Abstract

As one of essential multimedia in quantum networks, the copyright protection of quantum audio has gradually become an important issue in the domain of quantum information hiding in the decades. In this paper, an improved quantum watermarking algorithm based on quantum audio by using least significant qubit (LSQb) modification is proposed. Compared with the previous achievements, it can effectively improve the robustness and security of watermark for copyright protection of quantum audio. In the new algorithm, the least significant bites and the peripheral least significant bits of the amplitudes are modified in terms of their logical consistency and correlation to enhance watermark robustness of resisting various illegal attacks. Furthermore, the new algorithm can avoid the weak robustness defect of many previous algorithms that directly embedded the watermark into the least significant bits. In order to implement the new algorithm, some specific quantum circuits are designed to obtain better applicability and scalability for embedding and extracting watermark. Finally, the simulation results including the values of audio waveforms and signal to noise ratios (SNR) prove that the new algorithm has good transparency, robustness, and security.

High Efficient and Robust Quantum Watermarking Algorithm Based on Quantum Log-polar Images and Matrix Coding

Zhiguo Qu, Zhenwen Cheng, Ming‐Ming Wang +1 more

With the development of quantum computer and quantum network, the security of quantum images has been becoming more and more important in the 21st century. In this paper, a high efficient and robust quantum watermarking algorithm is proposed to better protect copyright of quantum images, which is based on quantum log-polar image (QUALPI) representation model, matrix coding and the least significant qubit (LSQb) modification technique. By taking advantage of QUALPI representation model’s two important properties, i.e., rotation and scale invariances, the new algorithm makes quantum watermark image extracted having a good robustness when stego image was subjected to geometric attacks, such as rotation and scaling. In addition, by adopting matrix coding and the LSQb modification technique, the new algorithm can achieve great transparency for high embedding efficiency and low modification rate. Experimental simulation based on MATLAB shows that the new algorithm has a good performance on robustness and transparency as the conclusions.

Quantum Image Reversible Watermarking Scheme using a Combination of the most Significant Qubit and the Least Significant Qubit

Gaofeng Luo, Ling Shi, Tongcheng Huang +1 more

Quantum image watermarking technology is influenced by embedding algorithm, which permanently distorts the embedded quantum carrier image. To protect and authenticate quantum images without damaging the carrier images, this study proposed a quantum image reversible watermarking algorithm combining the most significant qubit (MSQb) and the least significant qubit (LSQb).First, a binary watermark image, a grayscale carrier image, and an empty key image were represented using the novel enhanced quantum representation of digital images.Second, the encrypted qubit of the binary watermark image was matched with the MSQb of the carrier image. If they were equal, then the high qubit of the quantum key image was flipped.Otherwise, the encrypted qubit of the binary watermark image was matched with the XOR value of the lowest two qubits of the carrier image. The LSQb of the carrier image was modified according to the matching result. Finally, the quantum watermarked image was obtained.Simulation experiments and theoretical analysis verified the feasibility and watermark performance of the scheme. Results demonstrate that the scheme achieves correct extraction of quantum image watermark and lossless restoration of original image. The visual quality PSNR of the carrier image embedded with watermark through the scheme is improved by approximately 4% compared with that through the traditional LSQb method. The study provides a reference for studying and implementing reversible image watermarking technology in the era of quantum computer, which can be applied to harsh copyright protection and authentication of the visual quality of the original carrier image.

A self-adaptive quantum steganography algorithm based on QLSb modification in watermarked quantum image

Song-Ya Ma, Wenjie Liu, Zhiguo Qu +1 more

As one of important research branches of quantum information hiding, quantum steganography embeds secret information into quantum images for covert communication by integrating quantum secure communication technology and classical steganography. In this paper, based on the novel enhanced quantum representation (NEQR), a novel quantum steganography algorithm is proposed to transfer secret information by virtue of quantum watermarked image. In order to achieve this goal, the least significant qubit (LSQb) of quantum carrier image is replaced with the secret information by implementing quantum circuit. Compared with the previous quantum steganography algorithms, the communicating parties can recover the secret information tampered, meanwhile the tampers can be located effectively. In the experiment result, the peak signal-to-noise ratios (PSNRs) are calculated for different quantum watermarked images and quantum watermarks, which demonstrate the imperceptibility of the algorithm is good and the secret information embedded can be recovered by virtue of its self-adaptive mechanism.

Quantum Image Watermarking Based on Least Significant Bit for Color Images

Mutiarahmi Khairunnisa, Gelar Budiman, Ledya Novamizanti

The development of future technology allows the transfer of information transmission in quantum form to be more widely used. However, research related to data security is still in progress and is limited so that it can provide greater potential for data theft with quantum technology. One of them is the theft of visual information data (image). Thus, we need a data security system that can protect image information in quantum computing. Quantum image watermarking is a data security technique by inserting a watermark that aims to protect property rights for multimedia products, such as images. This study proposes a quantum image watermarking scheme based on (Least Significant Bits) LSB for copyright protection for color images. In the embedding process, the watermark image is inserted into the cover image using the LSB method, then transformed into a quantum state. In the receiver, the quantum value detection is carried out on the watermarked image to extract back the watermark that has been inserted. From simulation result, the quantum watermarking system obtains high imperceptibility, the watermark robustness to Pauli-X and Pauli-Controlled-NOT (CNOT) noise and high watermark payload.

A New Quantum Watermarking Based on Quantum Wavelet Transforms*

Shahrokh Heidari, Mosayeb Naseri, Reza Gheibi +3 more

Abstract Quantum watermarking is a technique to embed specific information, usually the owner’s identification, into quantum cover data such for copyright protection purposes. In this paper, a new scheme for quantum watermarking based on quantum wavelet transforms is proposed which includes scrambling, embedding and extracting procedures. The invisibility and robustness performances of the proposed watermarking method is confirmed by simulation technique. The invisibility of the scheme is examined by the peak-signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and the histogram calculation. Furthermore the robustness of the scheme is analyzed by the Bit Error Rate (BER) and the Correlation Two-Dimensional (Corr 2-D) calculation. The simulation results indicate that the proposed watermarking scheme indicate not only acceptable visual quality but also a good resistance against different types of attack.

Quantum audio LSB steganography with entanglement-assisted modulation

Chaolong Hao, Xukui Yang, Quangong Ma +3 more

Abstract This paper introduces two novel quantum audio steganography methods that incorporate the logical properties of entangled qubits into the least significant qubit steganography (LSQb) approach. The first method, called entanglement-assisted probability adjustment LSB (EP-LSQb), optimizes the superposition probability of the lowest qubits before embedding the information. This addresses the ‘value-pairing’ problem and improves anti-statistical analysis performance and embedding efficiency. The second method, called quantum phase direct embedding LSB (PD-LSQb), extends traditional LSB steganography by directly embedding the secret speech into the least significant qubit. Quantum circuits are constructed for both methods to demonstrate their feasibility. Theoretical analysis and simulation experiments show that these methods exhibit good imperceptibility (\({\text{PSNR}}>50\)) and embedding efficiency. Particularly, EP-LSQb method enhances the theoretical limit of embedding efficiency when compared to its corresponding classical counterparts. Additionally, due to the inclusion of entangled qubit particles, our methods offer competitive content security and noise robustness, distinguishing them from classical LSB or general LSQb methods and highlighting the unique advantages of quantum approaches.
