Abstract

We have considered the Iwasawa and Gauss decompositions for the Lie group SL(2,R). According to these decompositions, the Casimir operators of the group and the Hamiltonians with position-dependent mass were expressed. Then, the unbound state solutions of the Schrödinger equations with position-dependent mass were given.

A squeeze-like operator approach to position-dependent mass in quantum mechanics

H. M. Moya-Cessa, Francisco Soto, Demetrios N. Christodoulides

We provide a squeeze-like transformation that allows one to remove a position dependent mass from the Hamiltonian. Methods to solve the Schrödinger equation may then be applied to find the respective eigenvalues and eigenfunctions. As an example, we consider a position-dependent-mass that leads to the integrable Morse potential and therefore to well-known solutions.

Coordinate Transformation and Exact Solutions of Schrödinger Equation with Position-Dependent Effective Mass

Ju Guo-Xing, Cai Chang-Ying, Xiang Yang +1 more

Using the coordinate transformation method, we solve the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation with position-dependent mass. The explicit expressions for the potentials, energy eigenvalues, and eigenfunctions of the systems are given. The eigenfunctions can be expressed in terms of the Jacobi, Hermite, and generalized Laguerre polynomials. All potentials for these solvable systems have an extra term V m , which is produced from the dependence of mass on the position, compared with those for the systems of constant mass. The properties of V m for several mass functions are discussed.

Investigation of the Dunkl-Schrödinger equation for Position Dependent Mass in the presence of a Lie algebraic approach

Parisa Sedaghatnia, HASSAN HASSANABADI, W. S. Chung +3 more

Recent studies have shown that the use of Dunkl derivatives instead of ordinary derivatives leads to deriving parity-dependent dynamic solutions. According to this motivation in this manuscript, we formulate the Dunkl-Schrödinger equation within the position-dependent mass formalism and derive an algebraic solution out of it. Our systematic approach lets us observe some new findings in addition to the earlier ones. For example, we find that the solution of the Dunkl-Schröodinger equation with position-dependent mass cannot be considered independent of the choice of parameters. Similarly, through the sl(2) algebra, the energy spectrum and the corresponding wave functions are derived in terms of possible Dunkl, ($μ$), and mass, ($α$), parameters.

Position-dependent mass oscillators and coherent states

Sara Cruz y Cruz, Óscar Rosas-Ortiz

The solving of the Schrodinger equation for a position-dependent mass quantum system is studied in two ways. First, it is found the interaction which must be applied on a mass m(x) in order to supply it with a particular spectrum of energies. Second, given a specific potential V(x) acting on the mass m(x), the related spectrum is found. The method of solution is applied to a wide class of position-dependent mass oscillators and the corresponding coherent states are constructed. The analytical expressions of such position-dependent mass coherent states preserve the functional structure of the Glauber states.

Scattering states of position-dependent mass Schrödinger equation with non central potential

M. Chabab, A. El Batoul, HASSAN HASSANABADI +2 more

In this paper, we study the time-independent Schrödinger equation within the formalism of position dependent effective mass. For a generalized decomposition of the non-central effective potential, the deformed Schrödinger equation can be easily solved analytically through separation of variables. The energy eigenvalues and the normalization constant of the radial wave functions are obtained, as well as the scattering phase shifts.

Series Solutions of the N-Dimensional Position-Dependent Mass Schrodinger Equation with a General Class of Potentials

Sameer M. Ikhdair, R. Sever

The analytical solutions of the N-dimensional Schrodinger equation with position-dependent mass for a general class of central potentials is obtained via the series expansion method. The position-dependent mass is expanded in series about origin. As a special case, the analytical bound-state series solutions and the recursion relation of the linear-plus-Coulomb (Cornell) potential with the decaying position-dependent mass m=m_{0}e^{-λr} are also found.
