Entanglement preservation in a system of two dipole–dipole interacting two-level atoms coupled with single mode cavity

Abstract

Abstract We address the problem of atom–atom entanglement dynamics control in a system of two different two-level atoms with dipole–dipole interaction coupled to a common single mode cavity with different coupling strengths. The control of entanglement dynamics is based on the parity kick method, and we use the antisymmetry properties of the Hamiltonian of the system to maintain atom–atom entanglement. We classify the possible controllable cases of this system. The control procedure is carried out with a sequence of cyclic evolution; accordingly, the entanglement of the system is protected for any given initial state with any desired precision and long duration.

Atomic motion and dipole–dipole effects on the stability of atom–atom entanglement in Markovian/non-Markovian reservoir

Sare Golkar, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, we consider the entanglement dynamics of two identical qubits (two-level atoms) accompanied by dipole–dipole interaction within a common reservoir in the strong and weak coupling regimes. We suppose that the qubits move in the reservoir which is at zero temperature. Using the time-dependent Schrödinger equation, the state vector of the qubits-reservoir system is obtained by which we can evaluate the concurrence as a suitable measure of entanglement between the two qubits. The results show that by choosing special initial conditions for the qubits, a different dynamical behavior of entanglement is visible in such a way that entanglement protection occurs. Also, we find that the qubit motion in the absence of dipole–dipole interaction leads to preservation or at least more slowly decay of entanglement. However, in the presence of dipole–dipole interaction with the movement of qubits, different results can be observed which depend on the initial states of the qubits, i.e. entanglement may or may not be protected.

Control of two-atom entanglement with two thermal fields in coupled cavities

Li-Tuo Shen, Zhen‐Biao Yang, Huai‐Zhi Wu +2 more

The dynamical evolution of a quantum system composed of two coupled cavities, each containing a two-level atom and a single-mode thermal field, is investigated under different conditions. The entanglement between the two atoms is controlled by the hopping strength and the detuning between the atomic transition and the cavities. We find that when the atomic transition is far off-resonant with both the eigenmodes of the coupled-cavity system, the maximally entangled state for the two atoms can be generated with the initial state in which one atom is in the ground state and the other is in the excited state. When both the two atoms are initially in the excited state, the entanglement exhibits periodical sudden birth and death. By choosing appropriate parameter values, the initial maximal entanglement of the two atoms can be frozen. The relation between the concurrence and the cooperative parameter is calculated.

The influence of the dipole-dipole interaction and atomic coherence on the entanglement of two atoms with degenerate two-photon transitions

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Michail S. Mastyugin

Entanglement of two artificial two-level atoms with degenerate two-photon transitions is considered in the case in which the atoms interact with the thermal single-mode field in an ideal cavity. The possibility of controlling the atomic entanglement degree in such a system due to the induction of atomic coherence and direct dipole-dipole interaction of atoms is shown.

Infiuence of dipole-dipole interaction on the transfer and preservation of quantum entanglement information

Dong Kang-jun

Using the method of time-evolution operator, the time evolution properties of the system of identical two-level atoms dipole interacting resonantly with a single-mode cavity field in detail by means of quantum theory is discused. The influence of dipole-dipole interaction on the transfer and preservation of quantum entanglement information is analyzed. The calculation and analysis indicates that the procedure of the swap and conservation of quantum information depends on the initial of the atoms. For W type atoms, the initial entangled information of atoms or photons are contpletely conserved under dipole-dipole interaction intensity satisfying some conditions. It appears also the phenomenon of part exchange and preservation besides some mix entangled states under different conditions. The dipole-dipole interaction doesn't effect on transfer and preservation for GHZ type atom entangled states.

Entanglement evolution of three interacting twolevel atoms within a common environment

封玲娟 FENG Ling-juan, Yun‐Jie Xia

Entanglement dynamical evolution of three two-level atoms coupled to a common environment is investigated. We utilize the tripartite negativity to quantify entanglement and analyze the effect of the initial state, pairwise dipole-dipole interactions on the entanglement dynamical properties of the system by means of numerical calculations. Results show that a novel quantum interference can be controlled by the relative phase of initially entangled states of the atoms. And the excited-state population can be trapped in the long time limit. Besides, the tripartite entanglement can be enhanced by choosing the appropriate conditions.

Entanglement dynamics of three interacting two-level atoms within a common structured environment

Nguyen Ba An, Jaewan Kim, Kisik Kim

We derive exact time evolution of three two-level atoms coupled to a common environment. The environment is structured and is modeled by a leaky cavity with Lorentzian spectral density. The atoms are initially prepared in a generalized $W$ state and later on experience pairwise dipole-dipole interactions and couplings to the cavity. We study tripartite disentangling and entangling dynamics as well as protecting bipartite entanglement with both atom-atom interactions and atom-cavity couplings taken simultaneously into account.
