Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of entropy exchange and entanglement in the atom-…eld interaction by the Jaynes-Cummings model in the presence of the transient e¤ects considered for the case of linear sweep. We …nd that the transient e¤ects do not in ‡uence the entropy exchange between the atom and the …eld.As the strength of these e¤ects increases, the oscillations of the entropy change and entanglement speed up.The entanglement behaves chaotically as the transient e¤ects become stronger

The Control of Entanglement in a Damped Jaynes-Cummings Model by Transient Effects

Hünkar Kayhan

In this work, we study the entanglement dynamics of the damped JaynesCummings model with the transient eects modeled as the linear sweep of the coupling coecient between the atom and the eld.We show that the decoherence of the entanglement can be controlled by the transient eects under the inuence of damping. These eects can accelerate and can decelerate the decoherence of the entanglement during the time-evolution of the system, by adjusting the frequency of the Rabi oscillations.

Control of Sudden Death of Entanglement by Transient Effects

Hünkar Kayhan

We investigate the properties of entanglement between an isolated atom and a Jaynes—Cummings atom in the presence of transient effects. These effects are due to the modulation of the atom-field coupling whose explicit time-dependence is considered for the case of the linear sweep. We show that the sudden death of entanglement can be controlled by the transient effects. These effects can suppress the sudden death of entanglement in time.

ENTANGLEMENT DYNAMICS OF TWO TWO-MODE TWO-PHOTON JAYNES–CUMMINGS MODELS IN THE PRESENCE OF PHASE DECOHERENCE

Jian-Song Zhang, Jing‐Bo Xu

We investigate the entanglement of two two-mode two-photon Jaynes–Cummings models in the presence of phase decoherence. We find an explicit analytical solution of the system and discuss the influence of the phase decoherenc on the entanglement dynamics. Our results shows that the entanglement of the two initially entangled atoms can remain zero for a finite time and revive later. However, if the phase decoherence is taken into accounted, the entanglement cannot revive completely.

Entropy exchange and entanglement of a moving atom with k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model

Jicheng Wang, Liao Qing-Hong, Yueyuan Wang +2 more

The entropy correlation and the entanglement of a moving atom interacting with k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model are investigated. Entropy exchange between atomic and field subsystems, which is a form of anti-correlated behavior, is explored. Analytical results show that atomic motion, transition number k of field and field-mode structure can influence the entropy exchange between atom and light field. Moreover, the relationship between entropy correlations and entanglement is also discussed.

DYNAMICAL SUPPRESSION OF ENTANGLEMENT SUDDEN DEATH IN A JAYNES–CUMMINGS MODEL EXTENDED

Xue‐Qun Yan

The Jaynes–Cummings model extended by the inclusion of mode structure and atomic motion is an elementary model that describes the interaction between a single atom and electromagnetic pulse. Based on the model, we explore the time evolution of the entanglement between two atoms, initially non-locally correlated and crossing separately two distinct cavities. Our results show that this model suggests a strategy to fight against the so-called entanglement sudden death, and in the situation resurrection of the original entanglement value occurs periodically and the entanglement will remain at the original value for a finite duration.

COLLAPSE AND REVIVAL OF ATOMIC ENTANGLEMENT IN AN INTENSITY DEPENDENT JAYNES–CUMMINGS INTERACTION

Papri Saha, A. S. Majumdar, Sudha Singh +1 more

The evolution of entanglement of a bipartite spin-1/2 system coupled to a micromaser cavity field in an intensity-dependent Jaynes–Cummings model is studied in this paper. The dynamical process of the entanglement is investigated for different cavity fields. We find that the interactions lead to a phenomenon of periodic entanglement and disentanglement between the qubits. Effects such as the growth of the magnitude of atomic entanglement with the increase of the cavity photon number, arising out of the intensity-dependent atom-cavity coupling lead to interesting dissimilarities from the case of entanglement generated by the standard Jaynes–Cummings interaction.
