Entanglement criterion for multipartite systems based on quantum Fisher information

Abstract

We propose a sufficient entanglement criterion for the multipartite systems based on quantum Fisher information. It complements the well-established positive partial transpose criterion in the sense that it is also able to detect bound entangled states. Moreover, it improves the well-known upper bound on the quantum Fisher information of separable multiqudit states introduced by Toth et al. [G. Toth and T. Vertesi, Phys. Rev. Lett. 120, 020506 (2018)] and hence detects a greater number of metrologically useful entangled states. This criterion is formulated as a simple inequality which must be fulfilled by the quantum Fisher information of separable states of multipartite systems. Violation of this inequality by a state reveals its entanglement and accordingly confirms its usefulness for quantum metrology. The efficiency of this criterion for detection of entanglement is illustrated through some examples.

A sufficient entanglement criterion based on quantum fisher information and variance

Qinghua Zhang, Shao-Ming Fei

Abstract We derive criterion in the form of inequality based on quantum Fisher information and quantum variance to detect multipartite entanglement. It can be regarded as complementary of the well-established positive partial transpose criterion in the sense that it can also detect bound entangled states. The inequality is motivated by Y Akbari-Kourbolagh et al [Phys. Rev A. 99, 012304 (2019)], which introduced a multipartite entanglement criterion based on quantum Fisher information. Our criterion is experimentally measurable for detecting any N -qudit pure state mixed with white noisy. We take several examples to illustrate that our criterion has good performance for detecting certain entangled states.

Entanglement detection and parameter estimation of quantum channels

Jun Suzuki

We derive a general criterion to detect entangled states in multipartite systems based on the symmetric logarithmic derivative quantum Fisher information. This criterion is a direct consequence of the fact that separable states do not improve the accuracy upon estimating the one-parameter family of quantum channels. Our result is a generalization of the previously known criterion for the one-parameter unitary channel to any one-parameter quantum channel. Several variants of the proposed criterion are also given, and then the general structure is revealed behind this sort of entanglement criteria based on quantum Fisher information. We discuss several examples to illustrate our criterion. In the last part, we briefly show how the proposed criterion can be extended to a more general setting that is applicable for a certain class of open quantum systems, and we discuss how to detect entangled states even in the presence of decoherence.

Detecting k -nonseparability via quantum Fisher information

Yan Hong, Shunlong Luo, Hongting Song

The $k$-nonseparability is a kind of multipartite quantum correlation which can be used to characterize some aspects of multipartite entanglement. In this paper, we discuss the detection of $k$-nonseparability of $n$-partite quantum states from an information perspective and obtain some $k$-nonseparability criteria in terms of quantum Fisher information. These criteria can identify many $k$-nonseparable states, and their advantages over an important and well-known $k$-nonseparability criterion [M. Huber et al., Phys. Rev. A 88, 042328 (2013)] are illustrated by several typical examples.

Entanglement detection via quantum Fisher information

Nan Li, Shunlong Luo

We propose an entanglement criterion in terms of quantum Fisher information, which complements the criterion based on variance and local uncertainty relations [H. F. Hofmann and S. Takeuchi, Phys. Rev. A 68, 032103 (2003)]. We illustrate the significance of this criterion by showing that it can reveal entanglement undetectable by the variance method. The dual relation between the criterion based on quantum Fisher information and that based on variance are highlighted. The combination of these two criteria leads to a refined method for entanglement detection, which is stronger than when either one is used alone.

Multipartite entanglement based on realignment moments

Hui Zhao, Zhuang, Shu-Ying, Naihuan Jing +1 more

Based on the realignment moments of density matrix, we study parameterized entanglement criteria for bipartite and multipartite states. By adjusting the different parameter values, our criterion can detect not only bound entangled states, but also non-positive partial transpose entangled states for bipartite quantum systems. Moreover, we propose the definition of multipartite realignment moments and generalize the result of bipartite systems to obtain a sufficient criterion to detect entanglement for multipartite quantum states in arbitrary dimensions. And we further improve the conclusion to obtain another new entanglement criterion. The new method can detect more entangled states than previous methods as backed by detailed examples.

Covariance matrix entanglement criterion for an arbitrary set of operators

V.K. Tripathi, Chandrashekar Radhakrishnan, Tim Byrnes

Abstract A criterion for entanglement detection based on covariance matrices for an arbitrary set of observables is formulated. The method generalizes the covariance matrix entanglement criterion by Simon (2000 Phys. Rev. Lett. 84 2726) to a more general set of operators using the positive partial transpose test for the covariance matrix. The relation is found by starting from the generalized uncertainty relation for multiple operators, and taking the partial transpose on the bipartition. The method is highly efficient and versatile in the sense that the set of measurement operators can be freely chosen, and there is no constraint on the commutation relations. The main restriction on the chosen set of measurement operators is that the correlators and expectation values of the partially transposed observable operators can be evaluated. The method is particularly suited for systems with higher dimensionality since the computations do not scale with the dimension of the Hilbert space—rather they scale with the number of chosen observables. We illustrate the approach by examining the entanglement between two spin ensembles, and show that it detects entanglement in a basis independent way.
