy outage probability. In addition, we have investigated the effect of source rate, time switching factor, energy coefficient, and the ratio Ps/N0 on the system performance. Finally, all the mathematical, analytical expressions are verified by Monte Carlo simulation, and the analytical results match well with the simulation ones to convince the correctness of the analytical expression.

Secrecy Analysis on Half-Duplex Two-Way Relay Transmission UsingVarious Transmission Channels and Jamming Strategies

Mohammed Ahmed Salem, Azlan Bin Abd.Aziz, Mohamad Yusoff Alias +2 more

The open nature of the wireless networks makes them vulnerable to the eavesdropper attacks. Cooperative relay transmission is a popular method to prevent the attacks of the illegal nodes. This research proposes a cooperative jamming protocol to enhance the physical layer in wireless cooperative networks, where the destination sends a jamming signal to the eavesdropper node to degrade its channel capacity. Simulations of the secrecy performance metrics in terms of the secrecy capacity and secrecy outage probability are presented and discussed to measure the security level of the proposed jamming protocol. In this paper, different channels namely Rician fading, Rayleigh fading, and Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels are investigated in the half-duplex two-way relaying system to obtain the maximum secrecy performance. Based on the results, the highest secrecy capacity is achieved by using the Rician fading channel for transmission from the source to the destination and using the Rayleigh channel as the jamming link to degrade the eavesdropper capacity.

Physical layer security via maximal ratio combining and relay selection over Rayleigh fading channel

Tong Li, Tianyu Zhang, Bin Zhong +2 more

The impact of both maximal ratio combining (MRC) and relay selection on the physical layer security in wireless communication systems is studied by analyzing some important factors, including the probability characteristic of the legitimate receiver (Bob) and malicious eavesdropper (Eve)'s end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the secrecy outage probability, and the average secrecy channel capacity over Rayleigh fading Channel. We assume that Bob receives its data from both the relay and the source by cooperative communication, provided that MRC is employed at the receiver. Compared to the conventional MRC methods, a higher spatial diversity order can be exploited by performing relay selection in the proposed method, as validated via both theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. The theoretical closed-form expressions for some figures of merit, e.g., the secrecy outage probability and the average secrecy capacity, are all consistent with the numerical results.

Physical layer security in DF full-duplex relaying network: performance analysis

Phu Tran Tin, Tan Nhat Nguyen, Van-Duc Phan +1 more

In this letter, the system performance of the DF full-duplex (FD) Relaying communication network is investigated with Physical Layer Security (PLS). In this system model, the source (S) and the destination (D) communicate via a helping relay (R) in the presence of the Eavesdropper (E). From the system model, we derive the closed-form expressions for Intercept Probability (IP) and secrecy outage probability (SOP). For verifying the correctness of the analytical analysis, the Monte Carlo simulation is conducted. In addition, the influence of the main system parameter on the system performance is investigated. Finally, the results show that the analytical and the simulation values agree well with each other.
