Optimal pumping of orbital entanglement with single-particle emitters

Yu. B. Sherkunov, N. d’Ambrumenil, Peter Samuelsson +1 more

We propose a method for the optimal time-controlled generation of entangled itinerant particles, using on-demand sources in a conductor in the quantum Hall regime. This entanglement pump is realized by applying periodic, tailored voltage pulses to pairs of quantum dots or quantum point contacts. We show that the pump can produce orbital Bell pairs of both electrons and holes at the optimal rate of half a pair per pumping cycle. The entanglement can be detected by a violation of a Bell inequality formulated in terms of low-frequency current cross correlations.

Theoretical method for states dynamics and entanglement optimization in bichromatically driven clusters of two and four resonantly interacting particles

Irina Basieva

Bichromatic laser pumping is an effective tool to control (e.g., to drive into an entangled state) solid-state quantum bits of different nature. For clusters of resonantly interacting ions under bichromatic laser pumping, we present a theoretical approach and approximate analytical solution for quantum states dynamics. The solution provides an optimal ratio of laser pulse intensities needed for creating the maximally entangled states and performing quantum gates. Numerical simulation corroborates the analytical results.

Generation of gaussian entangled states of light in an array of nonlinear waveguides

V. O. Martynov, Mironov, V. A., Lev A. Smirnov

We investigate the process of entangled state of light generation while propagation along a one dimensional array of single-mode nonlinear waveguides. We consider a situation when entanglement is formed due to spontaneous parametric down-conversion of the pump which is present only in a signal waveguide. In the considered process the generated state of light is multi-mode squeezed. We demonstrate that starting from certain distance of light propagation only pairs of waveguides, located symmetrically with respect to the pumped one, occur to be entangled. Also there is an optimal pump amplitude for which the formed quantum correlations are most pronounced. Entanglement for multi-mode squeezed states may be very sensitive for phase fluctuations in the pump. We investigate the influence of such noise on the discussed process. We demonstrate that for situation of generation of few photon entangled states the influence of phase fluctuations is negligible. But it dramatically increase with the growth of average photon numbers in the formed quantum states.
